[Q] How to delete Superuser - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I had to odin back to stock so that I can send my phone in. I am now unrooted and completely stock but the dang superuser app is still there. Is there any way to delete it?

It's a system app right?

Yes so I think I'm going to have to re root then delete the binaries and the app. Then that should eliminate my root. Correct?

Never mind.....appears all you have to do is go into the app, settings, cleanup, and click unroot and it uninstalls it along with your root..

Because it's a system app ull have to use a root explorer and manually delete the app
If helped don't be afraid to hit the thanks button it doesn't bite lol
and then put SuperSU as a system app. Right?

If you can simply install it I would go that route. Otherwise, yes you can. You will need to change permissions and reboot if you install as a system app.

Never use the stock option to factory reset (through privacy menu or stock recovery) while you're rooted!!!!
Reroot using the method you used before, that should fix it (your phone is actually not rooted it just thinks it is)

Are you rooted? If so delete tethering provisioner in titanium backup and download power toggles app (is a widget) and use that. That's how I did it.

Be a little clearer please.

After accepting the update, cwm fails to install it. I see an error. Which I stated in the op. I'm not dying to get the update but more interested in why its not recognized. Stock/rooted/locked bootchain. For now I just froze the update so I don't get the notification every 30sec.

Ahhh. Its because you have a custom recovery. The MF1 update only seems to work with the stock recovery.

Might also fail if they have a different baseband from their rom base.

Were you able to resolve it? If so what was the issue? I think there is an OTA error log somewhere. Maybe /cache or /fota? I'm not sure where exactly, someone mentioned it before.

Did not solve it, just froze smd for now.

Hmm, do you recall modifying your SystemUI, installed Google Wallet, accidentally uninstall a system app, or make any framework changes? Did you find an error log I mentioned earlier?
Edit: Actually it should help if you try damnyouwaffles' suggestion, you can reflash the stock recovery by downloading EZ Recovery. Unfreeze "smd" and see if that helps.
Yes, I now recall I deleted systemUI.odex in system/app. it fixed an issue I was having with a mod I was doing.

Any way to replace systemUi.odex?
