I found this really minimal launcher that is very light and smooth. Its called sicksky launcher and its by the same dev who made zeal launcher. The launcher is still in beta but it works great. It has a spot where there are panels that come up when pressing bottom left tab and hopefully it will allow you to add your own panels in later updates. And it has a app drawer tab on bottom right.
Heres link to play store its free https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sicksky

The launcher has potential, I tried the beta a few weeks ago. Until it moves further along in development though, I'm sticking with Zeam Launcher.

Probably, there's an Xposed module that allows any app from play store but I can't remember what it's called.
The way this launcher lays out suggests it is DPI dependent.
There is a bar to top and bottom so it is probably designed to snap to default DPIs such as 180,240,320

It's a new launcher and it's got that great PS3/PSP feel, plus it's extremely organized! I'd say that this is the best launcher if you're looking for the Playstation look and feel!

My guess is that it's for apps that deal with cellular communication and apps that don't come with a genre tag or something. I guess it's the Misc. tag of the app.

So I bought Chameleon Launcher for my TF101 and thought: This would look pretty good on my Note. So I did it!! Now my Note has Chameleon Launcher running perfectly.
What I did was:
- Made a backup of the Chameleon Launcher app with TB on my TF101
- Extracted the three files from my backup folder and put them on my backup folder on my Note.
- "Restored" Chameleon Launcher on my Note with TB
- Changed the System DPI to 192 (I`m on Paranoid Android)
- And that's it
It looks and works pretty good

It can but due to the widgets being so big you only get about two per screen and your phone has to be always in landscape or else it will force close. With 192 you can use your phone in portrait with no problems and you get a grid of 2x4 in portrait and 4x2 in landscape

I am only just getting into the Chameleon Launcher concept and while I haven't bought it, it does look cool and it would something I would try out (expensively) on a Galaxy Note II (if I decide to get one).
Do you think a Google Play spoofer would allow me to grab this without using an APK off a tablet?

I'm not sure, I would guess you would some how have to modify your build.prop to make it think it's a whole diferent device. On the other hand, if you could get the apk by any mean would probably be able to install it. But being it's a paid app, I strongly suggest buying it if you really like the launcher don't go out on a pirate hunt for the apk haha :silly:

Yes I can see that being a huge problem
I bought this app a while ago while it was still pre beta, but as yet haven't even been able to download it from the market.
Apparently a galaxy note screen is not enough to satisfy the download requirements.
I don't have a tablet either so not sure how I will get this on my phone now!

Okay, the long anticipated successor of Launcher7, is finally here; Launcher8. This one is made by Timo Kujala, and was published today, APRIL 1ST....
So yeah check it out...
I'm pretty sure it doesn't work with tablets, based on responses, but I am not sure.
Play store:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.tikusoft.l8
Apk - April 1st
http://db.tt/V1OpN9uP
Apk - April 2nd
http://db.tt/MyZuF8Pw
Change log;
April 1st - Initial Release!
April 2nd -
-newly pinned tile should no longer overlap the bottommost tile
- shortcut to contact should now work in larger number of devices
- calendar tile should no longer crash with some htc devices
- widget resize handles are no longer drawn in hardware accelerated mode in android 3.0 - 4.0, this should prevent crash due to unsupported graphics operation
- some crash fixes here and there
Not compatible with my Gtab 2? I'm running CyanogenMod 10.1.
Thanks!

Hope it offers the same degree of customisation as Launcher7.

Hey guys, no need to be sorry, honest question you all asked... But I think this app is way more smooth and fast when it comes to Navigating and adding apps to screen and scrolling, etc. (not the animation on start up of an app though). Hope that helped. This looks better in the settings of the app for me too.

I'm fully aware that the problem is with me, I've been using the previous version of this app (Launcher 7), and can't figure out how to add tiles...
I would greatly appreciate it if some one would describe the steps I should take for adding new tiles, and after that I would feel a great deal of embarrassment about not figuring this out for myself...

very cool, it's just a bit too slow (on a sgs2) to replace my current launcher
the only issue I've noticed is following, when I tried looking for my friend Thomas, it first did show me his contact in "people" but then changed to the screenshot:
I had to select the second option before it went back to the first screen. Maybe less intrusive suggestions (as I don't know where Thomasville is, I also am not interested in their furniture :silly
But I certainly will keep an eye out on this one!

Hi supermooshman and others
Like you discussed and figured out- we still don't support the entire globe, but we work on adding more locations! We work on local content and similar issues so it takes a bit time.
I personally have a sgs2 and I agree it's a bit slow (it's been through a lot so I don't blame it )- we work on improving performance as well. All takes time, unfortunately.
Please share suggestions or bugs you bump into- we want to polish this app and make it even awesomer. Help us in this quest.

And also: When you're in, for example, CPU Settings, and press Menu, then re-browse the CPU Settings again, it shows no Texts/Images...
Edit: And another: Voltage Control gives FCs...
Hope this helps you man

Good work MBQ_, but why use the menudrawer for everything? I think showing the CPU info as the start page would be more efficient than just a blank screen.
Additionally, Holo Dark implemented. Holo White burns my sensitive eyes.

I've noticed, but it seems counter-productive to have the screen show nothing instead of showing something. You can still use the menudrawer for selection, but have the CPU info available ASAP.
Some more screens

I know what I'm doing today!
Going to use the MenuDrawer to group the selections, and a better looking viewpager so you can slide between options.
More later.
