Please help! - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am trying to install CMW Recovery on my 10.1 but every time I try to go into Recovery Mode it goes into Android System Recovery instead
Hope this is something simple to resolve
As per when I try to do stuff like this I am on it for hours before I make any progress!!!
Please help
HighOnAndroidCWMRecoveryGTN8000.tar was the last one I tried but still goes into Android recovery and not CMW Recovery

I have just resolved this so I suppose I should share what I done
I un-ticked "auto-reboot" in Odin to avoid booting into Android
Took me a while to find this, not 1 website or guide is saying to untick this box

try holding power and vol+ for at least 10 seconds, and keep holding it. or try power and volume down for 10+ seconds.
should attempt to get you into recovery or download mode.

i can go to the recovery mode and download mode..i already flash my tab in download mode and wipe data in recovery mode.but the problem still there
so what should i do?
see if you can get an adb log, you could also try Samsung Kies (2.0) It may have trouble finding device/ installing drivers; you might want to connect it in download mode. There are emergency recovery options in Kies I think, but its probably same thing as Odin. Are you sure that is the correct firmware for your device? are you familiar with Odin? possible bad flash/disconnected?/bad cable?
i recommend try flashing whatever firmware you originally had. a full stock one with .pit file would be ideal.
try sammobile.com/firmwares

Try this instructions carefully. It works for any samsung phones:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27043121&postcount=9
but in step 3, when it says if you weren't in GB, don't worry about it. What it is, if you change version of android (i.e. from Honeycomb to ICS and vice versa), than you need to include pitfile and repartition, as well as flashing dbdata.rfs.
Thanks buddy
I will try as u suggested
and will come back soon after flashing
thanks
still same problem please help
i tried flashing as u suggested and successfully compleated but still restarting only 1 thing improved that is now am able to switch off my tab
please guys help me dnt wanna loose my tab
and 1 more thing in odeen, where i can put dbdata file
please help
You can flash dbdata on pda field as well. Make sure you use the correct file. Before you proceed with it, can you go to recovery mode and do factory wipe? Let me know if you got any mounting error message or not after wipe.
Nore: if you need a pitfile, you can download this:

Any solution yet? My device suddenly acting the same way when I doing Factory Reset in cmw recovery. I've try doing reflashing via odin to xxkl7 and dxkl3 with no lock, im still stuck bootlooping on first splash screen.
Something I found is that if Im flashing the rom using heimdall, it always failed on flashing the cache, with a message saying that heimdall being crash. Any advice?
continue holding vol up and power through 2 reboots, you should get recovery mode.
My device also experiences similar symptoms when formating /data. Perhaps the file system is corrupt or mild superbrickbug.
Anyways what I usually do Is Odin back to stock, when it passes it hangs at boot, reboot to recovery and factory reset/ wipe data. Should boot now.
For /cache issue. try the first step I mentioned to get into recovery and wipe /cache, actually format it too, if you have CWM Recovery. Wipe dalvik and factory reset too. Then I would try Odin to stock. And again wipe /data if stock Odin doesnt boot.
good luck.

[Q] Recovery booting, Samsung Custom???

I tried to follow the thread by open1your1eyes0 on how to install custom recovery, root and unlock after taking the OTA.
I followed the instructions down to the part where I install a custom recovery. I tried CWM since I am most familiar with that, but the MD5 didn't check out after downloading 2 different instances of it. So I ventured out with TWRP. Flash was successful through Odin, but I couldn't get into recovery mode. So i tried to flash CWM over it. Either way, I don't think the custom recovery flash worked and now my boot screen says "Recovery booting", shows a Samsung logo, a lock picture, and says Lock. i cna get into what looks like stock recovery and it looks like my Android robot got shot and a triangle with a ! is coming out of his torso. He doesn't appear well.
Can anyone help me out here and explain what happened and how to fix it?
If you let your phone boot up then it did re write the stock recovery. Re flash your recovery making sure auto reboot is unchecked when it says passed unplug your cable pull the battery, put it back in then try to boot into recovery
If I helped you in some way.... pass on the favor and help the next person!

Hmm... won't let me get to Odin mode. I do the 3 button method, then once the disclaimer appears, I try to hit Volume Up before it automatically reboots. It briefly shows the Odin download screen then just reboots anyway to the Samsung Custom lock boot screen.
Well that's strange! Try pulling your battery, letting it sit for a couple then trying to go into Odin mode again

[Q] CWM Recovery not working

Hi,
I have been following XDA since two years and this is the first time i am having to post something due to lack of a relevant thread.
My fastboot nightmare started a month ago, when i had tried to back up my ROM using ROM manager. I tried but failed to use the KDZ update since my phone would not get detected. I flashed a stock firmware using LGMDP to regain functionality of the phone.
On rerooting my phone this time, i think the CWM recovery was not installed properly. My phone used to hard reset every time I tried to reboot into recovery. I used LGMDP again to flash another image of CWM, which got it into the recovery mode but i cant seem to go beyond the main menu. Whenever i select an option on the menu, the screen goes blank, showing only the CWM logo in the background and does not go any further. I cant restart my phone through the menu either, and have to remove my battery and replace it to be able to exit the recovery menu in the first place. Also, my recovery mode shows "E:Bad boot message "recovery" " at the bottom of the screen, which i think used to come before the nightmare too, but i'm not really sure.
Even on updating the recovery through ROM manager, it takes time to flash but is never completed. I get the message saying "An error while flashing your recovery" and that's all.
Please help me out here. After a year of ICS and subsequently JB, i'm having to use GB with no workably way around so you can imagine my frustration.
What do i do?
P.S.:- as i post here, it just clicked me if i should try flashing a different recovery img file through LGMDP. I will let you know if that works. Till then, any and all replies are appreciated.
Alright, my work is done. Flashed AmonRa this time manually using the terminal emulator. I found the solution at:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1146566
Thx anyways, guyz...

Samsung Note 10.1 2014 fix?

So yesterday I was flashing my recovery rom on my SM-P605 with philz advanced rom from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2570829. It flashed successfully but the recovery says recovery booting..... recovery is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit :recovery. However I know i could just boot into download mode and flash on a clean recovery but no whenever i try to boot the device into recovery or even try to turn it off it goes straight back into recovery. I tried every single button combination imaginable and nothing is working! What can I do! I really need to be able to resolve this because this is the tablet I use for school and without it I am literally and utterly screwed over. Please help me.

N8000 Stuck on Boot logo, can not replace TWRP when flashing something else using Odi

Almost a year ago I rooted my n8000 and loaded Blis Pop 5.x.x with TWRP. The first period was quite ok, but suddenly it decided not to boot. I was starting but was not able to pass the Bliss Pop load animations.
I tried flash a new recovery tool and ROM using Odin but none of my various trials was successful.
The current situation is :
I can go into download mode. Odin seems to flash successfully though I can not see the expected results.
Normal boot ends up boot logo standing on the screen until the system shuts down because of low battery.
When I try to go into recovery mode, I and up with a non responsive TWRP screen, standing still until the system shuts down because of low battery. ( I tried to flush different ones, but always TWRP is coming up after rebooting).
Could any one have an advise to recovery the device or an idea why this is happening?
Thanks in advance.
PS. Please to not post items, saying "I have the same problem".
<<PS. Please to not post items, saying "I have the same problem". >>
What if they have the same problem and have fixed it ??
Suggest you try flashing Philz Recovery via Odin .

In that case I think what their post should be "I had the same problem"
I already tried these ones but did not change the result :
Philz Recovery touch 6 26 6
CWM touch 6 0 3 6
IS Philz Recovery different then the one I have tried.
with those ones after the reboot (manual or Odin initiated) I end up with TWRP in recovery mode.
