[Q] xperia tipo -> led not working in cm10 - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

Hi, I am a new member here and a new user of cm10. I installed it yesterday in my tipo. everything is working well, except that the led light doesn't work. For example, it doesn't get red when the battery is low, or it doesn't get blue when i have a missed call or new sms.
Is that a bug in the firmware or something i did wrong? thank you.

I think that is bug, revert to stock

Thanks for your answer. Do you use this firmware on tipo also?

^Not sure whether it's a bug or a CM10 feature..
Anyway, there's a simple workaround. Just download the Lightflow app from Play Store and manually set it for each!

Does the LED me know app work for you guys?

Doesn't seem to work for me. The LED will still turn off after 10 mins or so.

Yeah, I do. Does the whole keyboard blinking thing work for you too?
Yeah everything works good, I do have the keyboard blinking box checked as well. Is this the version you have? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=13929058&postcount=495
This worked! Thank you so much! I downloaded the version that was in the market, but this one worked, although both requested root haha.
Thanks again

Nice! I didn't explain myself clearly when I asked if your using the version that requested root. Glad I helped.

Quick question, does the whole keyboard blinking thing happen even though you don't have it enabled? I don't have the box checked an it's lighting up and flashing lol.
If I uncheck it, it just stays on and never blinks for me. Kinda weird but if it works without it being checked, thats great.
It works sorta for me. I have the notifications for email, voicemail and twitter but when I get email notifications, I have turned the notifications on the gmail app off and let led me know notify me, the kb blinks and doesn't stop until I turn off the app. It's happened to me a few times, not too sure why. I may just use notifications for gmail only and see how that reacts and then add the other two apps that I want added one by one to see if they work in conjunction.
Does this application really work you, were you also able to choose amber for sms and not just green? It did not work on m phone but it is not rooted yet, will it work if rooted?

[Q] Looking for Color LED notification app

Guys, I have tried light flow and light manager and I can't get these apps to work properly. Do you guys know any other app that works properly on Nexus 5 to control color of notification LED?
Thanks

LEDBlinker is another one
Yup, LEDBlinker Pro gives me no issues whatsoever, whereas Light Flow and Light Manager gave me nothing but issues.
Perhaps I'm just lucky then, LightFlow has been working fine for me on OmniRom.
Did you set up the app as per the developer website instructions?
Yes, I have tried many settings but it never worked right. I'm gonna try ledblinker now... fingers crossed.

Light Flow

Has anyone been able to get Light Flow to work on the OnePlus One? I like light flow a lot better than the CM notification center, but I just can't seem to get it to work.
Has anyone here getten it to work? If so, mind sharing your settings?
So far I've had one person say it worked and two not!
Can you try and see if led color tester by coolbeans works on the phone (with lightflow either not installed or disabled) and let me know if that works?
I'm interested in this as well. I enjoy Lightflow so much more than any of the other notification apps I've tried. I'll be heartbroken if it doesn't work...
i used lightflow with paranoid android and it works fine on my oneplus one chinese version

Hello. I'm a big fan of your work (been using on the N4 and N5).
I also have this app on my OnePlus One. I noticed that up until the most recent build that all my notifications were working. Gmail and stuff were all fine.
Is it me or did the latest build change something? When notifications come in I get a white light blinking. When I power my screen on and off again it seems like Light Flow then registers, and now I get green pulses.
I'm not sure if its the most recent build of Light Flow or if its because I added a second Gmail account). I am rooted so I'm on root mode, but maybe some of my settings are whacked?

Yep, have the same "issue". Before the last Update everything was fine..
No Light Flow issues here.
Just got my OnePlus One today. Installed, restored the app generated backup from my S4, good to go.
Some apps need to have their own LED setting disabled for LF to work properly since the last version.

I'm aware of this for some users and I've just pushed out an update (it should show in the play store over the next few hours) I've had a few people testing who had that issue and reports so far seem to be that it fixes that issue.

You sir are a hero. It no longer requires me to use Gravity Box UNC to override settings.
Question: Do you recommend for high end phones like the N5 and OPO to run in foreground or background? I see no issues with background on my OPO and the app doesn't get killed at all.
Second question: You're still going to roll out global settings someday right? Having to change speeds for every app is a bit annoying, or even custom blink settings.
Final question: Is it possible to adjust the brightness for the LED? I see a brightness option in the sleep options for night blinking, but adjustments for individual notifications? Would be nice to have global for this too

On the N5 I find it does work better with the option on, without it once every few days maybe it'll get killed off by android (which is fairly normal for any background service) so it'll miss a notification.

Yes that's still on the list. If google hadn't brought out android L I'd have been working on that, but I've had to divert my time to issues with that!

There's a global option for this (in lightflow, settings, general settings, led brightness), but not individual, you'd just have to use the custom color option at the moment.
Lightflow works for me.
I can't get LF working, or if it does work it just flashes white. I'm 100% stock/unrooted so is there anything else I need to activate to get it working? I had no issues with my previous Nexus 4/5 so it must be something silly!
EDIT: Reinstalled and seems to be working OK now, so obviously something I did wrong!
Thanks for the help @andrewpmoore
Is it possible to have the lights on even when the screen on? Is that the "Samsung direct mode?" I don't believe that worked on my other non Samsung devices, so I doubt it will work on the OPO.
I ask because CM's battery LED seems to by default remain on even when the screen is on or off.

Same here. Rooted. Locked bootloader. Dunno if it matters...
Correction! There seems to be a small glitch: At the end of Charging when switching to Charged it seems to start switching between Charging and Charged rather than just using the Charged notification.
I've a fix coming for switching between charged and charging.
What 'Device Settings' is everyone running to make this work? Is anyone using:
Direct Mode?
Samsung root mode?
Reset color before change?
Nexus 5 force LED reset?
For some reason mine works for a period of time than I start getting SMS's and it stops working. I restart the app, but it doesn't continue to work again. Not sure what's going on.

The glitch seems to have exploded... nothing seems to be working now... not mail, not sms ... nothing. Tried to enable the root option but it makes no difference

The Nexus 5 thing is the only box I have checked (must've been by default since I didn't do it).

Not having any issues... maybe backup your notification settings and then wipe and restore them. Ensure LF has the proper notifications access, etc.

Nope. Nothing. Tried to clear the cache and data. Tested the notifications and nothing... Checked Notification access and tried enabling root mode. Still nothing... Phone is stock though rooted.

I often have the same problem. With the screen off I get random notification flashes, but there are no notifications. I thought it was a problem with Light Flow so I uninstalled it and the problem persists. Currently on PA but the same problem existed with Stock Rom. I'm baffled.

Light Flow messed up my led pretty bad. Uninstallation didn't help as well. I did a clean flash of my rom and everything was sorted out ever since. May be you should try it as well??

Honor 8 and Light Manager Pro problem changing LED notifications

Having problems with Light Manager Pro and Lightflow -- the settings for the LED in both apps don't stick.
The "test" button works, and the color settings stick for about 5 minutes after resetting the phone, but after that, it goes back to a flashing green LED for all notifications.
I have already tried protecting Light Manager Pro to keep it alive all the time, as well as Normal Mode vs Alternating Mode.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
i'll check today evening if i have same problem ! . R u in beta version ?

Hmmm... any suggestions? The only two I know of that control the LED for notifications are Light Manager and Lightflow... both have not been able to consistently manage the LED.
Does the "White" option in Light Manager look pink to anyone else? I wonder if the LED colors aren't quite "right" though I'm sure people here know more about this.
