Is there a Sanse based rom out there with an adjustable grid size (using the sense launcher)? This 4x4 thing is killing me.
I am using Nova launcher, which I like very much, but I would like to use the sense every now and then...
Thanks...

It's not possible to change the grid size in the stock sense. But give Viper One S or Trickdroid 9.1 a try.

I know in the stock sense rom it can't be done, what I don't understand is with all the new roms popping out there isn't one with that option... It's just weird.
I had the viper 2.2.0 for a while now, it's great now I'm on Trickdroid 10.0.

The viper use sense too. What is the difference between the stock sense and custom sense?. I was under the impression that sense is sense. Is there any mod for sense for that?. Thanks.

You for sure can use go launcher instead, but without root you can't kill sense, cause of this it would always run in background.
Swyped from my Desire S
thanks for answering me
and with root, how can it be killed?
thanks again
Sense is very built into the rom. But there's plenty of non sense roms, cm based including miui etc

Can someone help me find stable rom that is for the most part senseless. I (I also really like the stock ics) thanks in advance

Coming from SGS2 I do not mind sense. I was on AOKP back on SGS2 amongst many other ROMs and kind of bored with stock android look. Loving the sense so far.....maybe in the future.
Is the AOKP fully functional on HOX?
Another vote for CleanROM 4.1 DE. Super easy to install and plenty of customization.

I tried the CleanROM SE first - however had a wierd graphic bug on the pull down notification bar which was addressed by the Xi40 rom. so like it better
CleanROM is a fantastic ROM, but it is not Sense-free. The DE version has no Sense in the interface but some of it is still leftover.
I'm curious to try Xi40 as I want to find a ROM with no Sense at all to check if the LTE signal loss/battery drain issue is still there.

I have been on Clean ROM 4.1 SE for a while. It's extremely stable, but like the others have said before, has Sense.
Clean Rom 4.1 DE is the way to go!

Could you send me a link please
CleanROM 4.1 is what I have been using and I haven't had any problems, but I do go back to cm9 when an update comes out just to give it a try.
Hope you find one that suits you. Good luck
Big fan of CleanROM 4.1 DE. I tried AOKP but the stock Dialer/Contacts/MMS/Keyboard is a step back IMO. I really just wanted the Stock Email client as this lets me set different ringtones for different accounts. It's also not worth losing the very excellent Sense Camera for the CM9 camera.
IMO, until CM9 and AOKP can provide the same camera experience (i know theres 3rd party apps but meh) then its not worth switching to them just yet.
Hello everyone I have been looking for a 90% senseless ROM on this forum, I had a htc sensation before and there were some senseless ROM where the only sense part was the camera, I have seen some "senseless" ROM here but they are like 50% sensless, and what I'm looking for is
aosp status bar
aosp dialer and contacts
aosp settings
aosp lockscreen
aosp drawer applications
So if you get me, I would love a 90% aosp with HTC camera
Is that possible??

Closest would be CleanRom Dev. But you won't get the dialer of settings. You would have to go AOKP or CM for all of that but then you wouldn't have the One X stock camera.

Settings is at a level deeper than non-AOSP ROMs are going to go.
And I can't remember why the dialer can't be swapped out. I think Scott said he couldn't get it working, but I am not going to search through the Clean Rom Dev thread right now to find the discussion.
Also try rebelrom... the first version.. its a bit older and support is pretty much nonexistent, but its the perfect level of aosp and sense. Almost exactly like your asking for. Pair that with beast mode kernel V1.2 and you have a rocket...
Bpears second build of that ROM is awesome. I mean AWESOME... but you can't send or receive MMS.. at all. It was a deal breaker for me

I vote for RebelROM too. I used it as my daily driver for several weeks and loved it. Perfect balance of Sense and AOSP. The only reason I'm not running it anymore is I got that itch to flash something new. Even though it is indeed "old" it's still perfectly fine.
Ok i saw it and i did like it but the problem is that it's base on 1.88 and I'm on v 2.x and I don't want to go to an older version of baseband, is there any rom alike to that one?

There is nothing quite like RebelROM that is up to date. But based on your criteria, it is the one for you. Make a nandroid backup and give it a whirl. Don't like... Restore from backup. You may not even notice that it is 1 month old.
Exactly as the title says. I know there are a couple sense based miui roms for other phones, and I saw an old one by dekky. Just wondering.

I may be wrong but a sense based miui would be for phones that don't have aosp right?
I never could see the point of a sense based version. No Offense

Idk, I've tried both and I like the sense version better. Sense based miui is for people who want sense features. Nothing to do with lack of AOSP.

Couldn't you use the MIUI launcher app (from the Play Store) with a Sense ROM of your choice? Maybe I'm just confused as to what you're asking.

That isn't a MIUI ROM. It's a regular Sense ROM that has a MIUI battery bar option. That's the only MIUI thing I see in the ROM.
There isn't a Sense based MIUI ROM for the One XL, just the regular AOSP MIUI.

Some phones have MIUI ROMs that are built from a Sense source instead of a AOSP source. I know the Vivid had a MIUI ROM like this. It has all of the regular MIUI options, I think, but still keeps some of the Sense things, like the camera for example.
Sorry. had no clue it wasnt true miui. I just seen that in the sence ROMs. I've never strayed from aosp. Sense makes no sence to me.

No worries. I just didn't want the OP to think it was a MIUI ROM. I switch back and forth between AOSP and Sense ROMs. I use AOSP most of the time but if I know I'm going to need the camera on my phone I always switch back to Sense. I always keep a nandroid of a Sense ROM for that particular reason.

Haha, thanks. And yeah I'd actually seen that one before I posted. Camera is really the only reason I every go back to sense. It's just so wonderful!
And to whoever said that I could just install the miui launcher, try using any of the effects with lots of icons... it runs as slow as... a slow thing. :S
Hi all.
First just have to thank the xda community for all of their work. With their help, I rooted over 15 different devices. So thank you.
I searched and searched but cannot find a way to get it. I was on the irc channel, but someone said I needed the HTC framework. I want the HTC calendar with the widget, because stock sucks.
Any suggestions? Thanks I. advance
Edit: I guess I should say that I am not on a sense ROM. But I was hoping someone would have figured that out.

I think sense widgets rely on sense framework ...so you'd need the sense launcher
You need to be on a sense Rom using the sense launcher. Even if you are on a sense Rom and you use nova the widgets don't work. You need a sense Rom and Rosie
