Hi guys! I was running MIUI and got used to the 2g/3g Toggle which is great for battery life! Is there a way I can get that on a Stock ICS for AT&T Atrix 2?

I already have that, thank you anyways. Maybe I wasn't clear as english isn't my main language. What I meant was something that lets you pick between Edge or 3g, so when you're running low on battery you use Edge, which is slower but drains less battery. Or when you need speed, you use 3g which is faster but drains more battery.

hey Super_Commando, Thank you for your reply, but I'm on stock ICS, and I think the rom doesnt support it as there's no such option on the Data settings,. I need to know if there's a way to aquire that functionality by flashing a zip to my phone.

Sometimes i will have shorter battery life than that, but that is with pretty heavy use.
Please post in threads that are already there.
hi everyone,
this is actually directed to Jscott, regarding the ethereal last build 1.2
my question is:
I was using your stock at&t gb with root and cwm.
specifically your option 3 in the threar you posted over in development,
a few days ago ive been using the ethereal rom v1.2
ive been experiencing some differences vrs the stock gb uclb3.
is it possible that battery life is shortened with your rom?
could this be because of the kernel change? (stock has entropy's dd, ethereal infuzion core a)
lets assume kernel could be the cause, is it possible to flash entropys kernel into the ethereal rom? would it affect its performance?
lidroid toggles work partially in some cases, like flashlight wont turn on sometimes.
can the rom have issues regarding the response of the screen, in some cases it seems to fail to respond. have to push my finger a lil bit more to the screen.
im very new to this area of flashing roms and stuff. just wanted to say ethereal is very cool, you did a very nice job with this! thanks!
Since you directed your question to..the op of this ROM, question relayed....

Glad you're enjoying Ethereal. I'll tell you a little "secret". Ethereal is Option C from the Odin UCLB3 packages I put together. A few images and graphical values have been changed to make it look more custom, the launcher has been changed to AOSP, and lidroid toggles have been added. If lidroid toggles get a little wonky, as they have from time to time in most custom roms, a reboot should clear things up. As for battery use, I've had about the same for both stock and Ethereal. Most have reported good battery stats on the rom, but your mileage may vary based on how you use the phone and what apps you use. You may notice a slight difference when using Entropy512's daily driver kernel, as it was designed to provide good battery life. You can flash it with this rom if you would like to test. If you aren't comfortable flashing kernels, you may want to give Zen Arcade's Infuse Toolkit a try. It gives the option to try different kernels.

can I flash the kernel same way as in the post you made about using different kernels?
it's impressive it is option c. in performance they have alot of difference, ethereal has no lag whatsoever.
thats why I was asking if I change to entropy512 dd from infuzion, would that affect ethereals performance?

I personally get good performance with Entropy512's daily driver and Ethereal, and you can use any of the kernel flash methods (easiest being SGS Kernel Flasher from the Play store).

You can see the kernel information in Settings / About Phone. The kernel info is the same for both Zen's Infusion-Z and Entropy's Daily Driver since they are based on the same kernel. For battery life, I can get about a day and a half if I hardly use the phone. With moderate use, I have to plug it in when I go to sleep each night. That's about as good as I get for battery life on stock, on UCLB3 based custom roms, and on CM9. This is with keeping the phone in airplane mode and with wifi on when there is bad cell reception. This phone eats up battery when it searches for cell towers and can't find one. I also keep my screen as dim as possible, unless I'm outdoors, keep GPS off unless needed, and keep auto-rotation off unless needed. If I have a day where I use the phone heavily, and the screen is on for several hours at a time, I get about eight or nine hours, but top it off at work or in the car to make it through the day. This is pretty average for most modern smart phones.

Yeah, I've seen this also. The only way to make that not happen is if I go in and change the remaining stock icons to match the ones that I've already modified. I'll get to that eventually.

Just fixed this, by the way, and will get an update out in the next day or so. There are a few other things I want to work on before putting out another release.
I have to applaud HTC for somewhat following development of their device. They added a toggle to change the behavior of the recent app button so there's no need to mod it. On CR 4.5 I also have 770mb of ram visible. Maybe they did some optimization. Even multitasking is a tad better without Scott's multitasking mod.
I have a bug that shows "G" when I'm on HSPA+ but doesn't really affect speeds.
Overall I would say this OTA is quite good. The overall feel is much snappier.
Edit: ok, so the multitasking is pretty boss so far. The last 4 apps were still cached after not touching phone for 30 minutes. It COULD be placebo but god damn I'm enjoying 4.0.4.

I'm happy to see this review, as I'm planning on upgrading from CleanROM 4.2 to 4.5 asap. However, I'm not sure that this mini-review is so much about the newest Sense as it is about CleanROM. How can you be sure that the upgrades that you're noticing aren't from Scott's work, not baked into Sense?
The recent button behavior swap is new from stock 4.0.4. The RAM increase has to be from HTC directly because we have no kernel source.
As for multitasking, I'm doing a little bit of assuming. Scott likes to put his mods separate from the rom itself so people can choose what they like. Only EQS, 4G icon and some ATT specific mods were included in the CleanMod install. On top of that, this is the best multitasking I've seen on any rom. If Scott DID do something with the multitasking I'll be glad to be corrected.
Either way, everyone wins with this update.
EDIT: HSPA+ with 2.09 radio, I'm getting speeds I normally get on speed test. I hear people have problems with LTE? Not sure.

I used stock 2.23, I can confirm those sense options are from stock. Also, I noticed the interfacei n general is much smoother and snappier. They also added a fade effect when turning pages on the home screen which is nice.
So wait, HTC freed up about 100mb of RAM with this latest leak? That's awesome! I think I'm gonna have to update my ROM now, still on CleanROM SE 2.6.

I think that's just gravy. No 4.0.3 based rom even comes close to the multitasking that the leaked 4.0.4 has. They must have tweaked their extremely aggressive memory management to allow much better memory management. Of course YMMV, but I've just been testing it over the course of the day. Most of the apps within the first 4-5 slots can get cached no problem if you press home.
People complain, but this might be the reason why HTC have not released their kernel. HOX IS their flagship, so maybe they didn't want to release a crippled kernel for HOXL users. I'm very impressed that they are listening to community feedback.
How's battery life with the multitasking change?

To be perfectly honest, I haven't tried Codename-- yet-- because I'm already happy with the Nexus Beam ROM.
It has decent WiFi strength & solid battery performance.
I might give the other a try-- if I get bored with Nexus-- but I certainly don't feel like I NEED to do it any time soon.
Codename is prettier than Nexus Beam and also SEEMS faster and smoother, but both are slower than GB. I think whoever programmed ICS put kludge routines in the kernel to induce people to buy faster phones. NOT OUR DEVS! some technicians at Google, I suppose. Hint though -- kernel needs overclocking added.
Notes about 'awake' time between these 2 roms:
Codename build-1 kept 'awake' all the time, Beam pre-final is better, but still on and off for 'awake', longer for 'on' than 'off'. Codename build-2&3 got into deep sleep with no 'awake'. So, in terms of battery performance, recommend to go with Codename build-3, also better than other ics roms.
PS phone condition for the comparison: during the night time, wifi off, data off, airplane mode off.
Trying out code name to see how it runs

Baked black bean is my favorite atm, Dark jelly isn't bad. Haven't tried the cm10 nightlies because they're inherently glitchy. Not a big fan of paranoid just because of it's set up. AOKP is pretty good but doesn't measure up with dark jelly and baked in my opinion.

Same here, seems to be a problem with my wireless N networks. My wireless G network works fine, at full speed. My wireless N seems to be stuck at 1mbps, and lags horribly with anything I try to use on it. Same with 2 wireless access points, both from different brands.
