Going from an HTC One M9 to an LG G4, I was frustrated beyond words at how bad the headphone audio was. This app not only worked with the stock audio player, it also worked with Spotify, Pandora and Google Music. It's as close as my G4 can get to the Boomsound audio that the HTC M9 is known for. Thank you very much to the developer who made this app!

Great looking equalizer, been looking for one, too bad the promo codes seems to have expired. But will try out the free version!

Whenever I hook up my headphones to listen to any podcasts, talk show I get muffled sound through the headphones. If I disconnect the headphones and let it run through speakers, it sounds just fine.
Scenarios I ran:
- Listening to music from stored mp3's (128 kbps) are just fine and I can hear the lyrics and music alright.
- Streaming a talk/lecture, or netflix, sound (dialogues) are muffled.
Possibilities:
- Last week I had installed Volume+ and Equalizer and messed arround with them for a while and possibly these apps changed some SFX settings ?
- I may have accidentaly turned on the noise suppression feature (Not even sure if it is available)
How do I reset all my sound output ?
Thanks..
Update:
I found that it definitely had something to do with the sound fx apps that I had messed around with and later uninstalled. Some changes should be in effect even after I uninstalled them. So I reinstalled Equalizer and Volume+ and tried to undo everything I had done before. But nothing changed.
However, I found that equalizer app has a power button that enables some more effects (by default they are disabled) and are active only when they are selected and headphones are inserted. These settings were at 0%
- Bass booster
- Virtualizer (intensity)
- Reverb
I have moved everything to 100%, disabled these options again. And the muffled dialoges are GONE. Now these settings seem to stay at 100% but if I uninstall equalizer app, I am back to the muffled sound problem. These settings must be reset to 0%.
So I did find the solution but it is incomplete. I would still like to get rid of equalizer app (or any sound fx app) but reset the sound to default mode as it was before... Any suggestions ?
Remove those and try voodoo control app and dsp manager inside of dsp set the equalizer like the screenshots below

Try beats head phone...
Beats headphones? Typical headphone recommendation
Did you try PowerAMP(I use this) or PlayerPro with DSP Plugin? It has better sound than Stock Music, Google Music, or anything that needs DSP Manager to mod sound output. Just my opinion...

Hi,
I'm currently using this setup with in-ear headphones:
- Player: PowerAMP (see screenshots for my setup)
- Effects: DSP Manager (or Awesome Beats) (again: see above screens for setup
I use these settings and audio quality is good. If you hear too much bass or high freq, just play with these values to find your perfect setup.
In the first screenshot of poweramp I didn't included all the equalizer because I'm using a default preset that you have to choose.
The profile name is shown on screenshot.
The headphones that I use are the CellularLine Mosquito.
IMO them has a great quality and a low price (I bought them for about 20€).
They also has a mic that works good while calling.

DSP Manager is CyanogenMod's Audio Engine pre CM12. It has superb Bass and and a great equalizer which can be configured for crisp and wonderful Audio. Loudness Compensation ensures you get loud stereo audio on both speakers and Head/Earphones. I ported this DSP Manager from CM11 and tweaked and edited some of the values found on the libs. I am certain this would bring better/louder audio than stock audio on Lollipop firmware.

There are a few problems with this mod. The loudspeaker options don't work, some of the headphone options like loudness compensation take no effect so the mod is useless.
Hi people, this it's my first contribute for the poco community. I really miss Arise4Android but I don't want rooting my F1 (for now), whatever, searching for the better equalizer without root I found this app on a Moto G thread (¯\_(ツ)_/¯) and works well!!
FOCUS, the buttons don't got any animation, your only guide to know if it's running it's your ears (and the notification bar icon). I know, it's not the better option for increase the audio quality, but without root it's complicated found better options.
Tested on stable pie with my edifier oxygen earphones. Flat preset for me it's the best. Recommended lock it on recents and deactivate the battery saver for stay in background.

Thanks for the app, but this app just controls the built-in equalizer that you can easily adjust from "headphones & audio effects“ settings (image no.2) or from settings of any audio player such as Sony music (image no.1) or mi music player (image no.3).

Mmmm, i'm not sure for what, but in my poco the stock equalizer ever stay deadctive, Bluetooth or wired earphones, can't set anything and it's for that I'm looking every option as exist. Can be because I set Spain in region?
I also have the same problem with my POCOPHONE F1.
I'm in UK. Tried so many things to get a better equalized sound, but still no joy!
Grateful for any advice on how to get a better sound like with my previous old HTC ONE X with BEATS sound which gave a much superior sound than the POCO!

If you want better audio quality without root with Bluetooth earphones this it's the best option, if want equalizer with cable you can choose the Miui Equalizer, but if you want more volume download Goodev volume amplifier from Playstore.
For a long time I had been looking for a music player that was simple, universal, lightweight, elegant, practical and ad-free, a music player that you could actually put in your custom ROM or just install it to replace the ugly Android stock music player that your phone manufacturer keeps including in every new release for some reason.
The fact is that the other day while I was repairing a Huawei Y5 2018, I noticed the existence of 2 firmware variants, one for the 1GB RAM version and one for the 2GB version, the 1GB variant included an ugly Android stock music player, while the 2 GB variant included a surprisingly cute and stylized music player with transparency effects that featured:
- Volume control on play screen
- Adaptive colors that change depending on the cover
- Song filter
- Off timer
- Support for lyrics
- Wide screen mode
- On some devices, the cover will replace the lock screen image
The first thing I did was to test the compatibility with other android devices, the Y5 2018 uses MTK 64 bit processor running Andorid 8.1.0, so I grabbed my Lenovo tablet with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 32 bit processor running Android 6.0.1 and tried to install it on it, and... it worked!
You can download it right now by clicking here

(One more thing, if you close the app the music will stop, so make sure you lock it).
The music app is really good and simple and thanks
So I have an issue I have docomo dtab d 01j or Huawei m3,which already has a stock music player exactly same as yours but it is v7 something and the issue is whenever I am listening to music and turn my screen off the music player hangs with a strange noise it only happens when I turn off the screen plzz help
