Antenna Reception

Hi noob here, I just want to ask if there's a way to improve the sensations antenna reception, I have been having inconsistent signal sometimes people will call me and even if my phone is on they said it goes straight to vm due to low signal specially when my phone is idle for a long time. Hope someone can shed a light to my problem.
Note: I already tried warranty exchange and same thing, tmobile signal in our area is very good.

Can I flash a new radio and keep the stock rom? I love how the stock sense that's why I never did try to flash or root my phone yet.

Connection Issues after Rooting

I've rooted my phone using the Ace Hack Kit a month ago and since then I have been having awful times with my 3G connection. I hardly get it, when I'm lucky I get EDGE, and I'm not even talking about callings that were also affected. I've tried several different Radios and I still didn't get a solution. I'm in Brazil and would like to know if there could be any connection of the rooting to the connection problems.
Thanks A LOT!

The root access has nothing to do with the signal strengh. The issue should be something in the hardware rather than the software. Try cleaning the antenna...
Sent from my Inspire 4G using XDA App
Now where exactly do I find the antenna? Is there a special technique to clean it?
Thanks again...

The antenna is under the back cover (where the sim card is)....make sure that the metal contacts are ok...just clean it with alcohol and let it dry...
No luck. Still getting bad connection. So there is NO WAY a software change could have caused it? And if it is a hardware problem could it be that a fall or something like it may have caused it?
Once again thanks for the help...

When you flashed a new radio did you also flash its corresponding ril? That could cause some issues. If so I would go back to stock to see if it still persists

Hey... That IS something... So for each radio I install through Bootloader there's a corresponding RIL that MUST be installed as well?

Well, I'm running Miui 2.2.17 now and I've read here in XDA that Miui roms do not require installimg rils, which is for sense only. Does that make any sense? Thanks A LOT!

Have you tried any other rom other then an MIUI? Might want to give it a shot and see if it helps.
I've already tried MILLION different ROMS... Both Gingerbread and ICS and no success... I'm going nuts with it... =/

Yes that is very possible. If you dropped this phone it could have weakened one of the radio contacts or even possibly damaged a filter cap on the radio circuit. If software isnt changing your results the next logical step is that its hardware related. Also wondering how the 3g coverage is in your area as well.

If you think that is Rom related, go to the ARHD Q&A thread, there you will find answers better than here.

2 things you need:
1. Ask questions in the right area and not overtop of someone else's question. Thats just rude and shows you didnt read or research before asking your question, as i know this has been covered a dozen times.
2. You need the htc sync software on the computer for passthrough to work.

If you haven't touched it yet (software/ROM wise) use your warranty if the phone is still on it.

I live turkie i use to inspire 4g
But your phone 3g mode not use only edge who to make your problem ?
Who to fix my problem
Ideas... Pls thnx
Sent from my Desire HD using xda app-developers app
There is no fix for it. European 3G bands are not compatible with Inspire...they are only compatible with Desire HD.
Thnx for reply but....
Is the software or hardware is? Why change it?
For example, an intervention that can change the radio, I think the kernel

Problem is the hardware, and there is nothing that can be done. The Inspire was intended for the US market only. And we use different radio freqs here.
Thank you for your answer. Then you need to change the machine off and find an old desire hd )) thnxxx

Is it possible to try re updating it with the 4.0.4 update even if we are already on 4.0.4? There could be a chance it didn't download right the first time. But then again I wouldn't know how to do it myself
