I've tried it, it is compatible and working really good on the X10.
However, after trying a few home replacement, I would advise to use ADW Launcher

agree.
ADW Launcher is much better than any other launcher.
ADW is good, can't argue with that. But I really love Helix. Battery life is good with Helix
I like GDE
My favorite is GDE
Next to GDE I recommend ADW. GDE is better in may aspects like, icons replacer, Icon renamer, uninstaller, custom doc, loop screen and smoother drawer handling. and no problem for battery.
quickz
Here goes the quick review, ..by a smartfone noob with the same issue..
trying to find the best home replacement / launcher.
(reporting from android 1.6)
# Launchpad Lite:
is just a little app(window) to launch the apps which were used most recently.
+ length of the history is adjustable.
+ shows running apps highlited.
# Tag Home(Launcher):
is a full home replacement (can be linked to HOME button).
+ TAGS! to categorize your apps! (!=something that each of these lame launchers should have - even the standard com.android.launcher!)
+ 4 static links in the bottom bar.
- just 4x4 icons.
- not too many options.
# ADW Launcher:
is a full home-replacement.
installed as service(?) (not shown in app-drawer of standard-home).
+ up to 7 screens.
+ set icon density for 1 screen! (5x7, instead of 4x4 icons)
+ screens-preview.
+ set desktop finger-gesture actions (up & down)!
+ options!!!
- just 2 static links in bottom bar.
# Zeam Launcher:
is a full home replacement.
+ Bottom bar with many(!) static links (scroll left/right).
+ upto 9 screens.
+ set doubletap & home-btn action.
- just 4x4 icons.
# KS Lanucher:
is a home replacement + app (can also be started as app on top)
different concept ... no icons.
right = categories list, left = apps- & services-list
+ show running apps & services.
+ lists app history & apps by date of installation
- just 1 category for yourself (in free version)
# Helix: (mentioned above)
... not found on market.
# GDE: (mentioned above)
Costs $$, so it hasn't been tested.
+++
Hints for a noob #13:
To get android asking you which home-program you want to use (with option "dont ask again in the future") when clicking the HOME button, follow ...
1.) Open SETTINGS (standard android settings)
2.) Select APPLICATIONS
3.) Select MANAGE APPLICATIONS
4.) Scroll thru list to find the app which is currently configured to be your home-screen.
5.) Open home-screen app.
6.) Click the CLEAR DEFAULTS button, in the section LAUNCH BY DEFAULT.
done.

You CAN have more than two icons on the bottom with ADW. Disable desktop dots and enabled Secondary Action Buttons. This gets rid of the only "-" for ADW making it nothing but pure awesome!

How to map apps to keyboard shortcuts under Android 4 ICS
Under the default launcher on my Notion Ink Adam tablet with CM9 / ICS 4.04, I can't find a way to access the keyboard shortcut mapping for apps. At least one other device has this problem -- I found this useful thread giving a workaround involving installing Nova or Apex Launchers to create a shortcut to the QuickLaunch Settings app:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1654377
I looked at the logcat in sl4a (Scripting language for android) to find out what app launches the settings: com.android.settings/.quicklaunch.QuickLaunchSettings
So you can also launch the app by opening Terminal and running:
am start -a android.intent.action.MAIN -n com.android.settings/.quicklaunch.QuickLaunchSettings
I hope that helps someone! I wanted to post a reply to the other thread, but don't have the minimum 10 posts to allow me to post in developer threads.

Shortcuts
Hello
I'm using Pureness ICS, and there the shortcuts (copy, paste, select text and so on) with the menu or shift button doesn't work.
:crying:
Is there a fix for that?
Thanks, these could prove to be very useful time savers!

Thanks Norris! I didn't want to install Nova/Apex for this, so found Manual Intent Shortcuts in market (by IG88) which can create the shortcut as follows:
Action: android.intent.action.MAIN
Component Package: com.android.settings
Component Class FQN (note no /): com.android.settings.quicklaunch.QuickLaunchSettings
I wanted to go deeper and assign a quick launch key (Search+Q) to open the quick launch settings
It's easy: When assigning a key, instead of choosing an application, select top-right "..." menu -> "Shortcuts", choose Manual Intent Launcher and configure as above.
Yay!
Thanks
What is the key to bring up the Menu itself? This is like pressing the soft-menu key on the device itself to bring the Menu of the application.
I have a Logitech K810 which works well. I tried pressing FN, the Windows button, CTRL and ALT and all no go.
Hi,
I am looking for the keyboard combination for launching voice search. I found the Android key code. [Constant Value: 231 (0x000000e7)] but haven't figured out which keys to press for it.
Thanks!

Got a Sony Bravia Android TV and a generic USB mini keyboard. I want to turn the TV off (standby) with a hotkey or some sort of button on the leanback launcher. Any suggestions?
Hello,
Someone know how to enter to settings?
Curious if there are any keyboard shortcuts to access notifications?

In honor Yes!
i know other keys, and i'm looking for the shortcut to change source
winkey + backspace = exit/back on remote ctrl
alt-tab = switches back and forth between the last used and current app
winkey + space = google search (start typing immediately)
crtl-alt-del = restarts your TV (like a PC did in the MSDOS-era)
if you have a keyboard with media buttons and special function buttons like the sleep button; those all work..
Internet-keyboards from the early days are especially good:
the "Homepage" button brings you back to the startscreen of AndroidTV
the "moon" sleep button puts your tv to sleep, a mode where you can use another device to wake it up very fast with Wake-On-Lan commands
I've found those just by trying out known windows and linux shortcuts i'm used to use...

[App] Multidialer: themes, gestures and samsung multiwindow

Multidialer is a complete dialer with various features thinked for improve your calls.
There are a lot of great features, for example:
- Suggestions and t9 algorithm;
- Themes;
- Notification widgets;
- Home screen dialer widget (only plus) and 3 different starred in android widget;
- Left slider with contact list (and pictures);
- Right slider drawer with call logs;
- Top slider with settings (inspired by material design);
- Long click on a contact for a quick preview, then click on the pictures for the contact sheet;
- Shortcuts on the numbers;
- Send sms;
- Adaptive UI, that change if you are in multiwindow mode or normal mode (read after about this samsung's feature);
- Automathic call when you put the phone near your ear.
- 4 gestures over the numeric keypad, with different effects if the text field is empty or full;
- Air gestures, control your phone without touching the screen (worked on some samsung devices);
- Others (check the FAQ menu for the complete list of features and instructions).
The interface is designed for have these functions at your fingertips, with a minimal modern graphic style! Also, the style is highly customizable thanks to a lot of themes and the various options.
*****
This app is also designed for samsung devices that support samsung's multiwindow feature (as galaxy s4, s3, note, note 2, note 3...). In some samsung devices you cannot use the dialer in multiwindow mode. With this app you can use the dialer and another app (like browser, playstore, etc...) at the same time! Thanks to the adaptive ui feature, when you are in multiwndow mode the interface change for improve comfort!
Attention: when you make a call you must use the standard interface. Is impossible to replace it (without root). Is a the way used by system for fired calls. You can see it when push the phone icon in every dialer app. Usually this interface doesn't support multiwindow, so this dialer work in multiwindow, but when you starting a call, you'll see the interface in fullscreen. Unfortunatly I cannot do anything for this, is not an issue.
What is samsung multiwindow? It is a great feature for multitasking. Through this, you can split screen in two parts, in order to use 2 apps at the same time! for enable it (depends if your device has this feature) you must check the
toggle "multiwindow", then push and hold back button. You'll see a sidebar that contains all the app that support multiwindow mode. Drag and drop 2 apps from this to the screen and enjoy multitasking!

***Disclaimer***
This launcher project is a homebrew learning curve for a future in code development.
I am more experienced in reading code than writing code so bare with the timely updates as this project is a learning
experience for me and for developers looking to develop their own launcher to understand how much time a project like this could take up.
This launcher uses the Google Services API to power google plus features and manage cache data stored from the launcher to improve performance.
It also needs permission to access your INTERNAL/EXTERNAL DATA, MAKE CALLS AND ACCESS CONTACT INFORMATION and
I can guarantee your data is safe as nothing is taken of yours.
This data is only needed to allow gestures to work correctly and the launcher to perform accurately, if you don't agree on to this code, than you can leave this room.
I promise your device is safe in my hands.
Cheers!
INTRO
Background Story: I began development on Sapphire UI a little over a year ago, link. It's purpose was to be an all exclusive launcher built based on HTC Sense's firmware (Version 6 at the time) and provide HTC device owners a new approach in managing their applications on their device, provide helpful backdoors to managing their device and information and be built on an innovative user interface based on Sense. Well things were looking great, untill HTC updated to Sense7. I had 2 options; ditch the api for Sense6 that rom devs were using and create my own based on HTCs code for Sense7 using smalli injection methods and maintain the API through firmware updates or convert the launcher to full AOSP and just keep the lock in the manifest for HTC devices. Ultimately, I lost interest all together because an AOSP app exclusively for a Sense rom just looked like crap and maintaining a homebrew sense api insided an app based on firmware that could update at any time was way to much work for me atm soooo, I got some feedback from my legacy users on the google plus group, took a long break and decided to rebuild the launcher exclusively for Android 5 and above adding exclusive features for touch.

Mission Statement
To provide my users with an accurately designed launcher experience for the minimum sdk21 powered devices. This means the launcher is built with the latest targeted sdk (24) and is has the standardized tweaks launchers should contain in the launcher market. This launcher is also Fremium meaning its free but allows users to purchase a license code to null out intrusive donation dialogs (Altho a free product to android users, I would like to get funding for my time so i can go bigger). This launcher is also powered by Google Services to provide exclusive Google Plus Features and a faster performance on AOSP devices. This project has a very friendly community on Google Plus and we would like to keep it that way! This project also has an awesome dev that does give aways, one on one time with users to troubleshoot problems and takes request; which is hard to find these days.

I enjoy feedback however negative comments keep to yourself. I want a clean thread. If you want to trash talk on Google Plus or Twitter, go for it. I build based on community request and suggestions. What Sapphire is today is based on this awesome community at Google Plus.

Source Code:
Previously, the plan was to open source the project to community rom devs. Because of the extensive amount of work ive included in this Launcher and several features being forks of obsolete projects on github and a numerious amount of Android Libs included, i fear the source will be abused on kangs so, this project will not be open sourced howevor i will glady share any snibbet code to any developers and developers who would like to contribute or fix something is welcomed as I've had a few contribute in small ways. Community rom devs are welcomed to use Sapphire Launcher in their custom roms with permission from myself. I made this decision because of the numerous developers work being included and the license that protects it.

Attention Users
Sapphire Launcher is no longer receiving major updates. It will continue to receive support updates that will garuntees firmware compatibility, bug fixes and minor adjustments.
A sequel launcher is currently in development and will not recieve a xda developer thread. This launcher project will consume the majority of 2017 and be a premium product of GocalSD. Follow the Google Plus Group for frequent updates and information. Follow me on Twitter for updates as well.
Thankyou for using Sapphire Launcher and supporting my work! Things are about to get interesting in 2017. Sapphire Launcher has always been my bread and butter as a developer, now its time to move onto something bigger and better.
Great launcher!
Thanks! Works very well for alpha!:thumbup:

This reboot project is not just for Sense devices,its for all android 5 devices. The deprecated version was sense exclusive. And that's a negative, with the given resources anyway. Prism can be installed on aosp devices yes, but devs outside of htc do not have the resources to build a sense powered app for non-sense powered devices. You can create built in resources to run a sense interface but its way to much work.

So I always have to download manually, or do you can add an Updater later?
Maybe you create a separated topic for all that?

-Revamp Launcher preferences
-Gesture Support
-Replace Google licensed material
Getting you the updates is a priority so, Im going to be focused on readying this launcher for its re-launch on google play so i dont have to worry about making an ota method prior to google play launch. Just need to remove Google stock graphics and items licensed for their products only.
Remember, I do post alot of previews on the google plus group and ask alot of questions and post over their for feedback.

You mean link it to a hardware or softkey menu button? I could but not many devices have that unless it has a custom navbar.

Working with qsb bar this weekend. The google search bar widget is something of the google now launcher so im taking a ADT approach. Those of you who have android tv may notice the search bar looks similar to your interface. Going to be adding another FAB menu button to access other goodies that doesnt instruct our workspace view
