[DISCONTINUED] [THEME] HTC One SV Sense 4+ **PurpleParadise** - HTC One SV

Updated 17/07/2013
apk is the same but now I've had a go at modifying some system APK as well to change a few things.
Here's a list of what should be themed now
Keyboard
Music App & Widget
Music/Call lock screen widgets
Phonebook Images
System UI (including status bar & stock icons)
And everything else then when you apply the skin on top.
INSTALLATION
BACKUP!!
Flash via recovery, wipe cache and dalvik then reboot
Then install/apply the purpleparadise skin to finish it off
ISSUES
Let me know, your more than welcome to edit and fix what you want as you see fit!
If you find your phone crashing, either reflash your ROM or try the restore file, you'll still need to wipe your cache and dalvik it after though.
Have fun!
Skin - See attached
System Theme'd Files - https://www.dropbox.com/s/8vel8z3z1g6l9hy/PurpleMadness.zip
Restore Download - https://www.dropbox.com/s/ug8z08ev9do1w6t/Restore.zip
Just finished doing this for a friend....keeps him happy!
I call it purple paradise but it's essentially saints row inspired! Install as normal with APKs and set it via personalisation!
Oh yeah, I'm also a complete noob when it comes to themes! Only recently started tinkering so enjoy, hate or take an improve!
Thanks go out to 'Wraith' who created some awesome number graphics!!
**Sorry no screenshots, haven't got a OneSV**

Tested and it works. I attach some pics for you.

Some things aren't working the way I"d hoped....will be modifying the systemui and a few other things to make it better. This OneSV is a pain in the arse!
Got a modified keyboard and a few things to come
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

Updated again...
Refined the skin slightly, tidied up some images and added a few tweaks, app drawer icon should be sorted now as well.
See first post for updated skin apk

Is there anyway to open the apk and change the colors?
Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk 2

I use Virtuous 10 studio to decompile the apk then play around.
I had a go at changing a few details like that and attempting a transparent drop down status bar, everytime met with a disappearing status bar or resulting in the phone rebooting itself.
Your more than welcome to jump in and play around with the apk yourself, I haven't got the time at the moment to look into it
Besided the OneSV is a massive pain in the arse!!

Just mount the file with the onesv framework in virtuous.
There's tutorials everywhere on how to use it.
I've discontinued this anyway, there are a lot better themers out there, I don't own a One SV either and my mates traded up for a OneX.
If there is anything I'd recommend it's finding a ROM with a deodexed file system so you can use what I've got, It may work but also might break, that's the risk with everything though!

[MOD]*done* Add reboot, recovery, download mode to power off menu

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for what happens to your phone-use at your own risk. Always do a nandroid backup before using mods
This is a port of untermensch's vibrant mod found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532
*completed mod now available with aosp lockscreen included*
*note: these mods include framework-res.apk and need to be included in the base of a theme or rom/flashing over the top of one will overwrite previous theming done to framework-res with stock images and break some pre-existing mods*
Thanx and credit to him for getting me this far, I have made a few changes to his instructions to make it work on epic. The below mod only has the reboot option added. I have yet to try his latest instructions to add reboot recovery but it might work too. Just wanted to get this over to the Epic side for discussion and help if it isn't as easy to port the rest of it.
Add reboot option to power off menu http://www.mediafire.com/?hoetfjbq77hm77s flash in clockwork recovery (its only android policy.jar) and make sure your system is deodexed. We can add more things into it to get android policy jar mods to play together later.
Here's a .zip that has both the AOSP lockscreen mod and reboot button mod together: http://www.mediafire.com/?010dchn522nxge9
Complete mod port plus aosp lockscreen click here
Note: this .zip includes framework-res.apk,framework.jar and android.policy. jar. The recovery function gets you to stock recovery but you can still get into clockwork by flashing the update.zip you should have on your sdcard already. If any one knows how to get it to go straight to clockwork like rom manager does I would like to have it do that.
Complete mod port plus aosp lockscreen-no full battery popups click here
All three in one now, this is just like the one above but also has services.jar
Complete mod port only click here
Includes framework-res.apk,framework.jar and android.policy.jar
Complete mod port with no popups click here
Includes framework-res.apk,framework.jar,services.jar and android.policy. jar
Works Perfect.....Ty

Has this been tested?
just asking cause yesterday I flashed a normal app! flash 10.1 and my phone was stuck blackscreened lol and had to odin ect AND I am very happy with the phone now so I dont wan't to result to that again
I've been waiting for this to get ported - thank you!
It flashed with no problem, but it replaced my Vanilla lock screen with the TouchWiz one. If I flash the Vanilla lock screen back on, will the reboot option still be there?
Holdin down power+voldown+camera after touching reboot gets you into recovery. I know a software button is better but in the mean time.

The only way for certain is to re-theme this framwork-res with your images. You might try swapping just your drawable-hdpi folder into this one and if there is anything left out track it down and add it back. I am not sure where values folder goes when it re-compiled so you don't want to write over it as it will cause issues.
OP has a new .zip with all three mods in one now, let me know if there are any issues with it.

What xmls did you edit? What I was getting at is use this as a base and re-do the theme to it but if you accidentally over write the values folder it will not work properly. Since I don't know where valuse goes when its been compiled(it only shows when decompiled) you run the risk of breaking the mod. Its certainlgy worth a shot though.

[Theme]Star Wars for LibertyX 1.0

I got tired of there not being any good Star Wars themes for any of the Roms(except R2D2 D2's ports, which aren't really that good IMO). So I gave it a try. This is the first theme i have ever done. So please remember that if its not any good lol. Big props to Mikeyinid for his great theme bases i used to help my novice run at this much easier.
Install Instructions-
Reboot Clockwork Recovery
Mount System
Install zip from sd card
reboot and enjoy.
Also included in theme-
-Pandora Radio with transparent widget
-Black themed keyboard
-black themed market
-Star Wars Ringtones and Notification files(more than just R2 sounds)
-Located inside the Theme zip file is also a Star Wars boot animation and boot logo(they can also be found in system/media folder after installation)- both of which can be installed through Liberty Toolbox, follow their instructions.
-Also inside zip file are some Star Wars wallpapers.
Download Here-
http://www.mediafire.com/starwarslibertyx
Do not use unless comfortable using an SBF.(This is the CYA section of the post . )
I take no responsability for problems that may occur or damage done to phone with this theme. Use at your on risk.

For Droid X running Liberty 1.0. Did you come from another theme? If so install Liberty Rom without wiping data and cash. Then reinstall theme. Sometimes themes can leave things behind that don't play nice with other themes. Always good to start with the base rom then install theme of your choice. Hope this helps.

Good, glad you got it working.
The stuff you mentioned should be in the zip folder, or in the /system/media folder after install. You can use Root Explorer or another file manager to access the system folder. There is a chance i accidentally uploaded the Theme zip that i forgot to put those into, it can get kinda hard to keep it all strait when you are working on hundreds of images in the framework. If you can't find them let me know and i will download the file from media fire and install it myself to see what is wrong. Like i said in the original post, this is my first theme and attempt at moding the framework like this, so please bear with me and I will get it all worked out.
-----Edit-----
I just downloaded the file myself and the images are in the zip folder. You should be able to use Root Explorer to extract the files inside the zip. It will pull them to /sdcard/extracted. Then look in the /sdcard/extracted/system/media folder. If this isn't working for you, you could always copy the file to your PC and use a program like WinZip or camparable(thats what i did to check it for you) and then copy the files to your phone. Hope this helps.

i guess not i read a bunch about just getting the theme chooser.apk and uploading that and it is supposed to add an apk to the zip it gives u to download
1. Go to the Kitchen page
2. Browse through the available mods and choose what you want (don't forget to press Generate preview if there is such a button)
3. Go to the file upload section and upload the required files, or choose the ROM you use from the kitchen's list (most roms in the list are for HTC Desire)
Files you need to upload:
Froyo rom: framework-res.apk
Gingerbread rom: framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk
Gingerbread with sense rom: framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and com.htc.resources.apk
Cyanogenmod7 rom: Cyanbread.apk or Androidian.apk or any theme for ThemeChooser (rename as you like it to apear in theme menu)<----thats what im using
NOTE 1: if you’re uploading theme apk then do not upload any other files; you’re just wasting traffic, because the kitchen will ignore additional files
NOTE 2: Font packs and boot animation do not require files to be uploaded. If you choose only those mods then you get a download without a queue.
4. Go to the summary section. All chosen mods must have a green background. If there is a mod in red background it means you didn’t finish it.
Press Submit work to kitchen
5. Remember the UOT file name (your order number).
6. Go to the Pickup page and wait for your file to appear (it can take from 5min to 1hr or more)
7. Download UOT zip into SD card of your phone
8. Reboot into recovery
9. Wipe cache and dalvik-cache (just in case). Do not wipe data / factory reset.
10. Flash UOT zip
11. Reboot phone

Hey Kwes - I have not tried UOT with New Clip because you mentioned themes may break things. Does that also apply to UOT? I wanted to change the color of all the items on the status bar to the hex ICS color. Should that be OK if I do not change anything else?
Or is there a better way to do that?

As long as you use the systemui and framework-res from the rom it shouldn't break anything. But some sketchy edits I made in framework as work a rounds might not let you edit it with uot but you can always try. I'm gonna update soon if I can just get these lock screens right.

Thanks. I will give it a try tonight or tomorrow. I want to make a set of all gingerbread green status bar icons and a set of all ICS blue status bar icons. If it works I will send them to you and you could add them to New Clip (if you want to) as an option for people that want everything matching, but do not want a complete makeover theme.
I just think it looks nice when the battery, clock, signal, wifi, etc match in color. Fond of ICS blue right now. I think I know how to repack it so anyone can use it. I'll PM you later if I get it done.
Edit: Well...that was a disaster. I just changed the status bar icons and added a different battery. Result was a boot loop twice and then a black screen requiring a battery pull. Restored my back up and will give it another try. Maybe a bad file download?

An all new update is just around the corner. Kwes1020 has some magic he is holding back until its right. Old weapon 3.0 works fine with UOT. I am not a real theme guy. I answer easy questions for noobs and piggyback off the hard work of others, but always give credit and thanks to the real guys. If the update does not happen as expected, I will take another stab at it.
I love learning new things and android has become an addiction. If you want to try, read up on topic. Tons of good info out there. UOT is simple to use. The trick is making the zip you create compatable with every one else. There is a mini tutorial in the moonman thread.
My First Time
So I sat for over an hour making my first OUT kitchen Theme if that is what you call it, I am waiting for it to cook as you say.... hope all goes well when I flash it to my stock Gingerbread rom......

Gingerbread theme based on Xperia S and ICS

I've been theming my Xperia Play a bit lately. I was using the Xperia S theme (which I got from jjkkyu), but I noticed that, although I dislike ICS's abstract theme, some of it (the not so abstract bits) look better than Xperia S's theme. Namely the context menus/popups and the toast. So I began incorporating that into the theme. I've also made the folders of Xperia Home and the the menus (those that pop up upon pressing the menu key) look like that.
I never liked how Xperia S's dock looked, so I made a simpler (and IMO better) looking one myself. The launcher is also modified to not display theme choosing options, because Sony themes are pretty useless, especially on a not-Xperia-S phone, because they only seem to change the background. And it only has 3 screens/panes/whatevers. That's easy to change, though.
The menu icons of some Xperia S apps were designed for a white background, but I prefer a black background, so I fixed that everywhere I could notice it.
I've also made the battery icon display the battery percentage inside of it. The clockopia font is surprisingly easy to read, even in very low resolution.
I was also dissatisfied with the spinner, so I made another one and I think it's marvelous, even if I say so myself. It's two spinning gears for the big spinners and one gear for the little ones.
In case any of you are still using Gingerbread, I present to you Gingerbread Theme Based on Xperia S and ICS (it's a working title).
You don't actually have to read any of the above, it doesn't list all of the changes, anyway. It's just that the original post of some work would look very weird if it didn't say anything. I suggest you just look at the screenshots, which can be found in their entirety in a zip attachment.
Installation:
0. Before you do step 1, it would be wise to make sure a file manager is in your recently run apps
1. Uninstall Home.apk (sometimes this needs to be done, sometimes not)
2. Put the contents of framework.zip into /system
3. Set the permission of all the apks to 644 (rw-r--r--)
4. Move them into /system/framework
5. Put the contents of app.zip into /system
6. Set the permission of all the apks to 644 (rw-r--r--)
7. Move them into /system/app (move SystemUI.apk last)
8. Reboot
Note: The zips aren't flashable. They're just zips.
UPDATE: A flashable zip is now available here: http://www.mediafire.com/?ns4ka5244xb4bfo
Made by xda-developers user techdevilisnowmonster.
This theme is mostly just a modified Xperia S theme, so to get a full Xperia S theme, you should install jjkkyu's theme before installing this.

Frankly, I don't know. It's not very dangerous to try, though. The worst that can happen is probably a boot loop, which can be easily fixed by using flashtool, if you've got a locked bootloader. You only need to flash loader and system and you don't even lose any configuration, all that will be different is that the system apps will be restored.
I suggest you find out what people say for other mods where you have to replace framework-res.apk (if anything should cause trouble, it would probably be this file).
It looks pretty nice. Good work!
What I usually do to restore if anything goes bad is open the zip and replace apks inside with my current apks and rename it restore!

Probably not, as if it changes the framework it will most likely bootloop. You've probably tried it by now and already may have found that out though.

Black status bar for sense 4+

Ok, that was easy.
This worked for me. First im on JB_by_luxandroid_v2 (one s s3). I copied the systemUI.apk to my pc. Added .zip to the file and unzipped it. Searched for status_bar_background.9.png and used gimp to make these all black. Rezipped all the files to systemui.apk and copied back /system/apps using twrp file manager. Restart and all black status bar.

Flashable zip thanks to luxandroid (will also add black boot animation)
http://dl.xda-developers.com/attach.../1/7/0/0/7/5/4/Flashable_black_status_bar.zip
This worked for me. All the tutorials out there say you need to decompile, modify and compile the systemui.apk. I did not have to nor do I know why it worked the easy way. So this might not work for you and might frak up your install (do a backup before trying).
If anyone wants to make a flashable zip or make this compatible with other roms, be my guest. I dont have the knowlege to develop this any further

Hi, I'm using nova launcher with trickdroid 5 s3. HTC status bar annoys me. Would like to get it all black. Would appreciate any help with getting it. The option was before in the tweak packade but that isn't available anymore. Is there a zip to flash?
Thanks in advance.

I did not encounter any zip to flash, but you could try decompiling systemUI by yourself, which I was too lazy for, so I flashed Pacman ROM.
However, you can download ICS Status Bar or Jelly Bean Status Bar by Team Syndicate, they overlay the Sense one with a AOSP one.
Tried the overlay from play store already. Would work fine on ics. Problem with jelly bean is whn you pull down the notifications status bar goes away, but the overlay does not. So that cuts away half of the clock and settings button.
Dont want to have to go back to ics

Didn't know that as I never had Jelly Bean and Sense at the same time Just go ahead and get yourself a decent ROM, and you're fine!
Re: [Q] Black status bar for sense 4+
I would but didn't do my homework before buying and got an S3, options are limited.

Would love this; I hate the ugly gradient look. The guys over on ViperOneS 2 said they would include a mod in their ROM for a black status bar but never followed up............ *sigh*

Just plain flat black.... i love it... the closest ive gotten is setting status bar transparency on home all the way in Viper ROM, either one 1.2.1 or 2.0.0, and having a black bg... But only good on home...
EDIT: I would love to remove the beveled look of the status bar....

I managed to decompile the SystemUI.apk couldnot find the obvious status bar file to modify to black, I assume there are several. Someone know witch png files need to be modified to get an all black status bar?
I have done this a long time ago on HTC touch but it seemd easier back then
been googling for hours, but cannot find clear tutorials on how to edit status bar pngs
ok think I found it. should be status_bar_background.9.png
lets see if I can get this to work with my limited knowlege
I found another way. Probably you saw that you can apply some themes in the "customize" app from HTC. Well, the devs of Virtuous ROM made some more themes for that theme chooser, including a holo-like one with a black status bar!
Ok, that was easy.
