[Q] Micromax Canvas HD or Nokia Lumia 620

Can someone suggest me which mobile would be a better buy.. Both costs the same..
Nokia Lumia 620 or Micromax Canvas HD.

I would definitely go for canvas hd Becoz of its camera, hd screen and it is hackable for custom roms and do you know that Window phone is more prone to virus and other type of hacks. I had a great experience with micromax as I personally have micromax a60. Micromax is a good company. I would say that you should go for micromax

Thanks Karan... How is the built quality of the Canvas HD?

I have not seen built quality of it but I have seen for canvas normal one a110 and it's pretty nice something you would compare with galaxy s2

Nice Music Players for our canvas a110

Hi friends here you can see some of the good music players which runs nicely in our canvas.
Friends I am not a software or a computer professional.
I am a musician in profession but learning gradually by reading XDA forums so the encouragement can be just given by hitting thanks meter. The presently uploaded all apk files are latest updated till today that is 21.4.13
Of course I know that everything can be browsed through play store why the thread is needed?
But I specifically created this thread only for compressing your confusion to choose from play store where almost all music apps are given almost 5 stars.
I think you friends got my idea of creating this thread.

S4 music player is light and good. Try Lenovo which has ported recently for canvas. It sounds good.

Is it a zip file?
If it is first extract the zip u will get an apk file just copy to your SD card and just click and do a normal installation process that's it. Cent percent its working friend.

Your Rite by the way i had used Real Player which can play videos and even music
It provide its own Lockscreen.:highfive:

If you like I can suggest you to go for rocket player. A big in size but a themed nice player.

Cellkon has released two mobile models named A112 and A107 plus both are running mt6577(not sure) but the specs are same as our beloved canvas 2 and the good thing about this is that they are releasing with android 4.2.2,so if some one provide a system dump or stock rom for both of these mobiles there is a possibility of 4.2 for our device...but since the devices are very new it masy take time..to make you guyz aware that already 2 or 3 models of cellkon have threads in xda for upgrading,rooting and stock rom,so i think the stock rom will be available soon.
specs :
1 ghz and 1.2 ghz(may be an overclocked mt6577) dual core processor
512 mb ram 4gb internal(same as our device)
8mp primary 1.3mp sec(same)
5 inches 480*854(same)
Note : i searched a lot about the chipset of the devices since devices are very new no sufficient amount of info...
Also micromax has mentioned about four devices which includes canvas 2 for their rejection of android upgrade...im happy that they mentioned our device( They did not forget like most of their devices ) they have stated that "AS FAR AS NOW" there will be no update is that means in future ??? as cellkon started its 512 mb ram phones with dual core to get 4.2 and also i hope many mobile in future with mt6577 will have 4.2 even micromax might release one.considering all these i think micromax will consider for the update soon,and with also many devs are working hard to port 4.2 for our device we may have it unofficially before all these,so lets keep supporting them.

It's not mediatek mt6577 because those phones doesn't have GPS and proximity sensors which is present in mediatek mt6577 by default..

I think till kernel sources are not available, porting 4.2.2 is hard but not impossible. Swapping ramdisk and zImage from other kernels (from phones having same specs) can make it possible but not for a sure.

haist it so hard since wifi and blutut not fucntioning and im experience freezing then several reboots

I request mods to Lock this thread as it consist only spams @justmpm

Its not bro porting is different from theming for ex it has swipe to call n msg in contacts and the inbuilt framework based s4 lockscreen while we din hav those on any rom it has lot of great features like that so i req some dev to try to port the complete rom please.

I have tried and success for some feature but not success for porting lock screen because changing in framework get boot loop
I have success for dialer but force close due to resolution not supported so anyone can modded dialer for supporting resolutions
And I have publish soon v3 with most of Samsung apps

Brother its not possible as far as now since even not even a single mtk device s not having a working build of omni the Deva of omni ROM trying to do that and they are facing lot of issues even if its released to the oppor819 which is a mtk6589 device I'm sure it will be not easy to port to our device as ours is a mt6577 and also most probably it won't work with the stock kernel we havr ,if ported I'm sure even if you dont request they will try first.
