The new HTC One mini 4.2.2 project By Zarboz/Team ImagioX
This is based on the release keys dump from the HTC One mini
I have done EXTENSIVE work to get the HTC One kernel ported over to our device and current EVERYTHING kernel side works
you can find the source for my kernel here:
https://github.com/zarboz/Evita_UL_422-JB/tree/master
The things the kernel will bring to the table:
Compilation of prima_wlan from source (finally)
New KGSL jb-1.4 (for 4.2.2 based EGLs)
Updated camera drivers (yes zoe works with m7 libs/firmware/bins)
The ROM is NOWHERE NEAR READY FOR DAILY USE.. IF you file a bug report I feel sorry for you as no one cares right now and the information will be considered clutter
Things that I have done to get it booting:
Hacked up a great kernel for graphics to work
Spliced together M7/4.2.2 ramdisk and evita 3.18 ramdisk (there is still some issues here i need help with)
other than that ROMside all that has been changed is:
/system/usr/
our modules and hw support
and our proprietary RIL support
our firmware for wifi/bluetooth ofc
wifi works but you manually have to insmod the prima_wlan.ko module for NOW!!! please dont put this in a init script thats not where it goes we will be able to hack up wpa supplicant at a latter point to have this load naturally
the things that I need help with:
Build.prop for RIL/Sound
ramdisk:
init.target.rc
ueventd.init.target.rc
if you want to get involved let me know
if you file a bug report go away.
Things that work:
it boots and graphics work and hwaccell works
you can get wifi to work with some terminal interaction
thats about it
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23060877489997569

This thread is pure development, anything else will be removed.
If you like what you see, please pitch in and help.
Please remember to hit the thanks button for the Dev, no need to say thanks in a stand alone post.
Thank you for staying on topic

If you're interested, I know how you can fix wifi.
See my post here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43379346
Basically, you guys can do the same. Find the name of your main wifi module, insmod it inside the init.qcom.post_boot.sh.
Then you need to hex edit libhardware_legacy.so to point to your correct wifi module and wifi firmware files.

I cannot figure out why the apps are force closing. Can't even get into the system because system Ui force closes as soon as the Ron boots.

This rom based on the stock Android Revolution HD 2.17 base. It boots but nothing else works. Every app force closes and then itll reboot after about 2 mins. Im using a modified cm10.1 boot.img but it probably needs a lot of tweaking. I have modified only the files necessary for the rom to boot. I intend to do a lot more work on this rom in the following weeks but I have other project Im currently working on that have a higher priority than this one. Ive posted it here so hopefully other devs will be willing to join in and help get this to a usable state for users. This thread is developing so expect me to add more info to this op in a while.

I might be wrong but I've never heard of a kernel being dependent on an hboot.

Nope, same dev I was the one who ported slim ics...this won't get taken down cause I did it from source this time
Anyways, let me know any bugs you run into...I just did a quick test...WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS (slow..doesn't have Scott's fix for fast gps yet), and the main stuff were working...went out for dinner, then school shopping then worked out so I haven't gotten to thouroghly test it yet for bugs...just made sure the main things worked
(I do think I got a force close for talk on first boot up...gotta look into that, any one else get that?)

Yeah, does not yet have the agps/GPS.conf fix yet...will have that in the next update, as well as add in ota support, and possibly slim it down...I think he current build has items other device zips don't because they are included in the common zip - I want it to be as slim as other versions...which total to about 80-90 after adding device zip to common zip...so basically I wanna try and clear 15-30mb...probably 15 cause we have a 15mb modem included that others do not have
Got a whole weekend to work on this and another project that should be released by Sunday...
Also, due to school updates will almost always be done on the weekends...unless I have little homework this year...too early to tell

That may work, but Scotts fix was actually disabling agps because agps was not cooperating with jellybean...I think the GPS.conf was also edited...gotta look for the post...but it was dani who discovered the fix and brought it to Scotts attention I believe

[Q&A]MagioROM Sense 5

Evita Sense 5 FAQ’s
Will this rom work on the International HTC One X or X+?: No, this is ONLY for the HTC One XL. If you want a shiny new paperweight then by all mean, flash the rom.
Can I dirty flash this rom over a previous version or another rom?: It may work or it may not but, it is highly advisable to wipe cache, dalvik, factory reset just to rule out any issues that may arise.
Does everything function on this rom?: Remember, this is a port from a totally different phone so not all things function as they should. Namely Bluetooth, Zoe, Panoramic, Burst shot, wifi tethering. These things are being worked on and there is no ETA on when we will get them to work properly. When we get them working, we will let you know.
Can I flash this using CWM?: There are a few users that have gotten it to flash with CWM however, we advise you to use TWRP.
What version of TWRP can I use to flash this?: It is recommended to use 2.3.3.1 or 2.6 or later.
Will this work with ElementalX or Bulletproof kernels?: No.
I cannot get wifi to work after I flashed ElementalX or Bulletproof: ElementalX and bullet proof Kernal are incompatible with this Rom. Try Beastmode kernel by Team Blackout instead.
I found a bug. What should I do?If you have found a bug or some apps are force closing or something isn't working as it should try to capture a logcat of the problem or post a detailed description on how to reproduce the problem.
standby time is amazing on this rom
left mine at 18 percent at 12.00 am with wifi and mobile data left on
woke this morning at 7.30 am to find it still at 18 percent
happy days
thanks to all the above devs
just hoping and praying one of them can sort the bluetooth :good:
CoffinStuffer said:
Couple things,Twrp 2.3.3.1 has basic touch driver assistance, sort of. It's most compatible with newer touch drivers, better than the reverts we use. 2.3.3.0 no touch assist on the other hand, won't work at all on new drivers. So recovery plays a big part,in proper installation of things. It can in some cases, mess stuff up. Example:WiFi is forked after a fresh install. Wipe install same Rom,everything works perfectly.
It's almost like grinders sig. (Ghosts in the machine) I believe what I just said was stated correctly,I could be slightly off,but a recovery downgrade+fresh Rom install,or touch driver update. Might help fix inconsistent installs.

For some reason, my phone doesn't like this rom. I installed 2.3.3.0 with the downgraded touch panel fw. I'm on hboot 2.14. I clean installed 3.0 by wiping everything except the sd card. It booted up just fine. So, I set it up, rebooted into TWRP to flash the 3.5 update, it went to TWRP's splash screen and bam, the phone instantly rebooted and got stuck at the HTC screen. I'm done. I truly love the rom but not when this keeps happening whenever I want to get into the recovery. My phone doesn't do it on any other sense 4+/JB Rom. I ended up having to fastboot erase cache to get back into TWRP to restore my backup of CleanROM.

How can I use Google voice texts to text friends and family. Can't I only talk to others on google talk? P.s. most other people I talk to have an iphone.

Is the delay (and skip in music) when you turn the screen on still there in 4.3?
I got no root right, is it normal ?

Any hope of there being a "stable" release? The last one is on 4.1.2 as archaic as it seems! Lol how development flies. I know much work is being done on nightlies, but I would much prefer waiting for a stable release rather than questionable nightlies.

I'd imagine there will be before too long. With the 3.4 kernel worked out now development seems to be going a lot quicker now as rohan also pointed out. So I think it's likely that issues found in nightlies will be worked out sooner, and thus a stable build can be released.

They're not really "questionable". I think some people place too much emphasis on the nightlies being "unstable". Give it a few days and these nightlies will be working beautifully. I've flashed a whole bunch of nightlies that ran just as well as any stable build I've tried.

This is so awesome... I am still on CM10 given that it is the only build that works with AVRCP 1.3... Can't wait until this guy has it too (I guess it's built in by Google)?
Any ideas if fast charge would be in this kernel?
Thanks!

Same here. I think I saw that Koushik had to fix superuser for 4.3. It should be fixed in the next build, hopefully.

For those that have installed CM10.2, do you feel any performance has been gained over longer use considering 4.3 introduced the back-end ability to use FStrim? This would, in theory, take away that laggy feel that we all experience over time from writing and deleting material from our devices over and over.

is fstrim enabled for our device? an anandtech post mentioned that it was there in all the Nexus images. it would be really nice if it were in our builds

[Q] Stock JB 4.1.2 from sgh-t989 to sgh-t769

Hi everybody...
I'm kinda new to Android...
I want to ask, is it possible to install the stock JB 4.1.2 firmware which belongs to Samsung galaxy SII (sgh-t989) on Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G (sgh-t769)??
I would say no.

Just curious, is it possible to port stock jb from sgh-t989 to the Blaze? Could we actually get a taste of real Touchwiz JellyBean?

I think that someone with a lot of porting experience can get this to (partially) work, I have no experience with porting what soever, but I do know Python and learning VB. Would be cool if I could use those in android
I hope someone may consider it. I am learning all this stuff with a lot of effort. I have until now been developing apps only... But ROM dev and porting, and kernel tweaking is really interesting. But you can use python in android...at least in app dev.

Finished it about 3 hours ago.
WiFi is broken, keeping me from relasing.
Wasn't really a port, was more of recompiling the kernel and adding blaze support kind of thing. Only took me 9 hours...
This approach lets people flash any Hercules and skyrocket tw rom.

Do you have like tutorials for porting tw roms from similar devices(Hercules etc)? I would like to learn that. If not please give me some guidelines. I would really be thankful. Anyways you know a lot of stuff, have you ever considered passing that expertise to others? Oh well, i know there are a lot of tutorials on everything all over the forum and stuff, but maybe your way is different. You have done a lot of dev work, that's what i mean.

Ha ha.
No tutorials it's all prior knowledge.
Well here's how this project came to be :
1) read this thread
2) downloaded the source code
3) diffed the defconfigs of herc, the cm t769 and the ics apex one.
4) compiled a kernel
5) repacked boot.img
6) didn't boot
7) replaced my uber kernel with the compiled kernel
8) booted, no network, wifi, gapps.
9)Repeat 4,6,8, and 9 five times. 10) debug ril. Fixed
11) post screen shot
12) go to sleep

Thanks Somcom, I'll try that. But my ROM will probably get stuck on the bootscreen, or systemUI or android.core process will keep crashing , coz that's what happens to all my Roms. But thanks alot. I hope to see the 4.1.2 tw ROM soon. GREAT DEV WORK, REALLY GREAT...

Installed it last night. Been running great. Had a few fcs with Nova but after a few boots, seems to have went away. Battery life seems to be as good as any other non sense rom I've tried. I would say even better but it's too early.
Can someone explain the built-in backup and does it persist gapps across updates? Also, is there an ota update?
Only real thing I've missed, and it's a minor thing, is the location qs tile only toggles on/off and not off/battery saving/high accuracy.

I actually switched to this rom because of heat. For the last couple of weeks, any gps use or data use would cause a noticeable increase in heat. I also kept running into -mah while phone was plugged in. Switched to this rom and so far, those issues haven't happened.
I was going to try a different kernel because it didn't have things like uc to 81000, some of the other governors, etc but I've actually been pleasantly surprised by how the included one has performed.
I'm also getting the quickest gps lock that I can remember. Hopefully this rom will continue to be updated.

Don't see the option. No biggie, just not a fan of included one.
Other than that though, this rom has been rocking pretty darn good. Surprised not more buzz about it in the thread. Didn't think I'd be pulled away from aicp but I'm hooked. Battery life has been superb so far. My heat issues have gone away too. I'm having some wifi speed issues but I think it's more to do with xfinity and this pos modem they 'upgraded' me with.
Any plans on incorporating the new theme engine? Not really sure what the benefits it provides other than being current.
