Hi,
what is the best rom for galaxy tab 2 7'' ?
Thanks
The best ROM is the one you prefer. Not the one someone else prefers. And we have no clue what you prefer. Read and try the ROMs. There are not that many. Decide for yourself.
Since your slightly new here, grab something to drink and have a seat in a comfy chair. You have a lot of reading up to do to see which sounds best. I have the same tab and thought about a custom rom. But i decided to just use a stock rooted rom and removed all the unnecessary bloat apps and installed a nice launcher with a dock. Runs great, great battery, and looks nice.

Hello everyone,
I just switch from ipad 4 to galgaxy note 10.1. The S-pen function really impressed me. Can someone recommend the best custom rom ? I prefer jelly bean's.
That's a personal personal preference, but there's a couple of roms in the dev forum... Take a look in those threads and see what people are saying...
If you got the 3g variant of the note you have a better chance of finding a rom, especially JB, than if you got a wifi-only version...
I recently switched over from the Galaxy Nexus to the Galaxy S3. As a whole I love this phone, however I was a big fan of the pure Android appearence of the Nexus, I'm not a huge fan of Touchwiz.
I have no experience with rooting a device, installing roms, and all that stuff, but would like to get my S3 to look like my old Nexus. I read through the thread below, and my question is, will that help me achieve what I want?

This may be a stupid question, so excuse my ignorance, and thanks in advance!
havent rooted in 6+ months but that looks to be what youd need.
there is a rom in the original development section that is called "pure google" that you can try! theres a few AOSP roms also.
good luck!
Following that guide will give you a rooted jelly bean stock TOUCHWIZ rom.
Most of the ROMs in android development use Touch wiz.
So here are your options.
1. ( what I would do if i were you.)
Find a launcher on Google play which has features you like. Most these launchers will give you the look of a pure Google experience.
2. Root the device and follow the method you posted.
Install one of the ROMs that looks appealing to you in the Original android development thread.
HOWEVER
If you follow the path of number two, do your research on these ROMs
some do not work perfectly but mainly you can lose your IMEI and put you in roaming.
But don't let me scare you. Many many many people hate touch wiz and CM10.1
Runs perfect for them.
Give it a shot

Good Day,
Look for a Beans 21 ROM for my Note tab, currently using it on my Note II phone, just wondering what the most well rounded ROM is for Note 10.1 that keep SPEN functionality. The only reason I am using this tablet is for when I am on the road I can have customer sign tab if I do not have a printed work order, just would like to ROM up to make it less commercial feeling.
Thanks for any and all recommendations!

Good luck getting an answer. I asked in the Q&A what ppls fav AOSP and stock (debloated) ROMs were and a MOD gave a sarcastic answer about try them all out and whichever one you like best then closed my thread. Many of the XDA MODs are flat out not helpful and are jerks to boot. I'm about to try PAC man 4.3 nightly which is part AOKP, part CM, and part Carbon (I've heard great things about Carbon).. Will let u know how it works when I get it flashed...

I have rooted and tried a few ROM's but I always go back to stock, but........ Revolution HD ROM was my favorite custom ROM. Just make sure you read special notes before you install any ROM because Revolution HD needs you to have "High On Android" Custom recovery to successfully install.
Have you looked at this web page that has video reviews of about 10 ROM's for the Galaxy Note 10.1, you should check it out.
In the end you will have to try a few to see if you like one over the other.
.
Hello. I recently got brave enough to root my Verizon S3. I used Casual and it worked fantastic. Now, I'm looking to run a custom ROM. I tried a ton of different ROMs on my old Captivate, my wife's old Infuse, my Galaxy Pad 10.1, and Asus Transformer Infinity. So one thing I know is that I don't like AOSP. I want to stay with Touchwiz.
I've been browsing the development forums looking at ROMs. For some ROMs it's easy to tell if it's AOSP or Touchwiz. For others, not such much. So I was wondering if there was a list of Touchwiz based ROMs, or if maybe one could be created?
Just off the top of my head:
Bonestock
Jellybeans
Hyperdrive
MOAR
There are many others but the original post in each thread will indicate if it is or not. Look for 4.1.2, or the build number, ie. MF1.

It will have be created it wouldn't take you only have to list the roms with mb1/mf1 firmware as its base.
So I'm in the market for a new tablet, and don't really want to shell out too much. I have the nexus 7, but I find the screen estate to be not enough, and so I thought about the note pro 8.4, but I did not like the price nor the design (was never a big samsung fan), and so I saw this motoroala one, but it is quite outdated.
If I got it, I would be installing an AOSP rom, but one look in the dev section of the xoom revealed the lack of roms for the xyboard.
Any thoughts?
I bought it because of build quality and design. It runs Jelly Bean and is smooth. Battery life is ok too.
But there are no roms for it.
I'd say go for it, if you want a beautiful device.
If you want something powerful you should look at something else.
