Google Edition 4.2.2 Original Dump - Galaxy S 4 General

Hey guys, iv been looking for the original Google edition dump rom for like 30 minutes..
I may be overtired or just blind but for the life of me I cant find it, I want to start my own development project once I receive my S4..
If someone could please supply a link to the original unmodified version of the ROM that would be greatly appreciated, preferably deodexed to save time hehe.

Here is the full unmodified system dump (not flashable, odexed):
http://dl.androidtaskforce.com/OEM/Samsung/Galaxy_S4/GalaxyS4_Google_Edition_SystemDump.zip

Would be nice to get the Odin flashable version of this. Can't use rooted ROM because of some work apps, so Odin flashable is preferred if someone could help.

Reread it again. He was asking for 4.2.2, not 4.3.

Thanks for the post guys, appreciate that.

Is there a difference between the 4.2.2 dump and 4.3 dump in terms if battery life and stability?
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app

4.2.2 it's an stable release, while 4.3 it's just an alpha release leaked.

Customer base and update cycles are two completely different things. And judging by my coworker who has a gs3 and doesn't even know what a premuim suite update is and doesn't care, I think Verizon will be fine sending out updates whenever they want.

I apologize in advance for this noob question...
I rooted my s3 a couple of months ago. Now that 4.1.2 is out, how do I update & re-root it? Do I just download an updated rooted image & boot into recovery mode and flash it, or is there more to it than that? Any help is greatly appreciated!

well, that didn't quite work
so I downloaded the file CF-Auto-Root-m3-m3zh-gti9305 (hopefully that was the right one for 4.1.2 rooted). I booted into recovery mode, started odin. Chose PDF and selected the file, hit Start. After about 15 seconds I get a "Fail" message. Phone won't boot at all. Did I select the wrong image? How do I get my phone back?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thinking that this was the wrong file, I went to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439
and downloaded the For VRBMB1 (Jelly Bean 4.1.2) file. That updated correctly via Odin, and phone now reboots. Looks like it's still at 4.1.1 however....

With new firmware, beweent change log number and build date, which one is more acxurate to indicate that is a newer firmware? Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
Not sure why everyone talks about build date.
The changelog is going to be your one guarantee that a firmware is in anyway different or identical to the one you already have
Quite often build dates might be different because of scheduling of the coding etc

Thanks for this. As a new comer to the Android world and having just got my S4, I note this is the firmware on my phone (online import to Australia). However, could you confirm for me:
this is a link to the Stock ROM should I need to return the original OS,
that despite this, I can still follow published methods for rooting my phone (eg "Root the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean using Motochopper tool",
there is no problem with me moving to a British based Custom ROM such as described here "Update Galaxy S4 I9505 to official XXUAMDM Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware", and finally
Does the region software is designed for (eg Hong Kong vs Europe) have an impact on the phone's functionality and hardware abilities?
Many thanks

Yep
Really don't understand why they keep uploading them on hotfile, when there are far better alternatives.. or why not they could even make a torrent for the most desired builds.
Anyway.. thanks!
Now just have to wait 2 hours for this to dw despite having a 100mbps connection.

Return to Stock Android v4.04

Anyone know how I can return my phone back to the stock rom (Android v4.0.4 ICS) that came from T-Mobile? I was able to get my phone back to stock using this post but the version of android is 2.3.6 (Gingerbread) and I am unable to update it to 4.0.4 using Kies due to no firmware update available.

[Finally] Downgrade to 4.3

Now you can downgrade 4.4.2 kitkat to 4.3 jelly bean
You must have
1)an official stock 4.3
2)mobile odin
3)pc odin(computer odin)
4)This kernel (http://goo.gl/8MGXnQ)
5)custom recovery
6)rooted 4.4.2
Instructions:-
1)copy the stock 4.3 to sd card
2)flash it using mobile odin and make sure that all boxes are checked
3)flash custom recovery via pc odin
4)flash the kernel via custom recovery
Enjoy 4.3
Tested on my Gt-i9505
Notes:-
1)if you didn't flash the kernel you won't be able to use wifi
2)make sure to backup EFS and IMEI using EFS PRO (https://www.mediafire.com/?4smom74xg5tfkxu)
I wish i could helped many people to get rid of 4.4.2 kitkat
Thank you for posting this... won't do me any good as I'm not rooted...and need to downgrade to saferoot. But what is known about the custom kernel...I was under the impression using stuff for s4 variants that are not yours is dangerous. Im using the sprint version.
Regardless, I'm giving you a "thanks" for posting this as its a step in the right direction.

Will this work for downgrading to 4.2.2 with KT JB4.2 kernel?
Why would you guys want to downgrade to 4.3?
I can't imagine why anyone would want to downgrade back to 4.3. 4.4 was a huge breath of fresh air for me. Everything works smoother, looks better, better battery. What more so you want. Only thing I miss is the jelly bean game, I hate the kit kat game now. It seems like 4.4 is a lot llighter OS then 4.3. Less parasitic loss on my phone I guess you can say.
I main reason I would want to downgrade to 4.2.2 (XXUDMH8) if I ever end up with KitKat or 4.3 is so JKay Deluxe will work. It appears JKay has completely abandoned development.
thanks
