[Q] Encrypted Tablet Loop - help pls. - Asus Transformer TF700

I installed CWM Recovery, then CyanogenMod on my Asus TF700t, and then encrypted the tablet.
I have been able to update it successfully (via the unencrypted external SDcard) several times to its current 10.1.2 state.
I now want to give the tablet to my Dad, and want to take it out of encryption mode.
When I try a "Factory Reset" from the normal Android 4.2 settings, it simply reboots, asks me for the PIN, but remains encrypted.
When I try to do a factory wipe from CWM Recovery, it says it can't mount the data (I believe because it's still encrypted) and just formats the cache.
What can I do to get rid of the encryption?
Thanks!

I seem to remember a similar case like this a few weeks ago.
Is there an option to just cancel when it asks for the pin? I think that was how that person got around it.
Try a search here on XDA.

wipe data
I think you have to wipe the data too.

[Q] Unknown Login Interface

Hi
I encountered a strange login screen after my xoom crashed after an successfull update without no reason. I searched the web and forums but couldn't find any reference.
Short story:
- Xoom bootlooped for no reason one day after recovery
- bootet into recovery, did da fullwipe
at the moment there is no os on the android as i wasn't able to flash one yet
if i now let the xoom boot, it first shows a boot animation with an android with a gear-ish badge around his belly and then it shows a login menu where i can enter a password (no username). I tried every password the xoom could possibly know, but no luck so far.
has anyone seen this screen before? What is the password?
What kind of a wipe did you do...for there to be no OS? Am I misunderstanding you?
i did a full wipe from the stock recovery menu? from my understanding it deletes everything on the device hence no os? or am i not getting this right? if not, the login screen is even more wired
Factory reset wipes your data.

5 minutes in EeePad Logo prior to bootup

This is not an exaggeration. Every time i boot up my TF101, It sits in the EeePad Logo for 5 mintes (timed) then it goes to the Asus logo for a few seconds and proceeds to boot.
What happens in the background of the EeePad logo? is there anything i need to check within the adb shell
I have dome a dalvik wipe, formatted data and system. even did a Superwipe and reloaded Android Revolution HD. Still getting these long boot times.
Any ideas?
I had those long bootups too while using Asus-based ROMs (ARHD..). I'm now using Megatron and the boot time is much shorter. Maybe due to a lean ROM without those Asus stuffs.

Ill try to find megatron and see if that helps
EDIT: found the ROM, it looks like there is still a bunch of bugs going on with it. I rather have a longer boot time than unreliability.
loaded megatron. same issue. sitting a very long time on the Eee Pad logo for 5 minutes, then when the Asus logo comes up its about 20, 30 seconds.
Hi,
I think you have lots of apps installed or another problem like this...
I know most of people hate doing it, but perform a full wipe and flash any rom. Should go faster...

Did you allow Google to restore your settings?

Yes, Yes i did.
Ok more info,
I did a complete wipe with SuperWipe and also did the Following:
Factory Reset, clear cache, clear dalvik cache, formatted system, formatted staging, and formatted cache.
The one I had the most issue with is /data
it seems to take forever to go through all the files. Even AFTER a successfull format of /data (so i think) it still takes quite some time to wipe it again.
I downgraded to Android HD 2.3.2, I still sit in EeePad screen for 5 minutes.
Again to be completely crystal clear, I am not getting a long boot in the ASUS screen (which i think is where the OS is loaded, i might be wrong) I sit for a while in EeePad Screen that takes 5 minutes to boot.
Even when I am in recovery and do flash a zip, choose from internal SD card, it takes about 4 - 5 minutes to show all my content on the /sdcard. is the drive going? is there corrupted data on one of the folders that i need to get rid of?
I could adb into the shell and wipe the whole damn thing, bit i have a feeling i wouls super brick it doing it that way.
Any input will help. Thanks!
Fixed.
What I ended up doing was going into Voulme Down + Power and doing a wipe data.
Now it boots in about 30 seconds.

Bootloop - Can access Recovery

Hey everyone,
So earlier this evening I attempted to flash a new ROM to my Transformer. Unfortunately, something went wonky during the Factory Reset and it froze for about an hour. Not knowing what else to do, I ended up resetting the tablet and booting back into Recovery.
Long story short, I currently have TWRP v2.6.3.2 installed and accessible. Unfortunately I am unable to boot into any ROM I flash. I am able to go through the setup process just fine (have tried CROMi-X 5.4 and CROMi-X 5.2.3), but once the tablet restarts after installing, I am stuck at a boot loop on the ASUS splash screen. Did I inadvertently delete some system files that aren't replaced with a new ROM?
I'm out of ideas at this point and am hoping someone out there can help guide me in the right direction. My current plan is to try reverting to the stock Android provided by ASUS on their website (4.2.1). I really appreciate any advice/help anyone can provide, and thank you in advance!
If you want to know what the problem is, get a logcat. If you just want to fix it, do another Factory Reset. If that doesn't work, run "Format Data" in TWRP (this may take 1-2 hours). Note that this will delete all your user data on the tablet.

Thank you so so much for your help _that. I had no luck after doing another Factory Reset, but a second run through TWRP's "Format Data" worked like a charm. Kudos to XDA for being the savior of my sanity!

[Q] Decryption Unsuccessful Error - Cannot boot

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 GT-P5110 which I had successfully installed CM12 onto. I decided to set up work email which insisted that I encrypt the device. I believe that the process completed successfully.
At that point I decided that I would like to flash the device with CM12.1. Restarted the process (Factory reset, Wipe Cache, Wipe dalvik cache) and flash the new CM12.1 zip file from external SD card.
I cannot now get to the recovery mode and the device doesn't always boot into anything recogniseable. The screen goes black and blacker! I have manaed to get to the CM logo and then a screen asking me for the PIN for the encryption. The next screen tells me that the PIN is right but the data is corrupt. It gives me the option to "RESET TABLET" but that really doesn't do anything and won't let me in to the recovery menu.
I can get into the Download mode and connect Heimdall up to it.
Is there anything that anyone can point me at that will help me to unbrick it?
I hope I've passed on enough information to help. It seems to me I need to somehow re-format the internal SD but I can't get to any menu that will allow me to do that.
Any thoughts anyone?
Ta
Fixed It
I seem to have fixed it. I flashed the CWM Recovery rather than the recovery that I had been trying to use and I got control of the device back. Not sure why that made a difference but this time the Android Robot came on screen with the 3D polygon rotating inside it and it seems to be running correctly now and updated to Android 5.1 ... Magic!

Problem with BlissPop: Stuck at "BlissPop is starting..."

Hello to everyone, posting this here as I don't have access to ask in the forum post for BlissPop - I.E fresh user
I'm having issues with my "recalled" shield tablet (wifi), I had it flashed to BlissPop successfully previously but when I tried reflashing it the other day I was met with a major roadbump: It just won't load the ROM.
The tablet freezes at the screen following the installing and optimization of each application - basically my screen is stuck at a small wall of text saying the following:
"BlissPop is starting...
Powered by Team Bliss
Starting apps.
Please wait for the optimization process to finish."
And before you ask, yes I have waited long enough (left it on through the night just to be sure - this thing won't load).
My procedure is as follows.
Bootloader is CWM and it is rooted beforehand.
1st off going into recovery mode.
#2 Wipe data/cache/dalvik cache - done
#3 Installed BlissPop via sideload, then gapps_pico afterwards (I've tried wiping cache+dalvik before installing gapps to no help.)
#4 Rebooting from CWM, here I've tried both allowing and denying CWM to "fix" root settings.
I've tried the first ROM I installed (when wifi/lte versions were available) and the newer releases - same problem with both.
After this I am met with this screen that won't budge, anyone got a possible solution to this issue?
Hey I just received my replacement tablet and was going through this process too. I did some digging around and found / remembered that having an external SD card socketed can cause this problem. So I powered my device off, removed the card and then rebooted without major issue.
Hope this helps.
I don't have any SD card in my tablet though, thanks anyways.
Did you format system?
If not then do format system/data/cache

Tried doing a format of system as well as data/cache/dalvik, still getting same result :/
Not sure its still helpful or not...i saw the xda thread regarding to this thread and whoever tried to flash the last zip got stuck at boot. So I'm guessing if you will flash a different one (by this time maybe they upload a new one) maybe you could get rid of it..

When I switched to BlissPop I had to format /data because TWRP was unable to wipe it. TWRP offers that option unter "advanced wipe". Might be the same with CWM.
any help my phone stuck on this boot loop and i dont know what to do now , any fix ? i dont wanna have broken phone i did everything that u guys said nothing works
