Once again, I just want to remind everyone of the Mofi pouch.
You can see Matias Duarte taking the Nexus 4 out of a Mofi pouch here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=66-4uMQqerA#t=36s
I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this since I've used this pouch ever since I bought my Galaxy Nexus. Bought it twice and will probably buy one more when I order the Nexus 4.
I'm not luckyexpress168, just of fan of the high quality product. Here's his/her store link:

I bought that as well when I got my Galaxy Nexus but yes, this is thicker and because N4 is 5mm shorter in length, it should fit better than even the Galaxy Nexus.
Which item are you guys purchasing? I don't see Nexus 4 anywhere.
awesome! I was wondering what case Matias was using! Just ordered the "Kangaroo" version (not because I'm Aussie ) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/36046530...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_3419wt_1397 (This should fit the Nexus 4, Nexus 4 is smaller than the SGS3 except for the thickness)

Are these MoFi pouches totally soft or do they have material that provide firmness? If I am not mistaken, the MoFi pouch seems to be just soft fabric.
(I've been using a leather pouch for the Galaxy Nexus, which provides good protection against edge drops.)

Yes they are completely soft, but from my experience with my HOX they are plenty thick enough to protect the screen when I dropped it. Kind of like a synthetic felt kind of fabric which cleans the screen every time you push/pull your phone from the pouch; quite a tight fit though... headphones never really fit in too well. Still, best pouch I ever owned and much better than a bully case. Had a bright orange one myself, sucker for bright colours hope that helps.
I really, really want a Mofi pouch, but I'm not sure which one I should order! What device is closest to the Nexus 4 in terms of dimensions?
To those that keep their phones in pouches, too you guys put the phone and pidgin your pocket or do you keep both in a bag? Random and weird question, I know. I wear Levis 511 and am curious how you guys carry them

I think a Galaxy Nexus pouch would fit the N4.
The tmobile t989-galaxy s2 case is like 4 mm off height wise, but almost spot on everywhere else.
Specs via phonearena.com
Nexus 4- 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm
T989- 130 x 69 x 9 mm

I would agree with that statement. If you watch theVerge video where they are talking to Matias, he pulls the Nexus 4 out of the Mofi Pouch. Since i don't think anyone at Google told Mofi about the specific dimensions, and it's not likely that he has a GS3 since he works at Google, my bet is that he used the Mofi Pouch with his Galaxy Nexus and it fit great via the video.

That's what the first post in this thread says.
I was wondering which case is better than the other?
I'm looking to keep the nexus 4 slim, sexy, and functional.
I narrowed it down to these two cases because of the clicky tactile feels (on the fusion revision) and the original bumper while maintaining slimness.
I got the bumper a week after I received my phone. Well, not the official one, but a replica of the LG one that's sold in the Play Store. The one I received off Amazon seemed fine, but after about a week of normal use, 2 cracks appeared - one on the bottom where the USB is, and the other on the power button.
I think that they appeared because of plugging in the phone and clicking the power button turning it on and off. The material (metal-looking plastic) that surrounds the bumper is flimsy on it's own, and with a certain amount of pressure and heat from the phone, it's prone to cracking.
If you Google around you'll find that a lot of people have had the same problem with the official one. I bought the same bumper for my friend too, but his is holding up well so far, so I'm not sure. The bumper seemed to have a tighter fit on his N4 whereas mine felt a little loose. He has been using it for a couple months as his was the first wave of N4 that were shipped out. I just got mine a little less than a month ago.
Switched over to the Ringke Fusion based on the number of excellent reviews it got both on XDA and Amazon. Took about a week to get here and because it is the revision, the buttons are clicky and give a good feedback. The case also doesn't add much bulk at all. While I do like the heft of carrying around the phone naked, the glass panels scare me. I never used cases on my old phones, but then again, they were plastic and metal. They sure could take a hit!
The Fusion makes the N4 feel more solid as it is, and it works well with wireless chargers. The only complaint I have about it is the back clear plastic tends to dirty quite easily, with scuffs, fingerprints. But then again, who takes time out of their day to gander at the back of the phone. Sure it's pretty but you'll be spending more of your time messing around with the front.
Where'd you find the official bumper for 13?

I remember when i bought my N4, I kept buying different bumpers because either they were too tight [messed up my screen protector], too bulky or did not protect my phone good enough. In January, I bought Ringke Fusion; been using it since then . Its not one of those cheap bumpers, you will definitely feel the quality. Its fits the phone very well and you wont feel the size of it in your hand or in your pocket.

It's a replica. The real ones are sold on the play store. If it says official elsewhere and is less than the price you would normally pay, chances are it's not official. Anyone can say it's official but it isn't.

LOL I would personally get the Fusion, and yes, most bumpers online are replicas even if they are in LG packaging. The normal bumpers cost about 20bux (USD) so that's a good gauge in authentic or not.
There's a thread somewhere comparing the packaging but basically, if there's a holo sticker on the back, mine is square that reads "Original accessories by LG".
GL
Bumper
Wider
Looks better
Less protection
Ringke
Better protection
Lets you create custom designs to insert behind the plastic
horrible protruding creases on the back of the case. - rough to the touch
picks up fingerprints and dust way too easily.
I use bumper for everyday use and if i'm going to be somewhere outside for a long while where i won't have a place to put my phone safely away i use the ringke.

Yes it fits fine. I have a custom and that's technically two skins of thickness in my areas and fits fine.
I had casemate toughs on both my S2 & S3 and the S4 version just doesn't provide the same protection.
The hard shell on the previous version came up to protect the rim and thereby I could place phone screen down effectively on hard case. S4 version has rubber only above rim.....

UAG won't do it for me as it's a one piece case, the whole reason the CMT was the dogs was the rubber inner and seperate hard shell outer.
This allows some compression/deceleration if a drop occurs and that can make the difference between cracked or working LCD.
Any other alternates?

In the end I've gone with the Otterbox Defender.
A bit chunkier then I'd like to be honest but it provides proper protection and for my very expensive phone that's what's important.
Defender? Wow, that's so heavy according to some people. How much extra weight does it add? Can you in/out the phone from pocket easily? I don't mean coat/blazer pocket.

If you use the Defender without the belt clip there's no problems putting it into or taking it out of your pocket. I don't notice the extra weight to be honest but that could be because I'm 6' 2" and a big guy.
For me protection comes first and looks second, honestly I can't understand people who'd risk a $600+ ($1000 for me) loss + all the inconvenience for the sake of it looking marginally better.
Of course I don't want it to look like rubbish but protection always first.

You're gonna find dozens of different opinions on this. Everyone has different needs and preferences and few people will have used more than one case.
I've had the Diztronic TPU case. It's not bad. But being a TPU case, it's fairly bulky and I wouldn't call it pretty. I got this one a bit later: http://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10001933/1138601-protective-pc-matte-case-for-lg-nexus-4 Looks and feels better in my opinion and is less bulky. Definitely offers less protection though, but I'm okay with that cause I just like using my phone quite a bit more with this case compared to a TPU one. Doesn't mean you will, though. There is no single best case.
I personally like the S line TPU cases found on ebay, there are only a few bucks and they provide the best overall protection + grip on the sides. Cant complain about 2 bucks.
I'm using this one and love it.

I have always preferred tpu or hybrid cases, the hybrids for the nexus 4 were lack luster at best, and out of the tpu cases I found the cruzerlite a2 to be the best. I have had great luck with Supcases on other phones and tablets. Love the fitment and the rubber last forever.
Looks like the pictures for both cases on Amazon have been updated. They look really nice and don't interfere with the auto focus sensor. Unicorn Beetle Slim and Pro
Edit: I believe they also added new colors
I like both of them, but more leaning to the slim model. I like the bigger one, but I am always afraid the screen protector will affect screen usage. Anyone have any experience with how the built in screen protectors feel?

Yes, although the built in screen protector is pretty nasty. Easy to remove by pushing it out of the frame and scraping off the adhesive. I have one on my g3 and the buttons are open, but that's probably because the way the g3 sits. Looking at the version for the Nexus it looks like they are completely covered.

Good point. If I really wanted to I could peel off the included one and go with a tempered glass protector.

This is what I did for the iPhone version. I couldn't stand the built-in protector for more than a day before I ordered glass.
I preordered this case about a month ago and absolutely need this case. After using one on my Motorola nexus 6, and doing construction work for a living its my go to case. I don't know how much longer I can wait for this to ship.... Seems like the date keeps getting pushed back on Amazon.

Only the pro has the built-in plastic protector. Buttons are covered, but still just as effective/responsive. IMO from personal experience, the pro version is complete overkill because the standard cause does such a great job with almost no perceived bulk. Pro only wins out over the standard version if you expect to drop your phone from an extreme height like 15 feet or so. If you, like many, like UAG cases, you'll love this one.
