I already have a problem with SlimKat Build 3.4, sometimes Show error “media.process.android error”, what could it be?

Hi, is root needed in order to flash this kernel ?
Can you give us a download link of the kernel also ? tnx

Hello,
I flashed that kernel for dt2w and the battery drains more than before. What kernel should I use to get a good battery life and also to be stable ? Or how can I get back to stock kernel ? I`m using MIUI 7 Global Version.
Thanks !

Yeah it drains battery, better not use it for the time being.
To get back to stock kernel, try flashing MIUI 7 Gobal ROM from updater app. You should get stock kernel. Also clear cache from recovery after flashing.

Just flash the rom and found out that my exfat sd card isn't support. Can this be fixed or we have to wait for google to fixed it?

I guess your phone not going to deepsleep mode. Check any wakelock that keeping your phone awake. You can use Wakelock detector or BetterBatteryStats app. I'm also reccomend you to disable l2hsic & Arch power in Synapse -> Miscellaneous.
I got this SOT in latest version. Not great, but it good enough for me.

Thx For advice I will do what you reccomend and I will reinstall the rom. Do you think using greenify and ampliyf helps to battery life ( amplify without any settings. as defult ) ?
Also do you think changing resolution via Synapse helps ?

Greenify helps a lot to improve the battery life. Amplify will affect battery life if you know how to use it. If you leave it default, don't hope too much. And for changing resolution of the screen, i don't think it will improve battery life a lot. Maybe just a little bit.
Seems we are getting out of topic. This isn't GearCM 12.1 thread. So lets back to the topic

Every ported rom was poor battery time. Probably because there is no suitable kernel.

The battery time won't be something like 3hrs+ as youre using s7 rom on s5 same thing eith other ported roms, you have to sacrifice thr battery time in order to use the roms from other devices. Kernel wont make much difference anyways

its true what you said but i also believe that the kernel play a little role on battery drain too , and since there is not a lot kernels devs for our phone, we do struggle with kernels ...
I used @licha26's stockkernel and battery life has become very good. And there is no overheating when charging.
