Id like to (also as a learning expirence) to make my own ROM completely from ASOP.
Is there a simple guide or something similar? Ive read the Android source code site but its a bit to "stretched out". A noob guide would be nice.

The problem with this guide is that its based on a specific device. A global generic one would be nice.

Can anyone post a link where i can read up on Kernels? What all the abbreviations mean? I'd prefer a link not opinions.
They all say not to use them if you don't know what your doing but don't point to where you can learn about them?

I was just coming here to post the same thing.
I flashed trinity kernel, but have no idea what to do with it. Which means I probably shouldn't have flashed it, I know.

Once we have AOSP code published and Samsung source code too, is it really difficult to build a new ICS image?

Is there no way someone who HAS root on 4.4.4 to get their phones images ripped or something and put them out for people to flash? I understand it might not be possible, but im just throwing ideas around.

Some local brand in our country. What thread is the posting of roms of unofficial devices?
I suppose you could try here. Though it seems centered around this Slim ROM. But it does seem to hard to find a place despite being so much stuff on here.
