Im just wondering. Ive looked but only found a 1930mah Gold brand battery that should fit without replacing the back cover.
Any links or batteries that will give a little more life?

How about a link to the mentioned 1930 battery?
good day. From the Fascinate sporting the XDA app.

This is already being discussed in the galaxy s forums but nobody has made the point if this works or not for more life.

I will give it a shot and buy it if someone can confirm that it would actually work and power up on our phone.
NM it was for galaxy s euro version.
I got an email about this the other day:

Not sure if its worth it for 100mAh extra

Is there any info on this from anyone? If 100mAh is any better might be worth it.

I actually just got the email as well, any information would be appreciated.
Extended Battery
I called today-it only gives 10% more life-not worth the $$$ IMO
Looking for the biggest extended battery I can use without an extended door.
Thanks in advanced!!!

Umm nah, I mean sure the "3500 mAh" battery probably doesn't have that much but it has quite a bit more than stock and the price is cheaper than an OEM battery. There's no downside (unless you've sold your soul to Otterbox )

I know for a fact that the Galaxy SII battery from the upcoming Epic 4G Touch is 1800mah and definitely fits in the Epic. (and btw, the new phone is Sweet! can't wait till the 9th)
It's only a matter of time before you'll start to see them pop up on ebay, etc.

Why even make that, Sprint has the Evo...
I guess sprint wants its customers to have options. Bastards.

The european/asian SGSII that is currently out uses a physically larger battery that will not fit SGS1 phones. Epic 4G touch, maybe what you say is true.

Lol there's no reason when they have the Epic, if it had better stats than i could see a point. Evo 3D makes it a device behind the times, I want a super Epic with the keyboard still on it

Losing a physical keyboard is not something I'd call an upgrade, that's a BIG step back IMHO
I wouldn't say a step back, esentially everything else is, albeit aslight, upgrade. Id say different as apposed to a step back. Hopefully they will anounce a true sequal to the epic though, keyboard and all.

I need an extra samsung oem 1650mah battery. Does anyone know where it can be bought in america?
i take it you checked google/ebay/amazon? i know there was another thread dedicated to this topic a while back. try to search for it.
It seems like all sellers are in europe which seems strange for an american phone
strange for an "american phone" made by a korean company?
Uh I didn't have to buy the phone in korea. As far as I know they don't sell t-mobile branded phones in korea.

i dont get why your so upset at the fact you cant just walk in a store and get a battery for a specific phone. i work in a place that sells phones, batteries and accessories. if we carried every battery made for every phone it would fill the store two times over. just order the battery.

This phone shares the exact same dimensions as a few other phones in the samsung line up and there are multiple capacities available that are all the exact same size battery (for instance, the Vibrant has a 1500mAh battery compared to the SGS4G's 1650mAh battery even though both batteries are exactly the same size) . So Im sure being that other SGS4G/Vibrant variants being sold elsewhere in the world, this is why you can find batteries in many different places around the world.
My local Tmobile store has them (Fort Worth TX)
It also seems amazon has them as well.
local store
lol, my local store in Plano Texas tried to sell me the vibrant battery kit....i had to ask the guy to read the mAh until he figured out he was wrong.
i don't care that they don't have them at the store, but jeez....at least know what you are selling!
This battery is fifty in a store. Go to amazon ten bucks

Also the 1800mAh one from the S2 Epic 4G Touch works great....I got mine from Amazon for $7 delivered in 4 days....it came from California
What is the BEST battery for this phone?
I just got the Galaxy S 4G (used), and it came with the original 2011 battery. It seemed to be "OK", but I wanted something better. I wanted something newer.
I purchased an "authentic" Samsung 1650 battery off eBay for $13. It has a 2013 manufacture date.
Well, I got it, and immediately felt something was "off". The font & spacing were slightly different than my old battery, and it had a "cheaper" feel to it, and its label wasn't even on the battery correctly. It looks like a typical counterfeit battery.
I pop it in my phone, and it seems to run out a lot quicker than my old battery. I've 0% to 100% cycled it a few times, and it still seems weak.
So, I could try to get another "authentic" Samsung that probably is a fake, or I can embrace the "after-market" batteries and go for an *extended* one.
I've seen 1750 mAh and 1900 mAh batteries. Are those any good? Do they at least last longer than a Samsung 1650 mAh battery?
This what I bought..they work great.
No problems at all and you get 2
plus a charger just for the battery's.

Has anyone seen the new phone for Verizon? The Samsung Jasper, it looks a lot like the Charge. I haven't been able to find any specs on it but it's a low cost LTE phone with a dual core snapdragon. But, because of the shape I was wondering if it would carry the same LTE chip and possibly provide a RIL for us. Does anyone have any info on the hardware inside?
http://www.engadget.com/2012/07/20/samsung-jasper-for-verizon-leaks-on-twitter/
Link to article on engadget.
Just looked it up looks eerily similar hopefully this is the case and it provides an RIL.
Sent from my SCH-I510 using xda app-developers app
Samsung will never release the RIL. No new phone will help us besides the fact other developers might try to reverse engineer it. It is too proprietary and bits and pieces of the code are probably still in use by other phones, including new phones. I doubt the Jasper will get as much attention. It's community will probably be like the charge. PS the screen resolution is horrendous by today's standard.
Just face it...we're never getting ICS.

Just get a nexus 7 and call it a day. I'm personally done spending $500 on phones just to be on the bleeding edge. The charge
when massaged and tweaked is perfectly adequate as a phone and the N7 will be better at everything else except for maybe audio out (but chances are your next phone would be worse here too). The best of both worlds, at a fraction of the cost.

Or you can luck out and find a friend or relative that wants to start a Verizon service but doesn't want to pay anything. Just pay the 2xxx$ for them to start off on the galaxy s3 then have them swap you out with the Charge. So now you have cutting edge phone with lot's of development support.

The improbability of that scenario notwithstanding, I'd still take the N7 for the money and keep the charge. But whatever floats one's boat I suppose.
yea my charge provides internet for my N7. Charge is about to die as it is
Galaxy Stellar
So now the Jasper is officialy know as the Samsung Galaxy Stellar. Does anyone have anymore information on this phone. It's supposed to come with ICS out of the box. This phone still looks like an updated Charge and I'm hoping provides something on the RIL. Does anyone know where to get specs at the chipset level on this phone? Tahnks.

um, BBB is not useful
they basically accept money from businesses, and businesses put their label on their website. BBB doesn't do much other than that
Any site that still thinks there is a difference between the 32GB and 16GB battery is misinformed and I would not buy anything from them. That was a false rumor going around about the Nexus 5 having 2 battery sizes.
The website is also outdated/amateurish looking and not the type of place I would input any credentials into.
There's a post within a "3000mAh" thread somewhere in the general section that mentions how to get a 3000mAh battery into the Nexus 5 - I'm pretty sure it involved a LG G2 battery and de-soldering the N5's battery pcb and resoldering it to the G2 battery.

Why not just buy battery case? Its a case with battery built in. Internal battery plus the battery case will go way over 4500mah.
I saw one for about $50 on amazon.
only con is that adds little thickness but I think its better approach over risk breaking trying open up the phone.
