Looking for more grip! - Galaxy S III Mini Accessories

Does anyone know of a case or just a replacement battery cover that gives the device more 'grip' without increasing the overall size too much?
The nearest thing I've found is the soft silicon/gel type cover.
Thanks

I use this, the original Samsung protective cover the phone just feel so solid and the grip is nice

It is really cool with the side with those buttons instead of having it cut like mine.

I use this one. I really like it. It's has alot of grip, sometimes i get annoyed of pulling it out of my jeans. You can try it. It does increase the size, but its excellent.

I got this one: ebay item No. 200915857184
It is made from hard plastic with a rough surface which offers a bit more grip than the standard case, but nothing like the grip of silicone or gel. It is indeed very thin and adds hardly any size to the device.
It feels a bit cheap, especially around the control cut-outs, because the edges aren't rounded off. I will attack mine with some fine wet and dry paper to see if I can remedy this
I like the fact that it provides a bit of protection around the controls and helps prevent inadvertantly powering on/off the device.
End of Rubbish review :silly:

Got this on ebay uk - item no 400411360255
Pros:
cheap
feels nice
adds grip
Cons:
not a tight fit on the phone
has an injection moulding ridge around the outside
increases size of phone
Summary:
I won't be using it

Ordered this one : 360523724618 ebay.co.uk
Looks promising. Also people saying it's TPU(Thermoplastic Polyurethane) and it shouldn't stretch like simple silicone and it creates some kind of bumper around the phone so you can actually place it faced down to the table without touching the screen. Also they give free screen protector and stylus for cheap price

I have flip cover. Good grip

How do you like the bumper?
theres an accessories forum where they belong.
Man I really wish i had access to try out a bumper - i think it will solve my creaking N4 - which now seems to be caused by the "loose" rubber/plastic trim around the phone (and it flexing between the glass layers).

Thanks for the pics!
It's a bit more elaborate than I thought it would be, the "metal" trim is a nice touch.
Combined with front and back screen protectors, this could be my ideal solution.

...and they're in stock at the Play Store, amazingly! Just ordered one.
can u try dropping it on some different locations and see how it fairs?
3ft naked on cement it faired well. So in theory it should be better with a bumper.
could u try a kitchen floor and then maybe from a roof top? thanks

I hope when you do drop your phone, it explodes for creating a new thread when there is already a decent bumper thread..

I appreciate the photos but I think thy aren't took in good conditions and positions.
The first picture would be nice from top view, too.
The second one isn't sarp enough and the angle isn't very good, please take one fom the side and from top and roof when you attached the bumper to the phone.
The third picture is way too bright...
But thanks for the first impressions. I would be relly pleased if you could do that

[Q] Case that doesn't overlap front

I used to have an iphone 4 and I had a nice clear case that gripped the sides of the case without overlapping the front. I would really like to have something like that for the Nexus 4. Anything that has a lip over the front tends to collect pocket dust like crazy and clear cases seem harder to find for android phones. I don't want anything that is silicon. I don't know if what I want is really possible, the iphone had that infamous metal ring that gave the case something to grip on without going over the front.
Yeah that's a tough one, I think most people actually like to have the overlapping on the front so the screen doesn't contact a surface if it's face down. When looking up cases they point that out too as one of the pro's of their case.
I'm sure more cases and options will come out for this phone, they were probably waiting to see the actual demand for this phone and it seems there is more demand for this phone then companies thought there would be.
I'm waiting for something like Spigen has for the iphone, it looks like a bumper with a clear part on the back. Not sure if they'll make that either, if not I'll stick to finding a good bumper.
I'm in the same boat. I was actually looking at one last night but now I can't find it!
What it did was overlapped only on the corners. So, the corners were protected and the face of the phone wouldn't touch when lying face-down, but you still had the ability to easily use gestures on the curved screen.
I believe this will do what you want http://www.rearthusa.com/google-nexus-4-ringke-slim-case they aren't clear, but they have the most restricted fit http://www.rearthusa.com/google-nexus-4-ringke-slim-case

It looks like it's only a pre order, but these fit fairly "slim"
That case would be so perfect for me if it had the back cut out to show the glass back design. Be a shame to cover it up.

It is a shame but most people with clear cases end up with yellowish tinted case after getting it dirty. Also, the rearth ringke cases are I believe still slippery, not much grip compared to diztronics or other brands.

The nillkin case is just beautiful and just cost 10 dollars
I don't know I think I may just go caseless and rely on the scratch resistance of gorilla glass. I am not worried about drops I can prevent that, it just seems silly to put a case on to protect the pretty back when it obscures the pretty back. Kind of like keeping a fancy watch in a safe so you don't scratch it.

Dark Brown Leather - Nature Series Slickwraps

It arrived yesterday to New Zealand, it feels incredibly soft and is starting to weather well. fits mostly to the edges - a little overlap at the bottom, but I pulled it off while applying due to it not sitting right so I may have stretched it. Most of all, it smells amazing!
Very happy with the quality and the colour suits my Gold Platinum Note 7

Looks nice. What about grip feel? Real leather or still plasticwrap-feel with only texture?

Hey, i just checked the website. The price is a bit high, but I don't know about the quality.
I saw this glow in the dark thing. Is it legit? How long is it going to last?
Natural series of SlickWraps are not plastic, I've had a bamboo and a leather. Both were real materials, really great experience, however, bear in mind, leather will obviously change a colour.

Very easy to line up, I used the camera cutout as a guide, but it was slightly askew at the bottom so before I smoothed it all down I pulled it off, the adhesive is very sticky and it was already stuck firm after gently placing down so as I pulled it up I think it stretched a bit. After I put it back down, the bottom slightly overlapped the phone, but its wearing it with usage now and is hugging closer to the phone.
On the previous 2 phones I used the tip of a Bic pen (without the ink nib out) to run across the sides and push the leather into the curve, and on the Note 5 I used a hairdryer to help it bend in, didnt need it on the note 7
this seems cool

Otterbox Case

Did anyone get the otterbox case that can post a few pictures of it especially showing the thickness of it on the phone? The only ones I can find are the stock photos of it but I haven't been able to find any videos or photos on it yet. Thanks in advance.
I bought it today. So I will share photos when it will come

Not sure why but these pictures aren't loading.
Otterbox's cases are far from being compact or thin. Actually the opposite. That's easily going to add some 3mm tickness.
That being said, if you're after a case that's going to do is job protecting your phone that's what you get.
Didn't know that was available for the 1+6 tho. Ordered one now! Thanks!

That is some pretty serious case bloat.
Anyone have any leads on a glass screen protector that's actually compatible with this case?
An alternative for Otterbox is Poetic. They offer robust cases with the same level of protection, but somewhat cheaper and less 'bulky'. Check them on their official web page ->here<-
I ordered the Guardian, but it hasn't shipped yet. I can post some pics when it's delivered...
So I posted a quick video on the OtterBox case this morning:
I actually found that it DID work with the OnePlus TGSP fairly well.

Nevermind. My otterbox case just came in today.
It's fits JUST FINE with the OEM 3D glass screen protector.
You just have to be careful when putting it on.
Be very careful when putting the phone in the soft rubber part of the case, make sure the lip of the rubber case goes up and over the glass protector, and does not try to go under it (pushing the screen protector up).

Nillkin super frosted shield case

While it may not be as protective as other rugged cases...this one provides good grip, very slim profile with very nice cut outs and the polycarbonate material feels really good in hand.

I've got this case too, I really like it. I also have the official Xiaomi Mi 6X hard case which feels good, just not as grippy as the Nillkin.
I'm trying to find a slim hard case that doesn't get fingerprint smudges all over it. Kind of a pain to be always wiping them off...
I like the look of both of these cases, but do they show smudges easily?

Not as much. But it's enough
I had this case on LG G3, was really perfect. Then I bought it for my Mi A1, also perfect. So third time I decided to buy it for A2 and got very disappointed - its nearly impossible to click it off the phone, really strong clamping. Next thing that bothers me is lack of quality - I can see imperfections all around the case even poorly cutted edges -> this aboslutely wasnt present on my previous frosted cases. Last time Nilkin.
What case is that???
