<----NEW VIDEO!....even though i made it a week ago...sry! haha
My S3 completely fried itself after plugging and un-plugging my otg adapter maybe alittle too fast and is in Texas being examined then replaced by Samsung (warranty work baby). In the mean time though i wanted to get a look at a new rom by my fav developer itsmikeramsay. Seeing as how i was without my phone, i decided to port it to the Nexus 7 and Its the best suited ROM for the Nexus 7 I have ever Used and I dont see any other rom that really has it together and organized so usefully as this one does.

was wondering the same....maybe he has an s3 and is downloading the rom linked in the original thread? Anyways cleaned it up alittle bit and everything is working better than ever so im uploading to a dev hosting service. I guess as the day goes on i will be able to tell if this is a rom that interests anyone at all. I can say my absolute fav rom for everyday use.....ya throw in your xposed app settings and tweak a couple apps like the browser and its finished haha

So its up...yall can feel free to tell me all that is wrong with it but i probally dont know how to fix it! haha im still learning but any re-finements or anything would be cool to post up! I have used it for a week with minimal issues, Initial setup of getting it lookin good and DPI and tablet mode all takes a few minutes to get lookin good but hey thats the fun in a new rom right?!?!

The link doesn't work...

I have been following this rom in at&t s3 thread, but waiting on the next update before I run it as my daily. I have tried both betas version and liked them. I am definitely interested in this.
Not to go of topic, but was your install of multi-ROM smooth?

I am not the op, but have been running Multirom since its introduction. It is very, very easy to install, and you will never want to be without it. Want to try a new rom? No need to format your daily driver. Install and test. If you dont like the new rom, just delete it and boot back to the dd. It is an amazing tool.
Back on topic: So, the ROM is looking really good. I like the font and the overall feel. It is a refreshing departure from the normal. Only one thing I have noticed so far on the "needs work" side, is the keyboard has an unusually long lag time till it pulls up. Other than that, this is looking excellent. Great job and thanks for your contribution!

Yeah with multirom u can't really mess it up.....its 3 files, actually 2 nowadays. Get ur twrp, reboot to download mode (boot loader) tpe in a few words like "fasboot flash recovery recovery.img" boom bam reboot into recovery then flash the special multirom update.zip amend ur done.....now pick where and what ROM you wanna install.
Best mod ever

Looks really nice. Like the font, but what do you use for navigation and what is that launcher?

I always use LMT launcher (pie) and the launcher is ADW ex and I also use swipe pad. The normal navbar can be enabled in settings/interface/navigation bar.
I think I'm a lil customizing dude cuz I love when ROMs take some tweakin.....its what makes it fun to me!
I got Xposed Framework, Xposed app settings, DPI set to 213 in the interface settings and dual panel mode enabled along with the key lime pie theme and most of the time another theme backing it up in another mess called Cydia Substrate And Winterboard. Oh and i forgot my icon theme set in the launcher and Xposed Icon Themer 1.5 with masks enabled so every icon throughout the entire rom matches.

Checking battery usage, cell standby is pulling 44% of the drainage. Being 5% more than screen, I got a little worried. I'm going to switch airplane mode on and turn on wifi only and see if that helps to improve the battery time. Anyone else experimented with this?

Wow I've forgot about my lil trick I did awhile back its a WiFi only zip.... Likje I said I been running this for over a week and is just my DD now but I think this might help with the battery drainage.

Good call on that zip. Cell standby usage has been eliminated. If I might recommend, you should add that to the op. Great work!

Found 1 missing feature. I could not figure out why the screen was consuming more battery than other roms. Finally, I found it. The rom does not contain the features for use with a smart case, which turns off the screen due to the magnets. While I assumed the screen was being turned off when I closed my case, it was not. This is not a big deal, just thought I would bring it to attention. Ill try adding the files manually and see how far I get.

Wow some pretty damn good info brotha....ya know ive been wanting to do the screen off magnet thing but i had no freakin clue it was possible! Heck our tablets dont even have HDMI and i just never come across a magnet sceen off (kinda like laptop screen) in person or really thought about it cuz i thought they were all Proximity sensors.
Will do for the zip i put up

Is there enough demand I have built illusion for 20+ devices..
I will compile if there is demand

This is an ongoing developer project to make way for a modification that will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the experience of your phone. I know you've seen tablet mode roms before, they change two lines in your build.prop file which you could easily edit yourself in seconds and maybe throw a keyboard in there to make it work better. It's a start, but this ain't enough. This thing has potential, but it is wasted the moment you try to stuff a full blown tablet into your poor phone. Yet we all know our high res phones can very well handle more than silly 1-column layouts. So the magic must be in between somewhere, a place that Google must have overlooked and left blank. Yes, this rom strives to drop your device into tablet mode, but it won't stop there, it will reshape and redefine ICS to make it all a useful addition and not just a cute novelty. we're calling it: Hybrid (or Phablet) Mode, best of both worlds.

Omg lol awesome.
This ROM is amazing - impressive UI.
My quick tinkering with the Paranoid system settings came up with this:
Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode both ticked.
Framework-res-DPI = custom 175. (Notification appropriate for our display.)
SystemUI DPI = Tablet. (Lock screen resize for our display.)
Again if we could please have an optional flashable for the 3.30 kernel (as it provides better battery then 3.36.)
This is a refreshing change from vanilla cm9.
2 Things I've noticed:
A) Gmail looks great, however trying to Open any email from the Inbox folder gives a 'Gmail has stopped' toast popup. Opening from All Mail folder works. Weird.
B) When phone is locked. If you press back or menu, the front face lights turn on but do not turn off.
We thank you XMC.

Great Rom. I don't have much time to mess with it. But I know all the DPI's needed to get pure phablet. I'll post when work let's out.

Awesome man, you've been all over these ROMs.
What's the reason for the A5 kernel, is something broken in A6? I'm assuming A5 means CM9 Alpha 5, or am I wrong?

I think you swapped your values for framework-res and systemUI. Also, the 175 DPI for system doesn't work if you use the onscreen nav buttons -145 works pretty well. Clock on lockscreen gets cut off in landscape mode when using "tablet" DPI. 150 looks pretty good for the framework setting here.
As an FYI - I was able to boot it using the CM9 A5 kernel because as I was using that already and I'm not S-off, but wifi was borked. Once I flashed in the kernel from this build wifi was working, but I'll have to get back to you as far as battery goes. I got a lot of problems with battery levels on the a5 kernel, especially when rebooting my battery level seemed to be random.
I didn't wipe when I flashed and came from CM9 a5. I noticed a couple of my apps were missing, and when I tried to install from market, I got an error stating "missing shared library". Is this because I didn't wipe? Can anyone confirm if you are able to install Bank of America from market?
The thing I've noticed most about this ROM aside from the awesome UI is BLAZING speed. Market and browser come up and load pages instantly - probably twice if not triple the speed of CM9 A5

Yeah I did mix those up, accident
I don't use the onscreen nav buttons option.
Funny though, cos further testing got me to 145dpi for system also, great minds think alike.
Bug:
I found that an input field does not appear/allow setting individual applications 'custom dpi'.
Other than this I didn't find much wrong with this excellent rom!!!

It looks like the gapps is missing something in this ROM - I looked up the error and saw that people had this problem on other ROMs from time to time. I flashed the latest gapps from CM and found that not only was it resolved, but the apps were already there and didn't need to be reinstalled.
Here are my current settings for the look, feel, and behavior that I like best. I am kanging XMC's "hints" section
- Download and flash latest gapps if you run into library errors on any of your apps
- Set the font size to "Normal"
- Go into the Apex settings > dock settings, hold your phone in landscape, change the button quantity to 5, then back to 3. (Buttons shouldn't be crammed together anymore).
- Check "Auto Hide" in Settings, System, Statusbar, to finally get Fullscreen (or Hold power button, and press "Toggle StatusBar"). You can turn auto-hide off afterward, if you want status bar to be always visible.
- Launcher Settings: margins: NONE (If youre using Apex / Nova), show permanent searchbar: YES, Grid: 4x4, resize all widgets: YES, Wallpaper scrolling: On or off, your pref
- Paranoid settings:
- Tablet Mode and Hybrid Mode checked
- System default DPI: tablet
- User Default DPI: phone
- User Default UI: phone
- Framework-res DPI: Custom 150
- SystemUI DPI: Custom 145

I just could not get Apex launcher(and a bunch of user apps that don't seem to be optimized for tablet) to look good with the User UI set to tablet, and I'm never satisfied with the look of anything other than 4 x 4 as the icons and widgets go all wonky. As far as apps other than the launcher, It seems like it might be better to use the tablet UI for user apps to go through and see which ones look good and which don't at first, then set them up individually.
Edit: XMC, I'm convinced that you are either a robot, or you have multiple clones of yourself that all work on various dev projects. This ROM is absolutely the best thing I've seen for our device yet.
When I have everything set to tablet DPI values i cannot make phone calls it says force closed ... any suggestions?
LOVE THE ROM

PARANOIDANDROID v3.56 bravoAOSPA
Android 4.2.2
Based on the Evervolv and the CyanogenMod bsp with some enhancements
Very close to AOSP with some enhancements here and there
feeling
Blazing fast and super clean, I started right off the AOSPA source and added as few patches as possible
Full a2sd & (external) gapps integration:
Install as many apps as you want, you won't run out of space after ~3 bigger apps
Full external gapps, enjoy the whole NeXus⁴ Google Apps package without running out of /system space (After ROM + GAPPS: ~ 30mb left for your most important apps
HALO notifications*
Hybrid engine:
Per app Layout, this will let you choose the UI of any app, that means you can switch apps into their tablet layouts
Per app Size, scale apps individually, this is especially important if you use tablet apps, go as small or big as you like
Per app Color, this lets you select statusbar and navbar colors for apps individually, colors will shift when you jump from one app to another
Hybrid engine makes it possible to use any tablet ready app available on your phone, start with your regular Google apps and see what treasures lie hidden in them and just how well they work on your device.
You can use hybrid engine to use all available general interface UI's aswell: Phone, Phablet, Tablet. This is safe as milk, we don't change DPI, we don't trash your market, we don't shrink all your apps or force them into layouts, you don't needto edit system files for that.

Just tested it, YouTube is fine, HQ aswell.
HW playback works
Camera works (even though it's tearing apart, can be fixed by opening recents and tap on Camera again)
Video capturing works
Is this rom based on the last Evervolv release or what? Are there any other bugs?
ok ...
I will test now

videos I tested didn't playback with hw acceleration (MX Player uses S/W decoder) but I think it is because of wrong filetype/encoding
List of good things:
Paranoid (but pie stopped working atm, I'll try a reboot, hope it comes back )
Youtube videos without flickering
pretty smooth (I would compare it with VJ CM10.1 V4.6), edit: maybe a little bit slower, edit2: no it's pretty much the same
amount of settings
camera without flickering
multiple user (I don't use it but it's a nice feature which is not available in vj's rom I think)
Things I don't like:
the statusbar symbols: wifi and battery looks different, network signal is stock icon (I would prefer every icon stock OR every icon changed)
pie stopped working and I don't know why (maybe someone knows why???)
EDIT:
Somehow pie is now at the right side of the screen whyever, can somebody tell how to change it?
A good hint given in vj's thread:
In developer settings set the animation time to 0.5x, the rom feels faster

AW: [FEB 03][4.2.1] PARANOIDANDROID v2.99 betaNINE+ | PIE | TabUI | QUICKTOGGLES
No reboot in the 1 hour I'm running the Rom.
OK the pie location can be set manually in settings.
What i'm missing is a performance setting, it's not needed but it would be nice
Oh and long press home button doesn't show up recent apps...
Edit: sorry for editing again but I have to say that this rom is just blazing fast!

Look smooth and stable. For now only one "bug" : choppy video REC. But this is a known bug.

videos I tested didn't playback with hw acceleration (MX Player uses S/W decoder) but I think it is because of wrong filetype/encoding

I think the network signal icon was modified aswell, maybe I can surprise you some time, but don't quote me on that
Something about PIE: You can change the position by dragging it and dropping it on the right/left/top, that was made for games where you could quickly change the position if it was interfering with the gestures of an app/game 4 example.

Haven't had one for one week now (Only weak points I know: The quick-actions of notificatios and the emulation of a second display)

Forgot to mention it in the not working list as it's a common issue among all PA ROMs atm.
Performance settings only via external app atm, it's part of the close to AOSP idea, I think it's a good solution, if you want to play arount with you cpu freq, do it with an external app, but I don't want to provide too many options for you to f*** up the ROM.

If you mean the calendar app not pulling info from the Google account. I downloaded Google calendar from the play store signed in. that then pulled all the stuff in to it and then uninstalled the one I'd downloaded

This ROM is based on the Android Open Kang Project (AOKP). The idea to start a ROM based off AOKP with added features for us was started out of curiosity and boredom. We started compiling ROMs for personal use and later started sharing them. After sharing it with a few people, we decided to take it a step further and fine tune the way we do things. Since then, is been nothing but fun and a true learning experience for all of us involved. We've received high praise from not only users but fellow developers of other ROMs that enjoy seeing things done the right way. Our 4.2.2 version made it onto various devices to include the HTC One, Galaxy Nexus, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO LTE, Nexus 4 and some other devices. We hope to do the same with our 4.3 version.
"Give credit and thanks where is due!" That's something that has fuel the way we do things! With that said, we would like to go ahead and credit those individuals and groups that have made this ROM possible with their original code and contributions to the Android community.....

NOTES:
Kernel Tweaker!
This is a fairly full featured app in Settings. Fully configure all aspects of the kernel
(except for UV for some known reason). Worth doing this. Set what you know, then set but leave default settings on what you don't know about. Doing so will allow the highest cpu GHz, the lowest battery = best performance and very stable.
KT is also a great ROM/update/gapps flasher. Right from the rom.
Regarding wakelocks and the ability to control them now.
I recommend you look into these and which ones you can disable.
If you do put in the time to search and ask some questions here, your battery will love you!
Heres a head start ===> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1827676
What's Next.....?
Camera is still a challenge. I put in "A Better Camera App"
and a PlatStore version of the ICS Cam. Bothe of these will give you
HD 1080 res for both Cam and Camcorder.
NOTE!! While the ICS Cam is perfect given our vendor blobs,
it comes with ads!!! Please, enable the ad blocker in
"settings/DirtyTweaks/Misc. Tweaks"
Use it first or make it your default for seamless rom integration
Also. Because of the huge amount of feature here, you will not get a silky smooth
experience until you set all of the kernel, init.d tweaks and animation. My advice
is to 1) head to SU first and set it to what you want. 2) ad blocker as described above.
3) USE THE KERNEL TWEAKER in settings! It is no more or less then EXACTLY
what you need for this rom/kernel. Built by and for this rom. Using all default settings
is just fine but check ALL of the check boxes in there. It is built in so nothing will work better
BUT while it takes advantage of all the features in the kernel, it UNSETS the built in defaults
of the kernel on boot so it can work. (some settings may appear or disappear depending on what you select. ex. Performence- nothing there. BadAss- This sexy Gov., is tweakable and has settings.
- Gestures!
- Device specific features - AKA Advanced settings (sensors, touch sense etc...)
- LCD Density to ROMControl
',
'-> workaround:
For the dpi, assuming you have signed into playstore already,
is to go settings/apps and wipe data for playstore. In root explorer
go system/build.prop, open to edit with read/write and scroll down to
density and change the 200 to what you want. 240 is stock.
Save it and reboot, sign back into playstore.
Alternatively, ROMToolbox has a build.prop mod function.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox
-Lock Screen cLock/weather
To allow the time/date/weather/calendar...etc to show up customized,
set up cLock as usual in ROMControl and push power to turn off display.
Push again and swipe down the clock borders below the clock digits to
extend the lock screen carousel. Swipe to the right and tap the plus
sign to add a new widget. Add cLock. Swipe to the left and long press
the original clock then drag to the top and delete.
The new customized cLock should settle into place.
Thanks for bringing another Rom to this great phone!

Zoe, I think that is an HTC specific app for their cam. I haven't heard of it for the SR but I can see about it for you.
Haven't had any issues since running this. Also, screenshots work fine for me.

I have to thank @ktempleton for bringing me in on this rom. This wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for him so peeps should pass some his way too.
This ROM will be everybody's DD. Damn, like KT says, 'It will take people 2 weeks just to learn the rom". Meaning, there is just so much functionality!
For those that know me from BeanStalk, know that I, at the very least, try hard to keep up with users, questions, features, kernels, source updates etc...
This ROM comes tight. You won't see a ton of updates. (ie: every other day) Updates will come with version updates only. (Unless something crazy happens)
I will keep the same tone in here tho. That's another thing people from BeanStalk will know about. NO CRAP! lol I understand what it was like to be new and how intimidating this all can be.
Searching first is ALWAYS advised just so nobody looks foolish but if you need to know something ROM specific, just ask. Everybody will be respectful in here and help out if I don't see it right away.
I always say. There is no need for anybody to be in trouble. I'm available.

I've been using Bean for a long time and I've gotta say it's one of the most respectful threads I've ever seen on XDA. I will also say it's been a long time since I've been hoping for an MD5 match. lol I've been looking at this on other devices for a while and am glad you compiled it for the Rocket. I would thank you but I just burned my 8 for the day thanking you in the Bean thread. Solid work man solid.
Woah! Feature packed holy....quick question about "active notification" is it just dynamic notifications from play store or what did you do? That app is giving me some issues so if it's baked in real well like on the actual moto x, that'd be AWESOME. Thanks again

Bug Reports:
Reporting bugs is important But reporting them properly is KEY.
If you think youve came across something that is not working as desired [bug] folow these steps to report.
1. RE-flash your rom cleanly and do not install gapps or restore anything. This will confirm the bug is in the rom and not a compatibility issue with your data or chosen gapps.
2. A logcat is very important for me to trouble shoot the bug ..
3 pull a logcat by connecting your device to the computer and open terminal then type adb logcat hit enter.
4 navigate to your bug and recreate it while connected and watch for a fatal exception.
5 copy the text apd use paste bin to share it with me.. after youve saved it copy the link and post it in the thread. Please ensure youve captured the fatal exception in the paste otherwise it will do no good.

I'm looking forward to it.
Droyd, I have a huge request if it is possible. For the future builds please include THIS patch also. Currently there is only one ROM that includes it and that's BeanStalk (I've asked phoenixita to include it when he builds it). Without it, my car-kit is useless.
ROM is working smooth and fine. Even if you say it has only "basic" things, it has alot already. The bugs I've found are the general KitKat bugs affecting almost all ROMs. First the nasty backlight issue during calls. Then I found that in Settings - Volume even if you tick to have separate ringing/notification volumes this is not preserved after you go away from that screen. You just have to tick/un-tick the option again when you're back there. But as I said, they're present in the other KitKat ROMs also

By the way when you switch the sounds to link or unlink you are selecting OK at the bottom right? I ask cause I'm not getting that issue at all.. I select OK and it sticks.
What is the backlight issue..?

I've pressed OK I do like this: go into the menu, by default there is only one slider for ringtone&notifications. Below is the checkbox. I un-tick it to have separate sliders and there is appearing the slider for notifications. I'm adjusting a lower volume for them, then press OK. If I go again into that menu, what is strange is that the checkbox remains un checked but the second slider for notifications is gone (not shown). The only one remaining is labeled only "ringtone" this time but I have to tick/un-tick again the option to make the second slider appear. On the other hand, on the expandable volume panel (brought up by vol buttons), there are 2 different sliders. It's only a visual issue, in fact the volumes remain as they were set...just the notification slider seems to vanish
The backlight issue...is the most anoying bug present for now in ALL KitKat ROMs. I'll explain. Make a phone call (to a toll free number for ex) then take the phone away from your ear. The screen is lit right? OK, now cover the proximity sensor with the hand or finger, screen will go blank. Normal behavior...BUT... Sometimes the screen comes up after you take the hand of the sensor but remain very very dark (suggest you make the test in a dark room to notice). As the screen comes up but not the backlight of it. Make several tries with the hand covering the sensor, keep it covered several seconds...finally you'll see it.
One more thing...the bug is not happening if the phone is charging (connected via USB or power socket). It's happening only when is not connected to PC. I hope I've explained well
Hmm OK I'll check into it a little.

Lol OK yeah that's a cm bug but since all ville ROMs are based on cm its present in them as well.. I believe its a kernel issue since I don't have it on the mako.. Another one I'll have to dig for..

To God be the glory, my AOKP Nougat project finally works!
This is not a dirty unicorn. This is the original unicorn, the AOKP. Now made out of nougat! With tons of settings from status bar tweaks to home button remaps, it's all here and ready to rumble! Hopefully more features will be added as the AOKP team integrates the changes to the source.
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****

Rom Download link:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/zu8y9slczytr3/Nougat
Gapps link:

-Which I personally tested Pico. Be sure to choose "Arm" and "7.1".
This Rom has been stable for me, but is new, so be prepared for some little hic-ups here and there. Be sure to follow these installation steps very carefully, as they may be different then what you are used to.
!!!FIRST BOOT TAKES ABOUT 5 EARTH MINUTES TO COMPLETE!!!
Installation instructions:
-Follow this guide to get your phone onto the Developer aboot:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ve.../testers-required-easier-root-method-t3561529
-Download ROM and gapps, and put them on your phone or external storage.
-Reboot into recovery mode - TWRP
-Backup what you had. (Just to be safe.)
-Wipe. (I personally wipe everything prior to flashing new roms, but at least do the basic wipe.)
-Install Rom.
-Install Gapps. - Optional
-Reboot to system and enjoy!
-OPTIONAL - After first boot, then go back to recovery and install the AKLU kernel.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-galaxy-s5/development/kernel-nougat-kernels-t3608886
I do not recommend installing superSU or Magisk on this ROM! SU permission is already built in, and superSU and Magisk have been causing problems with the rom. Please read the thread for further details.
Code:
What works:
So far everything that I have tried works, such as
- Camera for pictures and video!
- Phone calls/receiving
- Data 2g/3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- PTP/MTP
- GPS
- Multi-Window, just long press the "recents" button.
etc....
What doesn't:
- The capacitive button back lighting does not work correctly. The buttons still work, just not the lighting.
- Automatic time zones cause problems, set time zone manually in date/time.
- Choosing to reboot the phone sometimes takes a loooong time. It may be better to Power off and then start the phone, which is faster for some reason.
- Let me know in the forums if you find other issues so I can work on fixing them.
This AOKP N ROM was built for the Verizon Galaxy S5 using modified LineageOS trees. I have not tried this on any other device, but you are welcome to try it AT YOUR OWN RISK. Chime in if it worked on your device.
A huge thanks to the Android Open Kang Project team!
Disclaimer: AOKP is not responsible for any damages to your device.
All of my work is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make AOKP, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.

Thanks:
A huge thanks goes out to @haggertk for his great work on the KLTE!
Notes:
Just a spot for some field notes about the ROM.
Background:
The awesome background was provided by The Quiet Learner, you can see more of his work here:
https://qlfiles.net/
You can also change the background using SWAGGER, to choose from several amazing AOKP backgrounds. Just long press the background as usual, and choose SWAGGER.
Multi-Window:
Open the app you want on top, then long press the recent button, then select the app you want on the bottom. Slide the slider up or down to choose full screen for the top or bottom app. Note: if in multi-window mode, pressing home goes to the home screen, but opening an app causes multi-window mode again with the last app you had open and the new app you chose.
OmniSwitcher:
You must enable OmniSwitcher to use it. There are choices for horizontal or vertical layouts, as well as the "handle" size and color. You can also enable the "menu" button, which may come in handy due to the long press of the recent button being used for multi-window.
@AlaskaLinuxUser AKLU kernel? i like testing kernels , can you tell me a little more details about that kernel , or is it the aokp-stock kernel? if not what features are included in it?.... great rom tho.
also is it possible for you to include a updated modem and firmware files in this rom (latest modems/firmware filles) i think the qd1 is the latest.

KazuDante,
The ROM comes with the stock kernel, but you can download the AKLU kernel from the kernel thread. I only just started on the kernel, so at present the AKLU kernel just includes the extra governors: Lionheart, smartmax, and Wheatley. I plan to do more updates next week, see the kernel thread for details.
As for the modem, this ROM does not include modem files. Whichever modem and baseband you have loaded is what you will have, I just happen to have QB2 on my phone, works great for me on straight talk. But if you are coming from QD1 then that is what you will have.
Hope that helps! And thanks for giving the ROM a try!

Hi, Great ROM thank you.
However the moment I install Google Play Services Framework, I lose the ability to use cellular data. APN settings are there, the LTE network is there in the quick menu, but not in the status bar. Wifi works fine.
I have installed each separately of GPStore, GPlogin, GPServices, and GPSFramework, and have narrowed it down to a GPSF issue. It doesn't matter if I install from Open GApps or individually using apk's from apkmirror.
I have tried putting exceptions in the data saver app even though I never turn it on, but no luck. It happens with all Nougat AOSP based ROMs, like lineage and CM as well.
Please help if you can, I really like this ROM.

Hmmmm.....
I am not sure that I understand the problem. I have open gapps installed with the Google play framework app installed, and am able to use cellular data.
Edit: here I am watching rocky and Bullwinkle with cell data while looking through the system apps, shown is google services framework.

off-subject forgot to say you have to divide the screen rgb values by 128 so that the custom profiles of kernel auditor can be applied. those max values should be around the 255 if divided by 128.

At first I was confused, but then I looked at KA, and you are correct! That's somewhat comical. However, your powers of observation are not only astute, but your persistence in determining the multiplicity of the matter is remarkable.

Thank you. I try to help in any way that I can , since a lot of users might use the kernel-auditor-MOD app ( which has a custom profile that punches up the colors and blacks(oled+black= more battery life, even tho its really small but better some then none right) ) , they might of pointed out that the profiles don't work and i got around testing your kernel today ( free time) and was looking at all aspects of it. Personally I'm waiting on the update that would include voltage control , and if possible even on the gpu itself. and since you are the first to included a different frequency for the CPU without increasing the voltage ( bravo ) I'm assuming that you might have plans to included more cpu and gpu frequencies compared to the 300-422-652-729-883-960-1036-1190-1267-1497-1574-1728-1958-2265-2457-2534-2611-2764-2841 frequencies that most if not all S5 users are customed to for a while. Adding in-between frequencies would be a great upgrade for the S5 but for the GPU I'm not so sure since even changing the gov of the GPU would crash/freeze the system.
So I am very excited to see what twists your kernel will bring.

Thanks for the reply. It's not ROM specific so not really your problem, just figured I'd see if you knew anything. If I freeze GPServices and GPSFramework, LTE pops right back up.
I have same problem in LineageOS 14.1 so there must be some kind of conflict with GPlay and nougat based AOSP ROMS on my phone. I'm on the PB1 bootloader if that means anything (found this ROM from your post on that thread). Only other possible difference from you is I'm on AT&T Mexico.
It's so weird because LTE symbol is shown next to the signal strength triangle icon in Quick settings but not in status bar, so it's like the phone is receiving the signal but refuses to use it.
Haha, nice the R&BW. :good:

Yes, it does.
Hello from a fellow Alaskan Jesus lover who uses a unlocked SM900V as my daily driver. Currently using Resurrection Remix 7.1.2_r8 because of its tweakability and being able to use 3Minit Battery Mod.
Praise God! Another update!
There is a new download in the OP! Just a sync with AOKP for security patches through June! There is also a new web browser that you can try!
Just an FYI, I have changed the download link to a folder containing the rom(s), its just a little easier, so after an upload I do not have to update the links, as the folder will not change, just the rom in it.
Enjoy and Happy Independence Day and weekend to my fellow Americans!

Awsome!! ive been waiting patiently to hear from you. Thank you so much
I forgot to mention that I also changed the boot animation to the old "lightning" AOKP boot animation.
If you want the new "pony-gear" animation, you can grab it here in the "Official AOKP" folder:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/o172vzm25q6n3/bootanimations
Or you can poke around the other animations and use any of those if you like them. Checkmate was one of my favorites, although I made these a while back for older phones, so they may be a little "fast" and/or "small" on your phone now.
Thanks for porting this to the Verizon version.
I have found one bug that I didn't see others mention. My Recent and Back buttons are not illuminated.

Actually, that is in the op under what doesn't work. Its a problem with all of my AOKP ROMs. It has to do with the aokp backlight controls.
