Walkman - Xperia S [J.B-4.1.2] for CM 10. - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

This is the Original Walkman Xperia S with ClearAudio + for CM10.
I recommend deleting the DSPManager.Apk and libcyanogen-dsp.so this folder system / lib / soundfx with Root Explorer.
How to Install:
1-Download the file to your sdcard Xperia_Walkman.zip.
2-Add the lines in build.prop:
# System props for audio
persist.audio.fluence.mode=endfire
persist.audio.vr.enable=false
persist.audio.hp=true
# System prop to select audio resampler quality
af.resampler.quality=3
ro.somc.clearphase.supported=true
ro.semc.xloud.supported=true
3-Install Xperia_Walkman.zip using the recovery.

So any new feature ?

i installed om my Xperia Ray but now my smart phone does not have any sound

Failed while installing
Hi dude, I follow your instructions and couldn't complete the installation!! I added the six lines you meant in build.prop
persist.audio.fluence.mode=endfire
persist.audio.vr.enable=false
persist.audio.hp=true
af.resampler.quality=3
ro.somc.clearphase.supported=true
ro.semc.xloud.supported=true
Then I reboot into recoverymode and select the file from your download link, but when applied the installation FAILED. It says: unable to open the .zip file..
I have an Xperia S with CM10 unofficial. (BL is locked, but i can unlocked if needed...)
Thank you!:cyclops:

cool!!!! thanks :good:

READ CAREFULLY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL WILL BE FINE!
§1 Remove ALL Third app equaliser (DSP Manager, Market EQ app,...)
§2 Be sure your ROM don't have any other Sound MOD preinstalled
§3 Download AC!D Audio Engine
(You can choose between AROMA and the standard flashable zip, read careffuly the difference between AROMA and SIMPLE)
§4 ONLY if you downloaded SIMPLE ZIP, download walkman player and (if you want) the addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example)
§5 Put downloaded files in a special folder on your SDCARD (or internal storage), you can create an AC!D Audio folder (will be usefull in the future)
§6 Once you have all needed files on your phone reboot in recovery (CWM)
§7 FIRST WIPE CACHE PARTITION AND DALVIK CACHE!!!
§8a AROMA: only after that if you only downloaded AROMA version just flash it and follow instruction, take time to read (really easy installation with good explaination) (don't care about status 0 error showing at the end of installation just reboot)
<<< Do not follow theses steps if you use AROMA go to step 9>>>
§8b SIMPLE UPDATE ZIP: (Walkman is not compatible with any other addon, so you have to choose between Walkman or one of 4 availble Addon)
- AC!D + Walkman: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, Then if you want Walkman (with clearbass, xloud etc) Flash Walkman Addon and reboot
- AC!D + ADDON: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, (DO NOT FLASH WALKMAN!!!), and then flash the Addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example) and reboot
<<<>>>
§9 open an explorer (I recommand Root Explorer) and verify if build.prop lines where added (Go to /system/ and open build.prop file look at the end of this file)
§10 if lines where added correctly just reboot if not add them manually

2) How to use superchargerv6 script --> Open SManager, touch browse as root, hit back two times then go to system-->xbin-->superchargerv6.sh--> touch the su icon (make sure it is green) --> touch run. go through the script. Then choose the 9th option at the driver's console. Then choose the SuperClean and Restart Option. Alcatel OneTouch 5035 X'POP thread

Introduction
This is a new thread for AOT 5035.I started it,because there isn't any complete thread for our phone.I want to post my experience,ROOT guide,recoveries,tweaks,engines,...and maybe later a custom ROM
Disclaimer
Immediatelly on the beginning I have to tell you,that I've tried all of the recoveries,guides etc.,which I've posted here,BUT:I have AOT 5035D,so it may not be working on other 5035 device.You should have at least basic knowledge about what are you doing and necessary terminology! You're doing everything on your own risk! I'm not responsible for any bricked or damaged devices,degraded batteries or SD cards.It's recommended to do a full backup before aplying tweaks! If you don't understand anything,contact me immediatelly!
If you have some advice or objection,write a comment or contact me on e-mail or FB.Your response is welcome.
I greatly recommend to begin a member of the usergroup on facebook (I'm a new xda member,so I can'give you the link )
Alcatel 5035 X'POP thread
ROOT
I probably don't have to explain you why root your phone.If you don't know why do not root!
There is a guide on xda but I found it too difficult.Other posibility is root through Baidu root,which is an android app.The only problem is,that the app is in chinese language,but if you are clever,you'll success.The last method is the easiest and most comfortable:Kingo Android Root.This is a user-frindly program for MS Windows.
Guidelug your phone to computer via USB and let it instal phone drivers.Download and instal Kingo root.Run the Kingo root.It automaticly detects your device.Hit "ROOT" button and wait until it reboots your phone.Go to the app drawer in the phone.If you find "SuperSU" app,you were successfull! There are also other posibilities:Framaroot,OneClick root but I wasn't successfull with them...
Alcatel 5035 X'POP thread
Recovery
There are lots of recoveries,but I recomend the two most famous:CWM and TWRP.You must have CWM for flashing most of 5035 ROMs but if you want to do a nandroid backup of your current ROM,you need TWRP!
How to flash recovery:It's very easy:
1.Go to Google Play and download [ROOT] Rashr flash tool.apk (or you can use Recovery flasher utility)
2.Download the recovery file on SD card
3.Open Rashr,grant it su permission
4.Hit "Flash recovery>Other from sdcard
5.Choose the recovery file
6.It asks you if you want to flash it>hit "Yes,please"
7.Wait until it flashes it
8.It says Recovery flashed! and asks you if you want to reboot into recovery>Hit "Yes,please"
9.If the phone rebooted to the recovery,you were sucessfull...YEAH!
If the flashing process failed,try it again and if you aren't sucessfull again try another recovery.You can download CWM and TWRP from here and I also uploaded Carliv touch recovery. Carliv Recovery is very good because you can use it both for nandroid backup and for flashing. On the other hand, this recovery was a little buggy on my phone...

Build.prop tweaks
Build.prop is a system configuration file. You can find it in /system partition but in some cases (e.g.: Stock ROM) the build.prop file is also in the /custpack partition so don't forget to add these commands to both of these files! Adding the following commands there, you can enjoy better performance of your phone Copy these commands from below, open an file manager (I recommend X-Plore, Total commander or ROOT Explorer), find build.prop, long prsss on the file, choose "Edit text" and paste those commands on the end of the build.prop, save all changes and reboot your phone. You should notice that your phone is smoother and the graphic performance is better

Sound improvement
There are lots of sound tweaks and mods on the Internet, but the improvement isn't very noticeable.After a long time of searching and experimenting I found Viper4Android app.You need ROOT and Busybox installed on your phone.You can download the latest version of the app from here.For instalation you have to allow non-Google Play apps installation (Settings>Location&Security>Non-Play store apps allowed).When you open the app,you have to grant it SU permissions,then the app asks you for instal sound drivers.Choose Best quality,it hasn't significant battery consumption,believe me .Then reboot your phone,open Viper app and set the sound as you like.
Stock ROM ?
Does anyone have here a original stock ROM if anything goes wrong so it can be flashed and returned to default state ?

[GUIDE][Noobs]How to Create your own stock based XPERIA ROM

Hey Guys,
My name is Braa, I’am just a new developer here in the XDA and today I’am going to show you a complete guide on how to make your own “XPERIA” Stock Based ROM.
First of all you have to get the Stock XPERIA Firmware of your device
Let’s get started to build our ROM:
First Step: (Getting the STOCK FTF File of your Device)
1) Get the latest stock FTF Firmware of your device
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
2) Open it using 7-ZIP
3) Now we will be focusing on the most important file “system.sin” Just Extract it to your desktop
4)Now go to the XPERIA Flashtool  Tools  Sin Editor   Choose the system.sin file you have just extracted to your desktop Extract Data
5)Now you will have a file called “system.ext4”
6)Get a tool called “EXT4 Unpacker” then select that file  Extract all the files into a folder
Congrlatiouns you have got your stock device firmware but not in the form of “FTF” instead in the form of “ZIP”
But this was not everything we will now move into more advanced part but don’t panic everything will be explained easily with screenshots so, Let’s GO !
Understanding the System folder you have just extracted
System Folder Contains the Majority of ROM Files, now we have to explain the SYSTEM Folder structure
1. app : contain all the system's app and the odex file of system app
2. bin : contain the command and bin files for the rom
3. vendor: specified vendor system. you have your specific vendor's app, libs, and config files here also contains the Themes (XPERIA 2011-2012 Devices)
4. etc : additional setting and files for the ROM.
5. font : It’s Clear it contains the fonts
6. framework : system's framework files and the odex file for framework
7. lib : drivers, modules, kernel related files for the rom
8. media: media files-ringtones, notification, bootanimation.
10. usr : files needed for keyboard, bluetooth, etc.
11. xbin : additional command and bin files (busybox is usually installed here)
12. build.prop file : Contains your Device default properties
Q)DEODEX VS ODEX
A)Most of custom rom available is deodexed rom while our stock rom is half deodexed rom. I'll try to explain it in most simple way. First of all, we should understand that mostly every app in android consist of three part, *apk files, *dex/odex files, and lib files.
ODEXED rom means that *dex file needed to run the app is extracted from the apk file and placed in same folder with the apk files (/system/app). the positive side, it consume less internal memory and a execute faster. the negative side, it makes the app uncostumizable (cannot apply custom themes) and need more space in system partition.
DEODEXED rom means that *dex file needed to run the app is extracted from the apk file and placed in /data/dalvik-cache. the positive side, the app can be themed (full customizable) and consume less system partition. we could put more app in /system/app in deodexed rom. the negative side, it consume a lot of internal memory. please be cautious with the internal memory space if you use deodexed rom. (NOTE: if you start from stock rom, you may use Kitchen to convert odexed to deodexed rom).
Now if you want a really looking good Ui ROM u will stick into DeOdexing your ROM
Note: What was explained above in the part of ODEX VS DEODEX doesn’t mean that DeOdexing ROM will decrease it’s Performance
Q)How to DeOdex My ROM ?
A)Bro, This could be done using many tools like (Universal DeOdexer or DsiXda Kitchen)
Now I will explain the Dsixda kitchen method
Tools Needed:
Cygwin
JDK
Android Kitchen
Steps:
1)Extract Cygwin.zip  Run Setup.exe  Next  Install from local directory  Set the root directory as it  Set the local package directory as cygwin_packages  Select that reload icon and install all
2)Now Click on Cygwin icon on desktop you will see that commands appear automaticly
3)Now Extract the kitchen Android-Kitchen-0.224.zip then rename it to “kitchen” (without the quotations)
4)Then copy that folder into c:/Cygwin  home  your username folder
5)Open the cygwin and write these commnds
6)Cd kitchen  ./menu
7) Just compress the system folder we have just extracted from the ext4 unpacker into ZIP File
8)Now copy that file to C:\cygwin\home\Your username\kitchen\original_update
9)Open the cygwin  then write the kitchen commands I’ve mentioned above
10)Select “Set up working folder of your ROM”  Press Enter  Select the zip you compressed  It will ask you to add a null boot.img agree to this
11)Select the “Advanced Options”  Select De-Odex files in your ROM  Select “b” DeOdex both folders (Recommended) wait till the process finishes
Updater Script ! (Nightmare to a lot of noobs)
Sorry Guys I can’t help you with this part  even my updater-script in my ROM I forgot how I did it here is it you can base your updater-script on it
Just download it !
WE’VE Done this part !
Modifying your ROM
1)Adding Tweaks
1.1)Adding init.d Support

Q)How can I add these lines to my build.prop
A)I will tell you
Download a tool called “Notepad++”
Extract the build.prop file from your ROM then right click on it then edit with notepad++
Go to Last line:
Then add
# Tweak Name
Tweak Properties
#
Done
Here’s my build.prop I used in my ROM: its just a sample copy what you want from it
2)Bravia Engine 2 with X-Reality
Download the file of BE-2 then paste it in your ROM then add these lines to build.prop
# X-Reality Engine
ro.service.swiqi2.supported = true
persist.service.swiqi2.enable = 1
#
ro.service.swiqi3.supported = true
persist.service.swiqi3.enable = 1
#
3) Modifying the wallpapers of the ROM
Go to etc\customization\content\com\sonyericsson\wallpaperpicker\wallpapers
Then Add your Wallpapers
4) Modifying the Themes
system\vendor\overlay\framework
Themes are found here
In newer XPERIA Devices Themes are found in /app
5) Adding Supercharger intiries
Just add these lines to your build.prop
# V6 SuperCharger, OOM Grouping & Priority Fixes created by zeppelinrox.
# DO NOT DELETE COMMENTS. DELETING COMMENTS WILL BREAK UNINSTALL ROUTINE!
# BEGIN OOM_MEM_Settings
ro.FOREGROUND_APP_MEM=1536

ro.HIDDEN_APP_MIN_ADJ=12
ro.EMPTY_APP_ADJ=15
# END OOM_ADJ_Settings
# End of V6 SuperCharged Entries
6) Making your Apptray Transparent
Just Replace the apptray_pane_bg.9.png I provided to your Home.apk in store mode
7) Changing the bootanimation (HDPI)
XPERIA Z1
XPERIA Z2
8) Media not scanned or No pictures found here’s the solution
Download Rescan media root and put it in data folder of your ROM
Nice Tip:CFQ Scheduler Makes the Media scanning process slow, Just Stick into SIO or deadline
If you are on 4.1.2 and HDPI Device (Maybe works on XHDPI or MDPI)
So my ROM “Doomsday” is open source for you, it contains full XPERIA Z2 Ui just take the download link from my signature then download it and take what you need from it but don’t forget to give me the proper credits and press thanks for me
Thread will be updated soon :laugh:[/FONT]

there is no need for doomsday in XE Development
you can consider dRz as an initial release for Doomsday for XE
and im always with contact with him about porting some stuff from doomsday to dRz

- Added themed TW Launcher back
v1.5 Changelog 7/19/2014
- Remove V4A until I can figure out the issue with playback
- Fix battery drain (Me and a few others are having this issue)
- Incorporate toggles so you don't have to flash an additional .zip
- Remove Fly-On MOD (I havent noticed a difference and this one or other MODS can be manually installed via flashing zip in recovery if you want)
- Add wallpaper picker back so it can be set through settings
- Add stock clock (I use this for alarms as well)
- Move dalvik to cache
- Dalvik VM optimization
- Battery life expansion tweak
- Better LMK configuration
- Internet speed tweaks
- Sdcard read-ahead optimization
- Zipalign on boot
v1.4 was not released
v1.3 Changelog 7/16/2014!
- Debloated more.. Its now only 475mb!!!
- Settings FC on Reboot is Fixed!
- Added Now Browser (Less than 200kb in size)
- Added Download Booster back
- Added Call Recording MOD
- Added 4-Way Reboot MOD
- Added Download Booster, Flashlight & Hotspot Toggles.zip (Flash after first boot for now)
- Added Exchange MOD (For you Syn Ack lol)
- Added Themed Phone/Log/Contacts (Darker)
v1.2 7/13/2014 ~509mb
-Remove Download Booster to make native hotspot work again. (You can follow the steps to make download booster work in that thread.)
-Remove more bloat!
-Change ro.build.version.codename=L to ro.build.version.codename=REL in build.prop to fix some compatibility issues with some apk's. Also, there wasn't much of a difference at all in appearance.
-Add "Now Browser" with Material Look. This browser can be downloaded from the Play Store as well. The reason is because it is less than 200kb in size and works wonders!
-Add Adobe Flash Player (to make flash videos work in browser.)
-Add Adaway (to remove pesky ads from websites and apk's.)
-Add Fly-On Mod/Tweaks into ROM. (I have tested on my device for a day now and it really does help!) Will be added once I get permission from the creator of the MOD.
-Mod includes the following:
~Full Memory Management
~Linux kernel tweaks and improvements for better performance and battery life
~Entropy Generator Engine to reduce lags
~Zipalign apps in /system and /data every 48hrs to help reduce RAM usage
~SQLite optimizations and faster database access
~CPU Governors tweaks and improvements for better performance and battery life
~Increased SD Card read-ahead cache to 2048
~Ad Blocking (paired with Adaway)
~Build.prop tweaks and improvements
~Cleans log files and tombstones on every boot
~Many other tweaks for better performance and battery life!
-Possible am going to replace the Android L launcher with a themed Nova Launcher (is lighter than Android L launcher and more themed with more options overall.)
v1.1: 7/5/2014
-Added download booster (need to flash Slym Hydes db toggle AFTER first boot or follow instruction from original MOD post to turn it on with a shortcut)
-Added Viper4Android (Open app after install, install driver then reboot and enjoy better audio!)
-Removed some more bloat!
v1.0:
Initial Release
To Do List:
-Possibly some more debloating (I know there are some Lib files I can remove)
-Theme (WIP, I just barely had time to dive in to it after making v1.2 of the ROM but so far just have all the tools necessary and need to find time outside of work to start diving in)
Wierd issue with delay in calls coming in (Should be fixed in v1.2, Let me know if there is still a lag)
Add-Ons:
These add-ons are for Lollipop builds and need to be flashed in SafeStrap Recovery either immediately after the ROM is flashed or by these instructions if you are already on Lollipop:
1) Download the add-on/s you are wanting to flash and put it on your ext-sd or internal sd storage
2) Odin a 4.4.x kernel to get into Safestrap Recovery
3) Flash the add-on/s as you would normally flash anything in SafeStrap
4) Press home, then reboot and select download mode
5) Odin the stock OA8 Kernel only and reboot
6) Enjoy!
Stock Samsung Keyboard (uploaded 3/14/2015)

Downloading now will let you now can't wait..
So far this is EXCELLENT. Lightweight, only 700MB RAM in use. Very fast. Will flash corporate email apk, the rest can be downloaded. So far so good.
Odex is uploading now.. its ~660mb

I'm not completely familiar with everything.... but is there a way to use this ROM with Xposed framework? I would really like a light-weight, highly customizable ROM and it seems like that combination would work. Again I'm probably thinking of the impossible in that.

Should still work. I haven't tested it yet (waiting a little bit) but I am on a debloated deodexed ROM right now using Xposed. Picture attached shows my notifications modified with Xposed.

It is absolutely possible.. It's not included in the ROM but you can install the xposed framework and then use Wanam if you want or other xposed modules just fine! The ROM is barebone basically so its a clean slate for you to play with and adjust to your liking!

That's what I was afraid of..I use mine a lot cus my wife went out an bought me a Bluetooth sound bar an wen ever I connect my phone it sound really bad choppy, breaking up.. I might have to Odin back to stock on take it in thought it might go away as soon as some customs roms come around but hasn't.. Thank you

I'm not completely familiar with everything.... but is there a way to use this ROM with Xposed framework? I would really like a light-weight, highly customizable ROM and it seems like that combination would work. Again I'm probably thinking of the impossible in that.

I've also installed Xposed with Wanam with no issues. Just make sure you download Xposed from the XDA forums.

It is absolutely possible.. It's not included in the ROM but you can install the xposed framework and then use Wanam if you want or other xposed modules just fine! The ROM is barebone basically so its a clean slate for you to play with and adjust to your liking!
