Installation:
Note: From version 3.11.8, the rom is reported to have been compatible for the AT&T version.
For the AT&T version i suggest not flashing Gapps as it is reported to have been causing FC's
Steps:
Wipe Data
Flash ROM
Reboot to ROM and then after setup.
Flash Gapps Minimal 4.4.4 (optional)
Reboot..
If coming from a previous version:
Flash the upgrade
Flash Gapps Minimal 4.4.4 (optional)
Wipe dalvik-cache and cache partitions
Reboot
**The steps are the same for BMM or any other recovery.
You don't have to use any patches in BMM for it to boot**

The differences between Official MIUI V5 and Unofficial MIUI V5:
1) Official MIUI V5 is developed by MIUI official. Unofficial MIUI V5 are done by unofficial MIUI devs who have been porting MIUI for more than a year.
2) Official MIUI V5 (Developer verison) is updated every Friday. Unofficial MIUI V5 might be delayed sometimes, which depends on the unofficial developers.
3) If there are both official and unofficial versions for a device, you can choose to download either version by yourself.

the problem is fixed in 3.7.5 build.
and after that i am not facing this problem.
try clearing data of media storage app in settings, app, all apps tab and then run media scan with tricster mod

For the password issue, you must enable the option "Power button instantly locks phone". :good:
About wi-fi i'm finding it strange here....i have no issues with wi-fi.

Downloaded the MiHome apk from below link

Copied it to /System/apps and then Installed it.
Then made this my default launcher from Settings --> Display --> Preferred Launcher
Then update the new launcher from GooglePlay to latest version.
This is somehow hiding the black lock screen and you can enjoy the beautiful MIUI Lock Screen

No it's doesn't trigger anything with MiHome .

it works on miui v4 and miui v5.
not on stock moto lockscreen.
must fix with the help of port based on cm10. on that build the music player works.

NOTE ON MIUI SECURITY (ROOT ACCESS)
MIUI uses it's own proprietary application for root management. The SU binary is included however the superuser-type app is built in and it is disabled by default. You can turn it on by opening the app called Permission Manager (or LBE Guard) => Manage Root Permission touch the little button in the top right corner and say Yes to the message about root access.

This is running OK. Just doesn't feel as smooth yet. But seems good for what it is now. Look forward to the continuing work.
Edit: seems to be a bit of a memory hog. Fresh install and I only have a but over 400mb free. Usually average about 600mb-650mb on cm10 variants.

This isn't CM10. MIUI tends to be a graphic hog. Give it a little bit. Reboot it once or twice. It's fast here but I didn't have any apps installed during my testing.

You do know why you get that black screen on bootup right?
Because many incorrect scripts are trying to run and causing many problems, half of them are not even working or wrongly implemented, it seems like you just found some init.d files and just added them to the rom without realizing you need to do more work in order to get them all working correctly. Im not trying to hate just giving you a tip.
The first miui the N7 got wasn't great, consider this a starting point

U need to install gapps. With the Rom u just installed the inverted ones. Phone apk is not inverted so u need to install IT seperatly, like in every other rom. Thats how easy IT is

Gapps. These are Thema Google apps "inverted", that means that they are blacked out. Hope u understand

But i have found some bugs :silly:
Like they all already reported, the phone/dialer.apk does not exist
When transparent jelly bean status bar is chosen the 'o' ring shaped blue thing at the bottom is not centred (just a minor bug :laugh
And also when i choose the s3 launcher / s3 theme, the screen off animation is not showing :crying:
Those are what i just found
overall the rom is great and also very smooth :good:

EDIT: Games like temple run also do not lag anymore unlike the older versions, only some minor lags at times (kernel used is EXUV version )

superlite cm10, but soon will be superlite cm10.1 v2 which I will probably make/finish by the end of next week, mind you I don't mind tw based roms if its gutted,

i know ive asked you before, but i can't figure it out the download issue in the stock browser and i like the stock browser unfortunately...
i wouldn't ask for your help but i can't find any info and tried everything that i know.
maybe you can ask one of the dev that you know, i don't know what's missing from your slim rom that doesn't allow download in browser

I have the following questions:
1. What are the tweaks regarding "Holo Launcher heavy tweaked for smoothness"?
I installed another launcher, removed Holo and now reinstalled Holo from PlayStore.
2. AdBlocker: Which AdBlocker is included? How are the entries for the hosts file updated (assuming this adblock method)?
3. On another ROM for U8160 I could install "Android Wetter & Uhr-Widget", https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.devexpert.weather. With this ROM this is now shown as "Not compatible". Coud you please fix this? Maybe this is just some entry in buildprop (I'm a noob on this).
Please continue to make this ROM even more perfect, many thanks for your efforts for this and your other ROMs for U8160!!!

i dont think there will be. huawei u8160 is a really old phone and i reckon development for it is now dead. i dont know if a dev will start working on huawei u8160 dev again but ur best bet is to buy a new phone. I did just that and have a nice samsung galaxy S4 mini now
However if i get a pc or laptop i may do some huawei u8160 dev

it only works on Huawei devices with the msm7225 chipset (e.g. u8160 u8180 and a few others) im pretty sure huawei ascend devices are not msm7225

not right now.. i'm not that good and fast. And plus the other roms got many problems with that base. If it got new number that doesn't mean its better. The zip is uploading....
Can add aroma so we can choose what to install. For exemple i'm using Apex pro, So I don't have the need of nova.

Install APEX, deinstall/delete Nova with Uninstall Master or some other apps from Play Store... its easy.

That's fair enough! The 1 issues which i believe to have been fixed is the transition animation settings being changed from 0 to 1 upon opening stock camera. I'll be watching this thread.......

Unfortunately couldn't. I think its a firmware issue as I am currently using the MJ6 firmware and its working just fine.

Im not sure, but i think had similar problem when i was changing the SystemUI in my test flashings... or its kernel problem. I use FAUX, this baby kicking with that kernel

Rescan the networks.. i tweaked tiny the build.prop so the wifi not scan often

I like this concept. Please continue, and do consider looking into latest base. Some users have mentioned improved battery consumption..
To make this stand out from the crowd you could make it so that it bridges the gap between aosp and tw. Tw framework, but even more aosp apps and functions.. Sounds like most Sammy stuff is gone, so looks like you're on that path
I wanted to try this. did a clean flash and couldnt go past set up. keeps popping up some german lang.. "kamera......" think its fc...

Couldn't agree more. With AOSP apps included and minimal TW, with such a low file size this is an ideal option for a lot of users. I would too though love to see this concept of rom have the latest base incorporated. Not just to have the 'latest', but based on the several benefits it seems to offer.
Excellent work Dev. I am sticking with my current rom for now but your work is of high interest to me...

Im sry for this. I had to put some files into the "lib" so the Google Camera works also. I had that thing in the begining of my tests.. but after just gone.Try with faux kernel.. if that thing don't work that means we can say goodbye to G-camera (or samsung)

ty.. i'm just trying to combine the MJ7. I hope will work. Like i said .. im not that good and fast (im doing this on the hard way). But with my phone i dont got problems..honestly
