Do not "use the tool kit ace" unless you understand that it is retired and unsupported.
its not a good idea to use the ace kit its no longer supported and if u mess up and something go's wrong then know that ur screwed the member that made the kit pulled it and is no longer supporting in but if u want search the threads and do some reading and u will find that he also made a root kit with no s off and its ez to use i rooted mine with the hack kit before he pulled it but if u did some reading like it says every where on here u would know how to do it and not ask for help if u dont really know how to do it id read every thing i could and check out you tube for tips and when u feel like you know every aspect of what ur doing on then should u try it you dont want to turn ur phone into a paper weight !!!!! READ !!!!!!
I have used Easy Ace Root tool successfully but it does have its quirks. It errors out often and I had to manually do each step more than once to finally get it rooted. Jarring... is the word I can think of
I have used the easy ace root tool. At first, I unlocked the bootloader w/ that tool, and then proceeded to root my inspire. Root access not applied. So, I tried again, and it worked. You just have to follow the directions step by step. Although, if you do not attain S-OFF, then you must flash the boot.img of the ROM you flash to your inspire (if you flash a new rom, that is).

i will but i didnt make ota update and i have the rom version 2.3.4 do i need to downgrade to 2.3.3
You do not need to do downgrade. Try again to follow the tutorial step by step. You must have USB debugging turned on. Try on another computer.

my post here will explain things a little bit, once read you are going to have to google a method on how to root your device specificly, it can be a pain to root htc phones while for others its as simple as installing a app and taping the root button, not sure why htc does this im sure theres lots of answers to it but i just dont know them.

Anyways, I rooted my phone. the problem was that i updated my mobile to android 4 by RUU. So the tutorial i was following used old CWM recovery. use the new one and it will work like charm. here is the link http://4urore[.]net/android/rhyme/11-recovery/3-clockworkmod-6-0-1-0-for-the-rhyme . enter commands manually. Hope it solves anyone else's problem.
Hey guys, I'm a newbie here I recently got ZTE Blade III. This phone is really cool. But since my carrier approves rooting, I'm thinking about it. So, I found a program called One Click Root. I just want to ask how safe it is? I'm really new to all this, I had an iPhone before this and I already know how to jailbreak. Nevermind lol.
Please tell me about this, if someone tried this, is it working? Thanks.
So? Anyone?
Yes one click root is safe
I had not tried it but heard it
All the thing is u get root access
Only the thing is u have to do it carefully
This should fix ur problem:thumbup:
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED

Yay, thank you I will try this tomorrow
Actually 1 more question :3 My boot animation is literally a piece of crap and I want to change it. Do I only need to replace the bootanimation.zip file or what?
Can't link to it, just search Google for "change boot animation ZTE Blade III" it came out to a website name then topic/334451-guide-how-to-change-your-bootanimation-and-splash-image/
Haven't tried it, I don't have the same phone as you. That was just a simple Google search for how to do it.
Also, OneClickRoot hasn't worked for me ever. I heard it's only for older phones because they quit developing for it a few years ago. You might wanna just search for a guide to root it properly. It shouldn't be too difficult, especially if your phone isn't locked.
But it is locked Um can you find a good tutorial on google, cuz I'm new to all this and I'm not sure which way to use Just find the easiest one lol

my suggestion before one click rooting is to look up your device on this forum and do your research. onclick does not work for all decvices, also your device forum will have step by step on how to do this with whatever you will need. many custom roms have this feature built in,
I will try that and tell what happened
Oh my god I found some tool and it WORKED!! And the OneClickRoot thing failed. Aah I'm so happy :3

Hi all,
As I'm new to HTC devices (previously used Sony mobiles) , I can't find a easy step to root my HTC One ME dual sim , all the procedures given here for rooting is very confusing for me please someone give me a step by step procedure to root my device.
More over in Sony Mobile I can root without unlocking the bootloader, thus getting the OTA updates while rooted,
Can that be done in HTC also?
Please help
Take a look at this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/guide-root-install-twrp-htc-one-m9-t3061133
I think it's complete and easy to follow.
You can also use a toolkit like this http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/development/tool-squabbi-s-universal-toolkit-htc-t3074997, it could automate some tasks.
