Hello guys!
Last night, I set a custom ringtone for a contact via 'People'. I noticed that the effect it has - Calls and Whatsapp notifications from this contact now uses the same custom ringtone which I set yesterday. When I tried to set it back to 'Default', I noticed that there's no 'Default' option in the list of ringtones available. The ringtone which was default can be selected but that would results in Whatsapp ringtone to use that one too instead of its own default ringtone, which is a different one.
Appreciate it very much if someone know how to actually reset contact ringtone back to default? Its driving me nuts!

In settings--->sound--->phone ringtones set it to sense simple

Hey,
I'm desperately driving insane since I cannot set ringtones impartially for different profiles. If I set a ringtone for profile 'Normal' it is automatically set for profile 'Vibrate' as well. Plus the other way around. Furthermore I have no option to set an SMS tone but an MMS tone. Can anyone help me out before I'll smash my Herald against that neat wall infront of me?

have u tried to put the ringtones on My Documents ---> My Ringtones folder?
if u had put them there, it should be working to set ringtones for different profiles..but dont forget to change sound and notification on setting menu

I've added a ring tone to a contact in my list, but when they call it just plays the main ring tone. Anyone else having this issue? I searched and didn't see anything, this is a HTC Arrive (with NoDo of course) not sure if that matters.

I also noticed this.
I figured it was due to the custom ringtone i added.
I also added a custom ringtone, but if I set a contacts ringtone to one of the built in ones it still doesn't work. Perhaps the act of adding a custom ringtone breaks the ability to set contact specific ringtones? I hadn't set one before that so I'm not sure. I'll try deleting the custom ringtone (if I can) and see if I can then set contact specific ringtones. Anyone who has never added a custom ringtone and does have contact specifc ring tones? are they working?

Everything was fine until I realized I cant change my custom ringtone anymore. Whatever ringtone I set the custom one would ring even though it showed the other one is selected. So I deleted the ringtone and then was able to change it.
However only after a little while the phone just stopped ringing, the default tone seems to be silent and whatever I put it wont change. I put back my custom ringtone, rebooted, then deleted all the custom ringtones again and yet I am unable to get my phone to ring.
I have tried setting a ringtone through playerpro music player as well but to no avail.
The notification sound comes as normal. I am running stock unrooted 4.0.4. What should I do?
Figured out the problem. There were some specific contacts that did not have a ringtone assigned to them and my own second phone was one of them from which I was doing the testing. I was using a profile scheduler app previously and in that I had put some of the contacts on the whitelist to allow them to call me even on silent mode. So it was the app which was controlling those contacts and even after uninstalling it the settings hadnt defaulted.

I am using Honor 6 (H60-L04) from past 15 days. I have set Phone Ringtone for a particular user(Phone Contacts), Under Contacts--->Username(Phone Contacts),-->Ringtone(Phone Ringtone). If that user(Phone Contacts), calls me ringtone will played as i set as earlier. But my problem is that same tone will played if i get whats app notification also. I have set defaults notification in whatsapp. For rest of the users is working fine.
Anybody who has solution for this please reply.
I have a Nexus 5 running stock marshmallow, 6.0.1. I'm trying to set a custom SMS notification for a single contact. When I edit a contact, there is an option to "set ringtone". I don't see any way to set the notification. Is it possible using stock android or do I need an application?
Also, when I select "set ringtone", it provides 9 options including default ringtone and none. I was able to set a specific ringtone when I wanted to return it to default ringtone the option was not available. I was able to return it to default by deleting and recreating the contact. Any idea why it provides different ringtones after you change it? Is there another way to return to default ringtone other than deleting and recreating?
