I am suddenly facing issue with N/W in SL.
I am in India and have an airtel prepaid connection and for the past 3 days, though my phone shows n/w coverage, i am not able to make calls.
Moreover if someone is tryin to call, even they get not reachable message.
After some time, i then get an SMS that i had a missed call from so and so numbers.
I am not sure why it could have happened. I have tried CM 9 A12 and CM 10 A2 in my phone over the last few months but i am currently back to stock DDLF2(rooted).

Please try the latest rom 10.1 alpha 7 and see if issue persists.

Will do that, but the problem is i doubt that would help. Can it be an issue with the modem of the rom?

My issue is:
I purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 on 14-Apr-2011.
I am facing the issue related to the connection to my phone network. After I switch on the phone, I get my mobile network signal for about 30 minutes and after that the "No Service" icon is enabled and there is no signal at all in my phone.
I checked the SIM card on a difference phone and there is abosolutely no issue in getting the network signal.
I tried a different service provider SIM on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and I find there is no issue either.
The problem seems to occur only with my SIM card on this phone. I changed to a new SIM and apparently that also did not solve the issue.
I am also unable to find the "Network Mode" option under the network settings, which I would normally find in other phones.
I tried with the option "Use only 2G network" but that also did not help. I am not using any 3G service at the moment.
I am now stuck in this situation and not able to use my new phone.
I am from Chennai, India and use Vodafine India post paid service.
Hence seeking your kind advice to help me resolve this issue at the earlier.

I am facing the very same issue.
I contacted my dealer and got the phone replaced.
They supposedly diagnozed some problem and issues a doa on the device
Now, even in my new phone i am facing the same issue
I am using vodafone postpaid and it works fine on any other phone
Also, ive tried my dad's airtel prepaid sim on this phone and it worked perfectly fine for over 2 days
I have tried searching for this issue on any thread for sometime and finally found this

I too have the same problem.
The Network often gets disabled.
i have to either switch off and on it (or go into flight mode and come back) for it to get enabled.
My Sim Card is fine since when i use it in a nokia phone i never get this problem.
Whats worrying me is that this looks more like a hardware problem ... i recently updated my firmware through kies from froyo (2.2) to gingerbread (2.3.4) ... still the problem is persisting.
Many guys are suggesting to contact my dealer .. but i purchased this phone through letsbuy.com. So that option might be a hassle.
So guys any info on this issue ...?

Hi Folks, same problem here in Brazil with S5830B, no service all the time! any ideas????????????????????
U can try to change the modem of the firmware with Odin Multidownloader... try to put an unbranded rom... that works for me in my ACE.
I hope your trouble is silved with this option.... check in the forum of the developement of galaxy Ace a forum for flashing the galaxy ace...
The problem is you guys didn't post in the device-specific forum .
Try flashing a different modem through ODIN

My issue is resolved once I updraded firmware of my phone thru Kies tp 2.3 from 2.2
also you can try following:
dial *#2263#
select GSM mode and then select 900/1800 (or may be if that does not work..select other bands. my was fixed when I selected 900/1800 after I got few emergency call only issue)

I have a similar problem and does not know how to fix it.
One monent whatsapp gives a message "this version to old" and then I downloaded another version and get the "not connected to the internet"
message.
I cannot connect to the internet on Unitel (service provider in Angola), but can connect through wifi without any problems.
This is very irritating, but I am really enjoying my first ever Tab.

it was on version 4.1.1 official samsung
i flashed with odin to 4.3 indian stock rom.
now the phones working but the sim card is not registered on the network. it says emergency calls only.
i checked the phone its not at all black listed and the guy from whom i purchased was using it with his sim in it.
it cozed issues only after i flashed it to 4.3. also this is a phone from dubai as the guy told me.
the imei no is showing still but the network wont get registered. plz help asap!! thanks in advanced.

have you tried using other sims? maybe its not compatible with your specific sim.
maybe you just dont have any coverage, when i get the "not registred on network" message, it usualy means i'm underground, or in a place with low cell coverage, like in the woods or mountains.

The phone is factory unlocked so no issues related to not compatible and I tried with another sim too. Still the same problem. The problem only came when I flashed the 4.3 Indian stock rom. But that rom doesn't have any problem coz I've used on other note 2 too. Something related with the phone.
Hi there if you go into settings and then about device and then status you will be able to see if you have a service state if you don't have any but the network operator appears as well as signal stats. You most likely have a black listed iemi or something happened to the iemi when flashing the rom or more simple is the sim slot is broken. Hopefully you will be able to fix it sorry I can't give you that much help on this subject.

I just upgraded my Note 2 with DN4. All went well and it is an amazing experience, I would say. Thanks to team Elecctron. Before I upgraded to DN4 I had rooted my note 2 with TWRP. After that I am facing issue of Insert SIM, Baseband Unknown and IMEI unknown.
I am sure that TWRP has created this problem, but now I am not able to recover my phone to connect to network. Please request your help to sort this issue.

Which model Do you have? GT-N7100, N7105, SGH-I317...
Hi I have a samsung galaxy s6(sm-G920F) on 5.1.1 non rooted, the problem i am facing is that the lte stopped working without any reason, i didnt drop it neither i updated anything it just stopped working now i only see the E sign on the network bar, i couldn't find any answer for this so any help is appreciated

Why did you create 2 threads for the same issue?
Anyways, what data network mode did you select? It should be LTE/WCDMA/GSM Auto connect.

Hey there.i m sure these senior members will help u out on this one.i had a similar problem after updating to os 5.1.1 and using it for some time on my s6 the 4g LTE icon suddenly disappeared and never came back.I tried using 3g i could not even get the 3g icon.All i could get was the E or Edge icon when turned on the mobile data.I made sure there's nothing wrong with my network.Both of my sims are working fine with 4g and 3g on another handset.I hv been using it at the same place.Tried to search this issue on internet but with no luck.I hope u ppl.help me and this guy out.I hv tried different settings.All of my settings are same as in my other handset.No issue with the settings or the firmware.I m totally blank now what to do.Kindly help me on this one.Could not find a better place to put my question.Any technical help would be really appreciated.

Maybe you can flash your old radio from previous rom where LTE works? Did you try flashing roms before it happened?

I tried flashing the same rom 5.1.1 but no luck :/
Ite was working on the same rom as i didnt updated or did anything
Suddenly it disappeared :/
The same problem mentioned above by john_sparrow
As i cant downgrade from 5.1.1
