charging problems

I have a rooted skyrocket running stock rom and when I am charging and using it at the same time the touch screen goes crazy. Has anyone experienced this and what can I do to fix it?

Like it'll lag to unlock? Or get stuck/freeze on the lockscreen?

I'll be scrolling website and it will select instead of scroll or be brousing through photos and instead of going to the next pic the current one will zoom. When I'm typing a email or text it puts the wrong lettoer up or don't space. The screen just does crazy things.
It only does it when its charging because when I unplug it the crazyness stops

Same here. My phone has a mind of its own when charging. Off the charge and its fine..

What charger are you using? I think this is revered to as a "grounding issue"
I notice it when using really powerful chargers
1a and lower don't seem to cause the issue

Listen to the cube when it's plugged in.. If you hear a high pitched whine you need to have at$t replace your charger and possibly your battery.. At the least your charger, battery is just a hey give me something.

Guy I bought my SR from had three of them and had to have all of his chargers replaced twice.. One of them three times until he got good ones.. And the one he gave me wasn't good.. I ended up using my i777 charger and throwing the cube one away.

Samsung SGH-T769 battery

This probably has been posted, any who. Has anybody gotten another battery? If so from where? Cause I've seen the ones on amazon are like. $10, and Samsung sells them for $40. So if anybody can point me where to buy a replacement battery, I'll be thankful. My battery drains without usage.. it doesn't matter if it has NFC BTW.

Are they used? How much do you want for them? I've been considering getting a replacement battery from amazon as well but I wonder how good those $10 batteries are.

Only one.. but really, I'd rather buy from amazon.. or at least, not have to use pay pal. Thanks, though.

Wasn't offering to "sell" them. They are junk. Would of tossed you one. Lasts about 3-4 hours. And that's every battery I've used that was not official Samsung.

Damn that's a shame. If the offer is open to everyone PM me as I wouldn't mind having an extra battery to play with.

Eh if your just tossing them out I may take a few. They may only last a couple hours, but its better than my faulty power skin that lasts 2 minutes lol

Haha I now have a spare battery and a battery charger. My sisters phone went swimming. Phone is dead but the battery is fine. Also oddly enough the phone will still charge the battery! She got a nexus 4 as a replacement and I'm jealous as h***

Cracked screen

How can i deal with it? I accidentally dropped it after i plugged it to charging.

Samsung customer care centre can fix it for some money and i won't recommend you to go to any one else other than Samsung...

Now i see thr meaning of the PM. I didn't go to a service yet. It works just fine even with the screen cracked. However, a replacement shouldn't usually cost more than $60

Charging problems

As the title says my phone isn't charging properly. I know it's not the charger itself because my gf uses it also and it works just fine for her. I've bought a new battery and it hasn't made a difference either. My phone this morning after 4 hrs in the charger has only gone up 5% this problem has been going on for weeks now. Im hoping someone here has an idea what's wrong.

Last thing it could be is a hardware issue, either a bad connection or somethings wrong with the charging connection to the battery.
Could also be a bad USB cable, if it's going bad it won't hold a good connection very well.
If you're out of warranty then your best option would be to buy a external battery charger and an extra battery, not ideal, but at least you'll have a way to use your phone.

I know, so it isn't a problem with your battery or charger or USB cable, then it has to be your phone, but it's impossible to know for sure what's wrong. You might be able to fix it by replacing the charging port, or it could be a bad connection from the charging port to the motherboard, or it might be a bad connection from your battery to your charging prongs...
Could be a number of issues. If you're under warranty still then send it in to Samsung, if you're out of warranty then search around and see if you can get it repaired for a reasonable price, swapping batteries will also work for the meantime.

I've only had my phone for a few months so it should still be under warranty. Do I call up Verizon and they take care of it?

Yes, they will try to troubleshoot it but by the looks of it you've tried everything. They will just send you another phone. As long as your current one doesn't have any physical damage or water damage

Exactly, if Verizon won't help you then Samsung will. Try Verizon first, you definitely deserve a new phone.

Why is my battery so bad after root? Help?

Hi guys, so 2 days ago I rooted my phone and I flashed a new radio. Ever since my battery has been terrible. It dies really quick and it takes time to charge and no it is not the chargers fault. Here are some pics to tell u guys further.

thank you, i have successfully calibrated my battery however the life of my battery was still better when i had the stock rom. Any further ideas? Thanks for all. the help guys.
