I changed my Galaxy S4 device after a serious damage by water and had to reinstall all
my apps on the new SGS4 (I9505). The simple Photo-Editor by Samsung was my favourite in the past.
I already had it on my old SGS4 installed by pressing the "edit" pencil button in the stock gallery app.
On first use on my old S4 it downloaded the photo editor app from the Samsung Appstore by pressing the pencil button
.
When I tried it with my new device (I9505) today, the appstore didn't found a photo editor app and I got the 4002 Error
(App not found).
I tried to use my Computer to browse the Samsung Appstore, but when I filter all Galaxy S4 compatible apps
I cannot found the Photo-editor too. The old Galaxy S3 photo pditor (not compatible with SGS4)
was listet in "Galaxy Apps" when I change the device to SGS3.
Does anyone have this newer Samsung Photo Editor for the SGS4 in the past 3 months an could make/post a flashable .zip or create a .apk
file for me?
note: I tried the "SGS3 Photo editor .apk" without success
I change the request Threat to Q&A
Had missunderstood the topic rules *soory*
Its a system app on the i9500 so no downloading required for us
Extract and copy to system/app

Hello there, I am searching for the same app. Can anyone upload the apk or zip again. Thanks in advance.
...... Ohoh sorry the link was still okay.
But I can only access the editor true the gallery app. I can not find the editing app as a stand alone app in the list.
Any ideas how to access the editor app directly?

I am trying to get my hands on a working copy of Media Hub for my T-Mobile tab, does anyone have a working copy or know where i can get one? There is a copy used on the AT&T tab here at the forums, which works great, but that one intails changing some build.prop files and by doing so i no longer have access to the Samsung Apps app and it changes my tab to T849.
Hope sonebody can help me out.

EDIT: no need for the app as i will be keeping the one used for the AT&T tab, i just restored my original build.prop, that fixed my Samsung Apps app and my signature.

Yes thats right, but only for devices, which supported by that app. I need the apk file to test something and the only supported device I have is the Galaxy Note 10.1 but it´s not rooted, so I cannot extract the apk file from system folder.
Thats the reason why I ask, whether somebody can provide the apk file.
I don't think you are gonna get it as that would be distributing warez... Peel is licenced for the note 10.1 and that only... You might be able to purchase it from the App store but I wouldn't hold my breath....
Download ES File Explorer from the Play store. When you run it hit the APP MANAGER icon. Long press on the app and choose BACKUP. It will create an .apk file. Watch the screen closely and it will tell you where it created it. I believe it's /sdcard/backup/apps.
Thank you, that's working for me.

Also, App Backup from play store, its free. In app settings, choose 'show system apps' and it can backup any apk you need to any location.
Picking Up my GS4 on the 10th/11th and am immediately planning on Rooting it and then applying extensive boatware and lag controls.
I would very much appreciate if everyone listed the apps they Removed (R) or Disabled (D) as well as other settings that they applied to minimize the workload on the phone. I understand that these issues have been tackled individually but I'd like a consolidated thread where each person lists what they did and how big of a difference it made.
Below is a FAKE example of how I'd think these replies should be organized.
Looking for the following format:
D = Disabled R=Removed
APPS
D - App A
D - App B
R - App C
etc...
Settings Applied
- Changed Transition effect from 2 - 0.5 (location Developer settings)
- Turned off easy mode (location screen settings)
- etc...
Other Apps Used To Reduce/Eliminate Lag
- Installed XXXX App and did the following
a) changed XXX setting to off
b) changed YYYY setting to on
c) etc.
Effects - Phone feels much faster, I previously notice a lag [insert action here] and now I [do/don't/other]
This would really help us all just get all of our settings in sync with one another and move on from this lag and bloatware issue.
Root it and check my kernel mod settings here in General section.
There is a Google Docs spreadsheet that the guys over at the International S4 Forum have been working on. I've also contributed to it, however I noticed that the International S4 actually has less bloatware, and I don't mean Carrier bloat. It actually has less in the System Apps directory. Here is the List Of Removable Bloatware I was talking about.
Now we just need to create one similar that will apply to the SGH-i337 & SGH-i337M.

I'm just starting a Google Doc Spreadsheet right now and we can all contribute to updating it. Now, because there is only one version of the SGH-i337 and many versions of the SGH-i337M (TELUS, Bell, Rogers, Fido, Virgin Mobile, Koodo) I'll create separate pages since they all have their own carrier bloatware.

I'm experiencing no lag so I didn't bother looking for ways to solve that. I disabled most stuff that can be disabled. It's pretty easy to figure out what can be disabled if you've done it before. You can pretty much disable anything Samsung. There are a bunch of camera options that you might want to keep. E.g., BeautyFace. I forgot which app it was but disabling it prevented me from changing the lockscreen wallpaper so I re-enabled that. The only Samsung app I kept was WatchON to control my TV.

This is good info! Are you experiencing any Dependencies, Errors, or FC with any of the ones you deleted? For instance, I know that if you delete "Kies via WiFi", the Settings app will crash if you click on that option in the menu.

I have not had a single issue thus far and iv'e been using it like this for 3 days now..
If I click on Kies via WiFi in the settings, I get a popup saying the application has closed or something like that..

That's awesome. Would it be possible for you to post the file names of the APKs on your S4 so that I may add them to the spread sheet? I don't have the AT&T version and couldn't find them posted anywhere else.
I deleted everything raqball had in his list using titanium backup to uninstall them one by one. Well see how tomorrow goes

Well I've been at this all night. I'll continue with it later this afternoon, but here is the spreadsheet I've been working on. I was inspired to make this list by another user over in the International S4 forum.
This list will cover both the AT&T variant, as well as our Canadian i337M. I have the TELUS S4 which only had 1 carrier bloat app so I'll need everyone to help add to this list. At the moment I don't have the spreadsheet open ended for editing as the guys over in the International S4 forum had their document hijacked with random joke messages like "qwertyyyyyy", etc.
I'd really appreciate it if you could all share which carrier apps come with your version of your phones. I would need to know the .apk filename as well as the name that is displayed for the app.

It flat out scream now yes?
Deleting all the apps I did might not be for most people as they may want some of that junk.
I bought the phone for it's 5" 1080p screen and the processor. I can honestly care less about the AT&T / Samsung junk / crap. I don't see any of them as 'features'
Hi,
Recently for no particular reason, my image gallery now shows ALL of the picture in my phone. Thumbnails from reddit app, pics from my boot sequence, etc. I have a Bell SGH-I747M running the lastest CM11 snapshot (the june one). Now i searched on google and couldn't find anything that can fix the problem. I've uploaded some picture for you guys.

Try turning off Photos Sync, Picasa Sync and auto upload by Google +, Facebook and so on.
Turn off any photo syncing and after that make sure you delete the gallery cache.
Unfortunately, everything was already turned off. I turned it on then off again thinking that it was bugged, but nope. Folders are still there. When i delete them and quit the gallery app, they just come back again.

MediaScanner is not running correctly , thanks @It_ler for the hint. :highfive:
On some devices, connecting/disconnecting of the USB cable triggers the MediaScanner.
Here Rescan Media app from Play store to simply call the system's MediaScanner process.
If you don't want that the Gallery to show pics from special folders you can try to place a file called ".nomedia" into the folder(s).
Then trigger the media scanner again.
Thanks for your help but the app doesn't work (Crash right on startup), i tried other apps doing the same thing and all of them crash on startup or when i press the scan button. I'm not at home right now so i can't say much about the .nomedia trick. I think my root is just really ****ed up... I should unroot and start on a clean device. If you have any other possible solution feel free to post it!

Sorry, but for more relevant solutions you must follow the specific forum from here: AT&T Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi is there a Samsung app to do this?
thanks
Try with Samsung Flow
you can store them in the cloud and then just edit that doc from each device... MSFT drive offers also to allow you to keep a copy offlibe in your device/s as well... Or you can use something like ifttt to copy the file to/from places when it changes... there are alot of options
