Diztronic vs i-Blason vs Cimo TPU cases

Let me start by saying the Diztronic TPU is amazing and absolutely perfect in every way, except one. The top and bottom chrome bezel are getting scratched by the sharp edges of the case. It's not from dirt and dust or just rubber marks, they're actual little scratches. I'm looking to buy one of the "S-Line" cases (on amazon because I have gift card credit). Others have mentioned that the edge is not as sharp on these and I do not mind the buttons being harder to press. Are the i-Blason and Cimo brands essentially the same or what? The i-Blason looks a little more refined and is rated better. Thanks!
edit: forgot, I have an Ionic guardian and it's great as well, but just too pocket sticky for me. Definitely is great protection though.

The bezel is so weak it even scratches by sliding the phone in and out of your pocket. So, not a big deal imho!

I've read threads of many other people complaining about the same issue. Even the Diztronic store on amazon has complaints of it. I remember having this issue with their cases on my Galaxy Nexus as well.
If your bezel isn't scratched yet, consider yourself lucky.
However, aside from that the Diztronic is the most solid TPU case you will find.

edit: forgot, I have an Ionic guardian and it's great as well, but just too pocket sticky for me. Definitely is great protection though.

I disagree, my phone simply does not get exposed to dirt or sand that would scratch. Take of the case and rub your finger just inside the top and bottom inside edge of it. It's fairly sharp for TPU

TPU is just plastic, it won't scratch other plastic. That would be a horrible feature for a case lol.

i have both diztronic and i-blason.
i like the diztronic better. the i-blason is softer but it fits loose. diztronic fits like a glove. you will get more dirt/grit/crap between your phone and the i-blason case due to its fitment.
from all the phones ive owned with a shiney bezel, they all get micro scratches on them. theres no avoiding it unless you get a full body cover like xoskin/xtremeguard/bodyarmors/etc that covers the bezel. just use your phone as intended. any cases will get crap trap between your phone and case. just be sure to take it off regularly to clean it out.

I have the diztronic case on my n4 and the quality and fit is outstanding. I bought it off eBay and had it shipped to the UK from the States and it was still cheaper by a long shot than anything available here in the UK.
I use it with an invisible shield front and back protector and although it was fiddly getting it on and making sure the screen protector didn't lift, its now on and I have no lift at all.

I can too say that diztronic is the best tpu out there.

Because different types of plastic can't have different levels of hardness and different surface finishes (like polished chrome plastic) aren't more vulnerable to scuffing. Yes, they're really small fine scratches but they're there and I wasn't expecting them.

I have a Diztronic case and the fit is prefect. No scratching at all. The only issue I have is the screen protector lifts when the case goes on or off. The film is centered well just for some reason always snags a bit on the bottom corners.

is there really a difference between a 1$ TPU case and all the other ones ? I thought they were all made in the same factory...

just got the same case today, and it's definitely a keeper. I tried the Hyperion and Tudia cases but chose the Diztronic because of fit and finish. i also have a bodyguardz tempered glass protector and it fits with case, meaning no rubbing on the lip. with the protector on, the lip is reduced to about 1/4 mm. i removed the bodyguardz because of poor seal around the edges.

I'm waiting for the XtremeGuard Spartan Glass for mine

I agree with this review. The feel of the material is excellent. It adds just enough texture to make sure it doesn't slip out of your hand, without being so grippy that it is tough to get in and out of pockets. I also agree with the comments on the buttons. I think they have a very nice tactile feel and responsiveness to them. I don't use a case often, but when I'm going to be outside on concrete or setting my phone down where it could get knocked over easily, I like to throw a case on it. This one adds very little bulk so I am pretty happy with it. Like the reviewer, I also wish Diztronic had included a cutout for the Motorola "M" dimple, but it is certainly not a deal breaker.

I got the diztronic case but don't like it. The raised power button keeps on pressing in my pocket and causes the phone to reboot. I actually got a cruzrlite bugdroid circuit one with cutouts for the buttons. This one is just as good as the diztronic one.

[Q] Case vs. Skin vs. naked

Since the S6 is very slippery but very good looking because of the glass, do you use a case because you want to be safe or do you use a skin to retain the phones thin body or you prefer it naked without anything on and around it?

Definitely a case with shock absorbing properties. I'm not spending close to a grand on a glass encased phone just so it can have cracks on it.

I think the phone is gorgeous, but use a Verus aluminum bumper in order to get low drop protection and camera protection while keeping the phone mostly original looking. If it weren't for the protruding camera, I've consider carrying the phone bare. (Though I would be concerned with slippage.)
For comparison, I didn't hate the looks the of the S4, but I wasn't thrilled with them either so I put a Spigen Neo Hybrid on, which gave it a look that I liked more, while still looking like a phone and not a case. (Most people I showed my S4 to loved it and didn't realize it was a case.)
I think it's interesting that you bring this up because I asked a similar question in the "show us your case" thread, and people took offense to what I was asking. My basic question was "Do you use big UAG/Otterbox cases merely for protection, or do you prefer the look over the look of the bare phone." I guess I worded it poorly, as I mostly got defensiveness of case choices. Hopefully your thread gets better responses.
(In my photo below, the difference in screen glare and body color is only from a difference in lighting - I used different setups on different days and didn't match the screen lighting. There is no "glare" from the Verus case.)

(Sounds to me like dropping the phone is a bad idea. )
That would be the risk to not having a potentially unsightly case.

Case + skin. case to protect from falls and skin to protect from scratches

Got both the uag maverick and ash case, prefer the ash on my sapphire black s6, and the maverick on a white s6 both look crazy awesome tho

I use a Dbrand skin and tempered glass screen protector in normal days. Just bought a spigen rugged armour as I'm gonna go on a 3 day camp and I don't wanna risk breaking it.
The dbrand skin should suffice for everyday use. It protects the rear glass from cracking if I ever drop it. And the tempered glass helps with the front glass. The only thing that is unprotected in the event of a drop is my sides.
It's your choice, do you like the feel of the S6 naked? Or would you rather have a cheap piece of TPU protecting it?
Also, if you choose to go naked/skin, the chamfered edges of the aluminium is very soft so it scratches rather easily. You can get a metal bumper to help with drop and impact protection on the sides.

Case. I would consider a skin, but the extra protection is nice. No way I'm carrying this phone naked. Then again, I never carry phones naked anyway.

Dbrand black leather skin on the back, otherwise naked. I hate cases, I'd rather pay for insurance and deductible for replacement than compromise the look and feel of a phone I like.

I just use screen guard both sides it looks and feels good

I had an iron shield on it but removed it about a week ago because the aluminum bumper was killing my GPS signal. Somehow in that week time I got a scratch on my screen. Make sure to put a screen protector on too!

Going naked. I did not pay $650+ to put this in a $5 case. I want to enjoy the phone as it was meant to be. I only have a tampered glass on top and that's good enough for me.

Brand skin with Rhino Shield bumpers

im using melkco italian cowhide leather herman series case , prefer using genuine leather case for my protection rather than back cover case or softcase, anyone fans from using genuine leather case maybe can sharing to me?:good:

Should I get the UAG or a Rhinoshield? (other recommendations welcomed)

I currently have a UAG for my S6 which is in Ash color which is made out of this clear glossy plastic instead of the hard matte poly carbonate on the other non-transparent colors. Of course the reason I got that is because I have butter fingers and I do drop my phone a lot. After just two weeks of usage the case has become super scratched and beaten up. The glossy plastic also sort of creates this oily and greasy feel whenever my hand is sweaty or isn't clean. Other than that I do like the UAG a lot, from the design to the grippy sides it provides. So I might consider my next case being another UAG but in Blue.
However after seeing reviews on youtube on the RhinoShield Crashguard for the S6 I'm really starting to lean towards it due to the protection it provides despite how simple the case is. I'm kind of stuck in a dilemma right now on which one to buy and I don't have enough money to buy both. I also have a lot of dbrand skins for my S6 saved up so I can use the RhinoShield with a skin to protect the back and add some design to it.
I have used cases like the Spigen Neo Hybrid before but I find the amount of width it gives to the side of the phone makes the bezels very big and ugly, so I don't really like those big bulky cases which makes the phone super ugly because it makes the bezels huge.
Anyone has a RhinoShield are welcomed to post pics of their phone with the case on, especially shots which show the front of the device only and how much "side bulk" it adds to the phone.

I use the Spigen Neo Hybrid and its bezel is the same size of the Rhinoshield, it might actually be smaller. If you think that the Neo Hybrid is big and ugly then I am afraid the Rhinoshield is not an option for you. I have a bunch of cases for the S6 and I always go back to the Neo Hybrid because it is always the slimmest.

I have the Rhinoshield crashguard, and prefer my UAG (Maverick) to it. I do really like the Rhinoshield bumper, and it is probably my 2nd favorite case for the S6. However having the back glass exposed always keeps me feeling a bit nervous, and the buttons on the case are a bit too spongy to me.

If you can get one, the Case-Mate Tough may be an option - it's not as wide as the Neo Hybrid (it appears to be 1-2mm skinnier, just like the UAG), and has a textured back shell,while keeping the bezels small. The only downside is that it's thicker on the back than the Neo Hybrid (by 1mm or so), which does a better job protecting the glass and the camera bump.
It also goes on easily - there's the skin part, then the clip on shell part.

Dbrand skin, some questions.

Have anyone tried DBrand skin of Note7?
And how are the edges doing? Are they peeling off?
I like the stone/concrete texture. Is it smooth/plastic feel, or like real semi-gloss concrete?
What about metal? Are the titanium strips bumpy or just printed texture?
What about wood? Or Matte?
*Extra question: Is sandstone case available for Note 7 yet?

I currently on a s7 edge dbrand skin. I would think the note 7s dbrand skin would be a little similar. I have the matte on the front and back. Fits perfectly and it wraps around the edge perfectly. My front skin actually covers up the front buttons so I can't even see them when they light up.

I have the carbon fiber back only. Fits perfect and has not peeled or bubbled at all. Fit is to the nanometer, so it took a couple tries to align it right. Follow online video instructions. Very happy with it! Carbon fiber gives it a little texture to give it some better grip. Note 7 ATT black.

I really like the concrete one. But im not sure if the grip feeling is 80% like real polished concrete or not. I dont dare to order if im not sure because order to my country is expensive AF. Couldnt find a good concrete review on YT.
Now im looking forward to the titanium ones. Does anyone know if those strips texture bumpy 3D or just printed?

I got the mahogany just to cover the back and protect from scratches. When it's out of the case the corners catch on my palm, when I had a slickwraps skin on my S7E it was a perfect fit. This isn't as smooth and you can tell the difference on the edge because it's too thick.
As for the texture it does have a smooth wood type finish. Not quite raw tree bark, but you can feel it as you pass your finger over.
