As far as I know, there isn't if you didn't make a backup. You can just reflash the ROM without flashing the FXZ though.
Brought to you by time and relative dimensions in space.

Daammmmmmmnnnnn FML! Thanks for the answer tho.

If you back up the top 5 items in your choices (system, Data, Cache, CDrom and forget what the 5th is), you should be ok. Meaning it will save everything as-is at that point. Most important are System and Data (and sd-ext if you have app2ext or Link2sd**this will save your apps too in their partition).
System is all your build props, system apps (if you added or deleted some),...
Data is what it is named for. (sms, playlists, passwords, websites,...)
Not sure why you would want to remove your apps and launcher.
Basically you are making a complete back up so if you do screw something up, you can go back to where you were before the fail. Much like a System Restore Point on Windows (but that is where the similarites end).
I just dident know if apps could mess up the restore of the backup.
thanks

Is it getting stuck at the (M) logo? Which ones did you backup/restore? (boot?, system?, data?, cache? others?) Did you wipe any partitions?

I backup and restore: boot , system. After the restose, I wipe all ,but it only boots to logo M then stop
I was having this problem when all these new ROMs came out and was constantly flashing between them. Try to re-restore it again and then wipe both caches and factory reset. My issue was with the data backup but since you didn't back up the data might be something different with yours.
If all else fail, just flash whatever ROM you started with and start over. Since you didn't save the data part, you'll have to replace all that stuff and modify your /system folder if you did that before.

I really effed up my phone

Tried to root my HTC Inspire, did pretty good at that part. Then I installed a theme I found here (that said it was for my phone) and now can't get past the boot screen. I've done factory reset, data reset, cache reset, davlik reset.. everything.
Is there anything I can do to fix it?
EDIT: and no i didnt have a backup
I had a similar problem after installing a theme. Different phone though. What worked for me: Removing battery for a few seconds, then go through the whole factory reset, cache partition, and Davlik cache wipe routine again.
Ok, I'll try that now. Thanks.
Still the same... I suppose I should just get a new phone
if you can still boot, there's still hope
do you have a custom recovery? if you do, you can transfer a custom rom to your phone and flash it

No I don't
I guess it was my fault for trying to do something I wasn't ready for.. I was just so tired of looking at the same damn skins.
I guess the problem was I installed the Lucid theme without CM7 (stupid I know, I deserve this).

no no.. don't give up hope. If you can still boot there is hope. Here's a link to what may hopefully set your phone straight. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970824

[Q]

I have a second xoom, rooted and rom'd, that I am selling on eBay. I'd like to wipe the little bit of personal data on it. How do I do that properly w/o loosing the rom I have. I think I need to use cwm?
Also, if the buyer wants the stock hc rom (its a 3g version), how would I do that properly?
Sorry, I forgot the title ...

Just do a wipe data/factory reset from the recovery menu. Rom /root should not be affected.
weird, that didn't seem to work. My Google acct is still there along with the few apps I d/l....
I did the factory reset from the recovery menu...3 times.
What about settings > backup and reset > factory data restore.....?
So, I tried cwm recovery again, the pic is what the xoom told me....how to proceed???
*********
Ok, so I did the proceedure for unlocking the bootloader and that seems to have done the trick.

[Q] G2x stuck on hellfire sign after LG with blue splash

Hey guys, I don't think I did anything weird but anyway. After I get out of Wifi sometimes I have to reboot so the phone can use mobile data, I am on hellfire sandwich btw. So this morning I tried to reboot once I got to school but the phone sometimes freezes while rebooting and I have to take out the battery and same happened this morning. Took out the battery put it back in, started the phone and once it goes to the hellfire logo with orange thing going round and round, it stayed on that screen for about 30 minutes and i tried rebooting several times no luck. :crying: I could get to CWM recovery but is there anyway I can back up my files? I have some really important stuff also could you link me to a solution? Early thanks.
(1) try wiping cache and delvik cache in cwm and fix permissions, then reboot, if that doesn't work, (2) try making a nandroid backup, then wipe everything, then restore, if that doesn't work, (3) try flashing the same rom over your current one, if none of the above work, (4) try flashing a different kernel, or finally (5) try flashing the same rom over your current one.
One of these should work, if none of them do, then you're probably gonna have to wipe everything and flash the rom again, which will cause you to lose all your data.
Good luck
Also try deleting the tweak script in system/etc/init.d use my tool and launch AROMA File Manager, use menu button to select to mount system and data (partitions), then navigate to the folder and delete the one script.

Yeah I think flashing the same rom will solve the problem but one more question, If I just want to flash the same rom do I just delete delvik cache and cache? also will that make me lose data such as like how far I got in angry bird or my pictures or phone numbers? or what does deleting cache and delvik cache delete?

No you won't lose any of the things you mentioned above. It will however reinstall any system apps that you uninstalled. But just to be safe, make a nandroid backup

Flashing same ROM using ODIN deletes user data?

I received the OTA update a couple weeks ago and it installed "N920VVRU3CQB9" (Nougat update). I'm having few issues with the phone where I'm stuck at the login screen with no keyboard (full details here).
My question is - if I flash the same ROM using ODIN, does it wipe all user data (pictures, videos etc)? After flashing the same ROM, does it get stuck in boot loop as it requires going into the recovery mode and selecting "wipe data/factory reset" which deletes everything.
Thank you.

If you flash that it usually does but there's no point in doing that because a factory reset does the same exact thing.. If you're going to flash anything at all or do anything at all to the phone then ENABLE oem unlock in developer options!!
Thank you MrMike2182. If flashing the same ROM as OTA will cause a factory reset. I would lose all my data, right? Is there any way to keep the data?

It depends on what you're trying to do.. When you do an upgrade it preserves your stuff. When you do a downgrade it tends to need a factory reset in order to work.. What I would do in your case is use Smart Switch from Samsung and backup the entire phone and even send any important documents to your computer and do a factory reset anyway that way it's a fresh system install and doesn't have any junk left over from all the other updates and whatnot and then after the factory reset is done just hook the phone back up to Smart Switch on your Windows PC and click restore.. It can pretty much put everything back including apps, music, contacts, documents, home screen theme etc etc. Works pretty good if you ask me.
Do NOT forget to enable OEM unlock!! Seriously.
