So, i have switched from an iphone 5, to a galaxy note, was so sold on android, i wanted to get rid of my ipad mini, so i bought a fonepad, percFect device... worked great, out of box, i rooted it, then attempted to change the dpi, since i have really great eyes, and love having that extra space these are the two most important things for me.
I am having a problem changing the dpi though, i have used apps, and set it in the build.prop, to no avail.. setting the dpi on the note 2 was super wasy easy, so, just wondering is the prossess different for the fonpad?
Anyone have any idea whats goinvwrong? Setting the dpi on the note was easy peasy,
Thanks in advance,
Here is a copy of y build.prop

Any luck with changing the DPI yet?

I'm fairly new to Android OS devices. I picked up a Sylvania SYNET7LP tablet running Android 2.2 OS.
Looking to utilize every inch of this device, but being held back, because it is recognized by most apps as an "unknown" device.
I would like to modify the build properties file to do so.
Here is my current build.prop:

Can anyone modify or help me modify these properties to another infoTM device, or something that could possibly work?
Thanks in advance
Hey guys,
I seem to be having some problems.
I have been trying to get games (such as order & chaos) to work on my device.
I have tried changed the build.prop to other devices (to trick play store) but no luck.
recently I read about changing pixel density but its not in my build.prop? I've seen some other
build.props and they seem to have allot more information than mine.
let me know if that looks correct to you all.
Thanks!

In case you get into trouble, here follows the stock build.prop for WW 26 firmware, just remember some lines should read "US" in your version:

You can read more on making changes to the build.prop file in my tweaks sticky thread (see sig. below).
When you're done, tell us if this method of "changing" the pixel density is the one that your apps were in fact trying to read.
Thanks for the reply!
I wasn't using the = when I had attempted it before.
but it still didn't fool the play store.. I found a apk that was modified for the tf101 but it crashes after loading the level.
guess I'll have to wait for gameloft to update.

I need these as well. Tried TechNow, got my build.prop screwed over by Uberizer. Tried to flash CookieRom, partitions messed up, 0x162 error in livesuite been flashing roms all night. No good.

did you guys find a rom? I need one too
to root use vroot, cant help with the rom.
So i want to play Half Life 2 and Portal on my Ultra, but it doesnt start (get back to app drawer).
Im thinking that its coz my device is not supported.
So magbe if i change build.prop it will start.
For now i have apk and data from net, but im trully willing to buy it if it will work. Unfortunatelly there is no demo apjs for now, wish that google will change that in the future.

Just tried using GLTools and games doesnt work, however i read somewhere that someone made HL2 usable on non shield device, so ill keep trying
EDIT: Its working. However now i need ps3/ps4 controller for my xperia
how to edi build.prop for nvidia shield games?

He didn't edit anything. He pirated the game, then used GLTools to run it.
It's working great on my S7 Edge, too: https://youtu.be/-3YGKDlSG2U
I've used Device Spoofer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scheffsblend.devicespoof&hl=en) on my old Galaxy Note 2 three years ago to buy. But it doesn't seem to work anymore. I've just tried to spoof my phone to buy Doom: BFG, but I can't access the Nvidia Lightspeed subpage on Google Play anymore.
I've got some old devices here, and will to fiddle with their build.prop files. I just saw that Nvidia have release the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot for Android TV. I'd be very interested to try that one out, too.

why is there no 'ro.build.flavor' in this? Also the codename for the tablet is shieldtablet, is that build.prop of the tablet or the portable cause codename for portable is roth!
Hi guys, I've managed to screw up my friends Kurio 7s attempting to change it's ID for the play store, so now the play store doesn't connect at all. douh! And brilliant me didn't back it up before I started editing it, so now even a factory reset cant save me. (as I've discovered)
So... I was hoping some kind soul here may have one of these devices that they could backup theirs and possibly bail me out by sharing it with me?
Just download a stock ROM and flash it...or just copy the built.prop from the stock ROM
that was the first thing I thought of, but unfortunately the stock rom for that device isn't available online, least not that I could find.
found one for the 7, but not the 7s.
please, someone has to have one of these devices! I'm desperate. My friend is still in the dark about what I have done to his device and I want to keep it that way. please someone help!
if it makes it any simpler of a request, I don't necessarily need the entire file, but just a copy of the text of the first half of the build.prop
no joy huh... guess I'm going to have to face the music and tell my friend what I did.
I've personally never seen one of these devises, so I guess that they are so uncommon noone here can help. bummer....
