[Mini Review] Cruzerlite XDA Case

I'm at work so I'll give a quick and dirty on the XDA Dev tpu case from Cruzerlite.
First off, the pics on the site looks like the circuitry was supposed to be goldish, but in reality is more on the maroon side. Not bad, just not like the site IMO.
The openings line up perfectly. The only negative is that there is a slight bubble on the top of the case. Not horrible but it's there. I contacted Joel at AndroidSwag and was told that all cruzerlite case are made by hand and will all have some sort of blemish. And he was giving me a refund for contacting him. Even though I told him not to lol.

Got mine today...loving it. It is very good looking and much more slim than I was expecting. I have the androidified and is slimmer than that. Very nice in the hand. Most importantly... xDA representing!

I know! This tpu is the only one that I have that fit my Seidio Surface holster made for a Gnex :good:

Can't wait for mine to arrive!!

I kind of got the impression that the circuitry was more of a copper color from the website images more so than gold, looks nice though thanks for the detailed review!

No you are correct. More copper than gold. But what I got was more maroon Still looks great, offers more protection than my diztronic ultra hard shell or my poetic palette.
As long as it 1. wirelessly charges with the tpu on and 2. doesn't rise the screen protector and 3. Fits in my Seidio Surface holster made for a Gnex, then I am sold!
My surface seidio HOLSTER made for a N4 is coming this week so It should fit better than now

Just got mine a few hours ago. From the photos, I was expecting a glossy case with a bit more grip. Turns out it is a matte finish almost identical to the Ditztronic matte black tpu case.
The graphics are a lot more subtle than the photos lead you to believe.
With that said, the fit is better than the Ditztronic, and I prefer the cutouts over the buttons instead of Ditztronic's overlays. It's a good case!

Mine was shipped on January 10th and received on Jan 14th preordered it in early Dec so I'm not sure. I do know I made another Cruzerlite order on Jan 8th it was shipped on Jan 11th and received on Jan 14th. You can pay extra for faster shipping i always pick standard first class mail shipping.

I received the bumper case tonight but when I opened the package the rubber back and plastic rim fell apart. I put it back together but it doesn't fit the phone properly and the plastic rim is bowed, due to this when I hold the phone, the sides push on the power button and turn it on and off. It also pushes on the volume rocker and turns the volume up and down on its own.
What next?

Mine says departure scan from Shenzhen China Rep since yesterday.

Ordered a shenit replica bumper from amazon, got it really fast, around 4 days.
I got to say that I am impressed, very good quality, looks like the original, the plastic in the middle is an imitation of aluminium and looks great, never had an official google bumper but from the pictures I can't tell the difference.
It feels great on the phone, though it gets a little bit bulkier, so I can't use the 1£ pleather pouch I bought for it. I usually hate having cases and stuff on my phones but this one really goes well with it.
Now I need to find another pouch.

Pictures please, I still haven't received mine.

Didn't managed to cancel my order for the official one, but received it today nonetheless lol. I think I will keep it, not worth the hassle returning it back.
Funny thing is Google delivered it within 2 days as promised (means nothing), unlike my Nexus which arrived '2 Months' later lol.
So I leave this bumper for others to review.

It says it departed in Columbus at 1am which is a little less than 3 hours from Toledo so I'm hoping they can sort the package as soon as it arrives so it can go out for delivery in the morning

A very Affordable Note 8.0 book cover with sleep/wake function

Let's face it, holding the note 8.0, it doesn't seem like it can take much of an abuse, so a nicely built case/cover is pretty important.
Sadly, the original one costs a small fortune and doesn't exactly feel worth anything near that price. The shop where I bought my note tried to sell me a cheap one saying it is "original", but at 30 USD for a replica I decided not to. Currently, in India, the only place I could find third party covers is eBay. But all of them cost over a 1000 rupees ($20),until a week back.
I was searching eBay for the umpteenth time when I finally found this

Costing just about 10 USD, it seemed pretty good, and the ability to make a stand was much needed. I did find the absence of sleep wake function a bit disappointing, but figured you get what you pay. So Ordered it the same day. The seller FedExed it quickly, and it arrived in a reasonable time.
The packing and the whole cover made me realise it was almost the same cover as the one available at the shop, just a little better quality and much lower price.
It fits perfectly and when I opened it first time after fitting the tablet, it woke up the tablet. I figured I would have mistakenly pressed the power button. Tried again, the same thing happened.
Much to my surprise, the case has a sleep wake function, don't know why it wasn't mentioned by the seller. Any ways, it works great, but sometimes, when you fold the cover completely, the magnet on top goes to the back and again causes the tablet to go back to sleep. Of course you can wake it by pressing a button, but this should be fixed.
It is well built and only adds enough weight to the tablet to give you a sturdy feel. The back is nicely textured with Samsung printed on it

One of the stand angles (but it isn't stable enough to use the S-pen for writing), great for watching movies, TV etc.
Very stable, feels as if built for the S-pen, also easy access to all ports unlike the other position

Be careful that seller is either a fraud or incompetent. I ordered that case and got a lower priced fake case that doesn't even look the same. Same happened to two other forum members. They never even responded to my complaint. I had to get my money back through PayPal. Luckily PayPal did help. Don't be fooled by DX Box.

Agambhandari....i got the exact same case for free with my note 8... My Samsung cafe owner gave it for free.
Nice to have the cover off screen lock feature. .. Only gripe is that does not have the small opening for ear piece on the front cover in case you want to hold it to your head to make a call

Exactly, the only real fault I could find with it. But since, I don't use the tablet as a phone, doesn't really matter to me.

Love Mei Case Review

Hey everyone.
I've had the case for a couple of days now testing it.
I have to day... I love it.
Design:
Stunning. Smooth, solid, heavy and all round perfect. Feels really good in the hands with the rubber and it just feels safe.
Strength:
Stupid. Basically. Chucked in on a very bumpy and stone floor outside a work shop and couple of scratches on the case and that's it. Nothing came off it and sounded like I dropped a brick. Was sanding my mates car and painting it. Left my phone in my pocket and had a few heavy corner hits to it from the car and no damage at all. No paint inside or dust. There was a lot of dust in the shed.
Usability:
If you don't mind the Note 2 size but and thicker then this case will do you fine. No nerves about dropping it into water or anything. Used it in the rain and nothing. (Heavy rain for 10 minutes).
Cons:
In call. People can't hear you very well. The mic is covered by waterproof/resistant sheet which muffles it a lot apparently. If you don't mind talking louder you are fine. My Grandad is 80 and he could hear me.
The WiFi signal is dropped by 2 bars. So I can't use it in my bedroom. But phone signal is not affected.

I got it from eBay for £39.99. I would recommend this case. Not sure what over is like so can't really say if this case is better or not

this isnt the same seller skrappi used, but its where i ordered mine, and its a buit cheaper, but look around, bsellers come on and offline alot with these things, but beware of the knockoffs, there's a knockoff called pepk, the best way i can figure to tell the difference is that the pepk case only comes in two colors

The pepk case looks more solid built. The love mei is more rounded.
Color wise they both have the same.

Yes, but this is a chinese case. As far as I'm aware, there aren't any fakes for this case.
It is suppose to retail for about $30 ish outside China. Charging $60? That's a rort.

Ok. We'll still fall back to the previous argument. "$60? It must be a fake since the love mei website sells for $96" At this point of time, we'll think that whoever charges higher must be legit.

Even while it is advertised as the Love Mei, the screenshots are from the Pepk knockoff which is known to have a plastc screen protector instead of the gorilla glass one. Look closely and you will see Pepk written on the upper right side.

Indeed this is not a love mei case at all. The case Is solid as a brick but the screen is plastic and things fall off. Plus it takes up to 2 weeks to deliver.

question about the case
I should receive mine in a few weeks as I ordered it on Ebay for about $33 shipped. I do agree that the Pepk is a knock off and doesn't offer gorilla glass. Anyways, what concerns me the most is losing certain features like NFC, Sbeam, 1-2 bars of signal strength.
I bought an aluminum case for this about a month ago. Unfortunately I had to return it because I lost one bar consistently. Now this even with the back cover of the S4 removed. You have to remove it to fit into this case. I took it out and I got the bar back. So I knew it was due to the case.
Now with this case, it's even thicker AND you don't remove the back. That means more rubber, metal to go through. That's what worries me most. Waterproof? I don't plan to swim with it or use it while I"m paddling a canoe. But for those times where I'm using the john and I drop it on the toilet (which I've done 3 times to my phones), I want to be able to grab it (yes, I'm going right in) and rinse it off without ruining the phone.
Some have said they plan to put a strip of copper foil underneath the case to extend the signal quality. Not sure if that will work or how they plan to do it.

Wow - that is whack. I had it in my cart cause I was going to order a few things, and the price freaking doubled because of the demand. Meanwhile, I'm the one that created the demand and I lose out.

Glad I bought these the other day when they were $5.99/each! Just like I'm glad I bought my Spigen Tough Armor cases when they were $13.99/each.
I hate the way prices fluctuate so much on Amazon.

The irony is that given all these durability videos of the S5 being dropped, run over by Tesla's, etc., I'm reconsidering if I need one of these.

What is the benefit in daily use with a tempered glass screen protector as opposed to a more traditional one?

Several benefits. Feels like glass and is much, much nicer to use than the plastic ones. Also they will shatter in the event you drop your phone face down and saves your actual screen. This is great because it's much easier to replace a $25 dollar glass screen protector than a $100-$200 screen. Mime USA makes my favorite. I have used many over the years but none better than Mime's and Mime's customer service is superb. No one else's even compares to it. Would never think of buying any where else again.

How is the application process? Just like the plastic ones or is it ridged? I guess what I'm getting at is if I do not apply it properly or there is a speck of dust under it can I easily take it off and reapply? Thanks a ton for any info!

Got this in china yesterday at USD 4, not sure how it will fit on the phone, I don't have a S5, I got it because I was pissed, going to china and had nothing to buy, all the stuff I wanted was not available yet.

Issue is it isn't Amazon Prime so it is at least $8 in the US versus the $6 it used to be with Prime.
Do you guys really think this is needed honestly? I mean, the S5 is already stupid big, do we want to add more size?

For anyone who needs to know, majority of the glass screen protector for the S5 does not have round edges, may be the next few batches will.
Even without the round edge, it shouldn't make any differences, the S5 edge is slightly raised about 0.5mm.
