[CWM]ClockworkMod Recovery V6.0.3.5 For GT-S7500 - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hi guys,
I managed to port latest CWM v6.0.3.3 & v6.0.3.5 for our device. :victory:
It took me some time to find out how to fix boot loop issues which occurs when we use online CWM Builder. (Thanks to mb-14)
The only new feature I noticed, was "INSTALL ZIP FROM SIDELOAD" which allows us to install ZIPs using ADB commands.
There's no bootloop issues or such, still you should TRY IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
I also changed the background colour to black for CWM 5 clean look's lovers.
I don't recommend touch version because the font it's too big and I can't change. better use the regular one.
Touch means Touch support.
BlackBG/Dark means Black Background.
No root users, download *.tar.md5 file only.
Root users, download any file *.zip or *.tar.md5
Hope you like it.
And ignore that error "Warning: no file_context found ...."
GT-S7500L / GT-S7500T users, don't flash it.
I might be able to help you porting it to your variants.

No, I flashed both of them using TWRP without any problems 3 hours ago.
Do you get an error message? And what does it say?

It said that it failed, tried with sig verifacation and without. only the one with the black backround i tried... In the end i did it from terminal.
Just from curiosity it's possible to make it look like s3?

CWM touch is proprietary

Yes, it's possible, but touch function won't work unless you have ICS or JB kernel. I will give it a try.
Sent from my GT-S7500 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

no, read my above post. And if I may ask, what makes a kernel "ICS or JB kernel"?

thanks for new recovery
flashing right now!!!
---------- Post added at 10:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:27 PM ----------
flashed it
home button is working as scrolling as we scroll with volume keys and menu key in working as scroll down action
i think home button should be used to enter in particular option
i have to use power button to enter or exit

Check this: http://builder.clockworkmod.com
It's written there that touch recovery will only work on ICS and later kernels.
I already tried to port touch recovery but it looked so much ugly on ace plus, it was like changing LCD density from 160 to 240 !
As I'm not a developer I couldn't fix it, but it works anyway.
Sent from my GT-S7500 using Tapatalk 4 Beta

it's closed source, so we can't fix it for our screens :/

Thread updated with drop box link contains 8 attachments:
4 *.zip and 4 *.tar.md5 (specially for no root users)
Touch version uploaded. (I don't recommend it because the font is too big and I can't change it)
Screenshots uploaded now.

Thanks so much !

Bassel Bakr thanks so much , I was looking for a CWM 6.0.3.5 Recovery , because TheWhisp told in his thread (on mini 2 CWM 6.0.3.5 recovery) that this recovery is able to backup Faster compared to other CWM Recoveries . Thanks so much  .Enjoying it really much :good:
Firstly installed that touch recovery BlackBG , but it looked weird , then I installed the CWM 6.3.3 without touch , through Terminal Emulator .

installed fine but when try to install cm10.1 it gives error!!!

I thought that if I uploaded touch version, someone could make it works as it should be. (still waiting)
By the way, did you try to flash any of the ZIPs and got an error that made use terminal method?

This error is because of the updater-script not the recovery itself, other recoveries ignore asserts checks (I guess).

can you post some images of touch version? If it's really resolution problem maybe we can contact Koush about it.

Since, no one had ported so I though of porting it .
Procedure:
-- Copy the downloaded recovery.img to your
ADB folder
-- Turn off your phone
-- Boot into fastboot mode by pressing power
button and volume down keys together for
sometime.
-- After sometime when it gets stuck at the logo,
connect your phone to PC using USB cable
-- If you are in WinXP, open command prompt
and browse to your ADB folder using cd
commands.
If you are in Windows7, right click in the ADB
folder and click to open command prompt there.
-- Type this in the command prompt :
Code:
fastboot devices
This should display your device name in fastboot
mode, if nothing is shown, then you have to
check previous steps again.
-- Type this command to flash CWM recovery to
your phone
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
It will show the progress and completion dialogue
within seconds when it finishes successfully. Now
you can try if CWM is working.
-- Remove battery of your phone and reinsert.
-- Press Power and Volume Up key to boot into
recovery mode.
-- You should see CWM now, otherwise try
flashing again
Thats it!! Congrats

DayanGts7500, please pardon my naively daft question, but with reference to ADB, you mean the Android SDK, which is found at, http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html, right?
Should I download the ADT Bundle, or SDK Tools Only, for my respective platform?
I await your response, and I thank you for your patience.

Let us know if it worked for you from TWRP... I flashed from CWM 6.0.4.4.
Can somebody confirm if restore works fine?
Earlier version was fiving fc after the restore. And you will have to factory reset it.
It works just fine...

I'm not getting an md5/tar file, I'm getting a recovery.img file? What do i do?
When I Try Flashing Rom, It's Say Aborted Error 7. When Im Flashing Roms. Like Wanam,Legend.
Then Im Flashing Cm11 It Works. I had to Downgrade My Recovery To 6.0.4.5 To Flash My Rom Back.

I think that's probably a ClockWorkMod thing. Or the specific ROM. Have no problems at all with ROMS. Especially Wanam.

fix resolution of CWM. Backup/restore also working fine. I've tested.
Some of the things I noticed:
1. Home button is functioning the same as volume buttons. I think it should function like the power button to select items.
2. White screen when entering recovery.
3. At the bottom it says warning about context files?
4. When rebooting it says root possibly lost. I think it should be rebooted once reboot system is selected.
Maybe it's just me because I got used to CWM in Galaxy Y. Anyway, huge thanks to you. I hope to see more for this device like custom ROMs, kernels, etc. Goodluck.

It's GT-S5360 so I think it's gen 1. It is now sold and I bought a Galaxy V. The CWM in Galaxy Y is almost the same as Galaxy Pocket. I hope there are other devs who also have this device.
This actually works! Too bad it can't be used with Internal Storage...
But using wih sdcard and CWM magically works like charm.. Can mount everything.. Great job dev!

Ahhh ok , cuz i read ur comment just now so , im sorry
I have been doing some research about important backup of samsung files so I found that backup of EFS is very important because it's folder contains
Phone-specific information such as the IMEI, wireless devices MAC addresses, product code, and much more. If this thing not handled properly, can turn your device completely useless as it will no longer be recognized by your carrier.
Problem is, flashing custom ROMs sometime can corrupt contains within EFS folder. That’s why backing up EFS folder is very important if you love to flash new ROM.

So I will include that as backup option.
Also same thing with modem looking at twrp github for samsung devices so I will add that to. And my opinion maybe not wise but I think that recovery also need to be included in backup.
That's my 5 cents
Anyone to back me up or to add 5 cents more
Nice work!
Keep it up
Data app 2 ext-sd is possible
picture share
But use pc to partition sd as ext4. I would't like you to screw something. google first how to
And 2nd post updated.
Good job . After last update what is not working now

First of all.. Thanks for your hard work on our SGC2 recovery!
I hope with this, SGC2 has it's own forum as soon as possible
Btw. I confirmed this working for samsung galaxy core 2 duos (G355H) as well
everything looks fine.. touch screen working, but I haven't touched any feature aside from reboot to system which was working
but i believe everything should be working fine
you should change the thread name as your recovery support G355H too :good:
good work bro
