Hi all
I will be looking for a team to work under JDR0iD Development Team (JDDT) to release high quality roms to the community. Anyone interested please.pm me with what skills /experience you can bring to team. Ideally we will be looking to release sense, aosp, cm9 and miui based roms to the community so you should be expected to build from source and will be managing and leading each campaign individually. For example I will be managing the sense project as I am more famililar with this work.
how ever I am no official dev but have a minor understanding and have created few roms in the past on sensation and desire which is why this opportunity is open to all.
I am Doing this to help people be part of potentially something big and to allow them to utilize their hidden skills and share their work to the Android community this could include work that's already released but re branding to a team that will have work across all bases.
REQUIRED
- An experienced dev to work with and manage the MiUI project
-An experienced dev to work with and manage the cm9 and/or aosp project
-An experienced themer to theme all roms including framework, icons, m10 hacks smalli etc to visually look and feel the same across all projects.
- Possibly a .mtz themer. If the miui coodinater would benefit from a custom themer.
-A designer to assist theming icons etc specific to JDR0iD but primarily to brand the team including logo / headers / signitures and so on.
-Somebody who can help with hosting/creating a site to share our work as I am not in a position to pay at the moment.
All credits will be given as a team under the JDDT and feel this would be really beneficial to the community and I am looking to recruit asap to start working on releasing the roms asap.
Send me a pm with why you want to join and maybe linking me to any previous work you have made and selections will.be made by Sunday 26th Feb 2012.
This is an idea I think will.be beneficial, any feedback appreciated.

Hi! I guess most of you have seen the "multiwindow" function on the Samsung Galaxy Note II! After a bit searching, I stumbled into an Open Source project called "Cornerstone", which features this function. I'm not a developer, so I was wondering if some developers here on XDA will port this mod?
It would be a great mod for our device! And I also think it would be a very nice mod for the Paranoid Android ROM!
Take a look at this video showing what the mod does!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qX8w3UZIjkc
Here's also a link to their website!
http://www.onskreen.com/cornerstone/index.php
Very cool! Would be great for paranoid Android! Perhaps ask DK what he thinks of it on the paranoid Android site? Maybe he can incorporate if he likes it?

Although I originally wanted to have JKay and his framework help me with this, since I saw he implemented it at some point, I got a warning about XDA rules and my question was ignored. Reminds me of corporate policies and such, stuff like this is a bit sad in a developer community that should actually be helping others, rather than worrying about being the only person who does something.
In any case, I thank JKay for that experience, I got to know Android's source code way better, and I found jd-gui, really awesome tool and helps a lot with making Xposed mods. I did the mod from the ground up, so no one's code was used. The source code is above, and anyone's free to use it under the GPLv3 license.
Thanks to rovo89 for his framework.
Thanks to: @elesbb for KitKat support

Hi Mohammad, first of all thank you very much for your work! I am one of the many users that use most of your apps But, I am having a small problem with this one in particular. I am running Android 4.3 TW MJ5 and it works well, but my lockscreen wallpaper is always deleted when I turn the screen off. Is there any fix for that? Thanks!

This thread is intended to be a one stop for developer appreciation. Please tag a developer, and express your gratitude. If it weren't for guys like @InkSlinger420, @ktempleton and @Somcom3X (just to name a few) these devices would have been left in the dust, but instead they have carried them into the future and deserve our endless gratitude.

I don't know if I really belong among the shout-out recipients, but the spirit behind this is a great thing to see
I would also like to thank all those already listed, as well as @merwin for his kernel work in the pre-JB days. The shoulders of giants and all that

Thanks!
My claim to fame... First custom stock kernel for the blaze 4g. Heh.
I still have my blaze (in addition to a Nokia Lumia windows phone). And I'm still really the only custom stock based kernel dev for this phone. Too bad I left the kernel in a high battery draining state. I've been meaning to get back to that so I can give it to my kids as a game phone.
Maybe I'll make a short comeback.
I'm stuck with stock based myself because the phone is our home phone (for babysitters to use for emergency). I live in an area where only Verizon and Sprint get coverage, and I rely on WiFi Calling, which I don't think has been figured out for AOSP.
I'd like to throw shout's out to
@car vs driver @Unjustified Dev
who have not been mentioned yet...
+ Everyone who has already been mentioned...
Since I'm still relatively new to this I would like to thank you all for adding to this list developers from earlier days and developers I've yet the pleasure to try their work.

Thanks to everybody that makes possible this dream: give to our SGH-T769 a new life, a new future, a better phone than was yesterday, more than great Roms and Kernels.
Thank you for everything, DEVELOPERS.

I guess I will start off with a little intro about myself. I am on the cricket network using phones I flashed myself. I started out on android with the wonderful (LOL) cricket zio, then Sprint Evo 4g (Og Evo), Sprint Evo 3D, and now Sprint Note 2 (l900). Along the way I have learned how to do some pretty cool things. I have modified stock roms, ported roms from other devices, and built from source code for all the phones lised excluding the zio (cheap pos). Along the way I have meet and worked with many users here on XDA and one of them just happens to own the n9005 (which I am looking to buy soon). So I figured while I am doing some of my source rom updates (4.4.2 to 4.4.4) why not include the n9005 into the mix.
So I have been gathering up information (noticed lack of aosp roms here also) and getting together a device tree for the n9005. I am building for a device I dont have so things might be a little slow at first. Once I get the first build up and running the others should just fall right in place. The roms I have currently on my list are B.A.K.E.D (black android kang everyone desires), Mahdi-Rom, Schism (a white version of Mahdi), and BeanStalk. Baked is a blacked out rom which only has a few features which makes for a nice, small, clean, and fast rom. Mahdi-Rom has many features and looks like a normal aosp rom. Schism is a white version of Mahdi-Rom with a few extras added to it. Last is BeanStalk (my main aosp rom) which has just about every feature there is from all the great aosp roms.
Well enough ramblings for now. If you are interested in doing some testing of these roms please hit me up via pm.
Note to testers... I need users who have adb setup and can pull logs

Dude,
Lot of ROM's are there for N9005 model including CM. Nothing is to be created newly.
The only device which is looking for developers is N900 and that too for CM.
When you are contributing something to someone or a community, it should be unique and best contribution to a community. In that way, If you contribute to N900 your work will stand out from the crowd & Will be helpful to many along with the challenge in developing.
And for device donation, i dont think you really are in need of money as you have mentioned that, you are going to buy a device N9005. Also, when you buy a model and develop something to a communiyt which is starving automatically that community people will donate.
And this is some opinion and just neglect it, if you dont care.

If you want a dev for n900 go ahead. As I said I have no interest in the n900 and only said that donating a device would be the only incentive that would make me want to. As you noticed I want the n9005 and will purchase one since it will fill my needs better than a n900.
