I just wanted to raise some awareness about a particular launcher that I have now adapted permanently on my S3 .. It is the Tile Launcher Pro from the Play Store. mod edit
This launcher is honestly like no other, as it allows the user to adjust practicality any parameters to their liking and I guarantee no two Tile Launcher setups will ever look the same!

The features of this launcher are as follows:
Smooth, multidirectional, widget-compatible tile-based launcher for Android 4.0+.
Scroll Direction - Select horizontal (left to right) or vertical (top to bottom)
Tile Customization - Select your own font, font size, title, icon, and background!
Icon Packs - Support for all icon packs from Nova/Apex/ADW/GO/Launcher Pro/Atom/Next Launcher
Scroll Settings - Configure your scrolling speed, direction, and overscroll effect
Animations - Scrolling animations between homescreens and the app drawer
Sliding Drawer - Swipe left, right, up, or down for the app drawer
Snap Effect - Perform an action, switch screens or open the drawer when overscrolling
Homescreen Dimensions - Select # of rows, columns, and margins, or increase your screen size
Toolbar - Choose font, colors, icon, or a Jellybean-styled date widget - or hide it if you don't want it
Lock/Unlock Desktop - Lock your desktop to prevent accidental changes

Tiles background res
Hi I gave this launcher a go. I wanted to use Launcher 7 pngs to customize tiles, but there's an image resolution problem because they look pixeled. On diagonals more than anything, for example on the "Y" of youtube tile, and the play store tile wich is a triangle.
I hope you can tell me the res I should use to resize the pics.

edit: tryed to use the pngs as background images for tiles, not as icons, just wanted to clear it. It's obvious but... idk

Wouldn't say its 'brand new' is I think this was new when the G1 was out. But its good to see this hasn't died like so many other launchers.

Hi all
This is my first "real" application. I done only CyanogenMod themes until now. For learning something about Android programming, I developed a small app, Commands Launcher.
It is very simple: you can define commands (only shortcuts actually) that you can use in a widget (homescreen and lockscreen).
I hope to add more features in the future, but as I'm an university student at the last year, I won't have much free time.
WIDGETS:
-Homescreen widget with a list of the commands defined (better than folders, it has an unlimited capacity and helps in saving space)
-Lockscreen widget [only from Android 4.2] that allows you to run commands directly from the lockscreen, without unlocking the device (note that this obviously won't work if you have a pin /password security for the lockscreen)
-1x1 minimum size
APP FEATURES:
-homescreen and lockscreen widgets
-three different text sizes for widgets (small, medium, big)
-side scrolling menù for helping app's navigation
-view of commands defined in a list
-backup and restore your commands in and from sd card
-three themes: light, dark, black (black is useful for amoled users, it will displays better and will save battery)
-four different transitions types between app's page
CHANGELOG
-1.5: now items of the list in the widget are centred
minimum widget size decreased from 2x2 to 1x1 (you may need to replace widgets)
-1.3: possibility to change widgets text size (small, medium, big)

Each icon weighs approximately 22kb even after full compression which has caused the size of the app to increase substantially. Integration of ActionBarSherlock has also somewhat increased the size. Hope the size of the App won’t be a problem.

In fact, it's only conceptually similar as both are based on the basic google launcher3 code. However, it provides many more customization options like notification count options, gestures, security options (password or fingerprint protect), gestures, grid-size changer and many more in the pipeline.
