[Images] Google Play Edition w/ Android 4.3 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 General

Hey guys, so here's my first post, lol and I apologize if this is in the wrong spot or area.
Just wanted to show off a few images of the beta Google Play software with android 4.3.
Google basically did what Samsung should of done in the first place- debloated it.. But also made it Aosp along side and partnering with Samsung for the development.
I've added the screenshots which are achieved with power button and volume down hold.
By the way the home screen is my custom creation and does not come with this back ground or clock.
Thank you to Kylecore for links and installation instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342625 / http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2342625

What's the point of this thread? We all know about 4.3.

Then don't read it..^^^^ I find it helpful. How's battery life been with this ROM?
Sent from my SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2

Battery life is very very good in my opinion [or so far I guess lol]. Ive seen no problems of slow charging or fast discharging. Also it uses only .7 gb of the total rom in the phone where twizz from Samsung uses like 2.4gb of the 2.85 total

ROM suggestions?

Okay I'm new to the sg3 forums. I just switched to Verizon from Sprint and a epic 4G touch. I just couldn't take not having 4G where I live when Verizon has it here and my speed test was about 33mbps the other day on 4G ... Anyway I was running paranoid android on my epic so that's what I'm currently running on my sg3. What roms are most running and which do you guys prefer? Like I said I've only tried paranoid android and of course the stock Verizon until I rooted and unlocked the bootloader. What's a good rom to try out next?

I'd recommend cyanogenmod 10 nightly with Jelly bean 4.1.1! Very simple rom.
Synergy all the way (ICS, not jb yet...) + dark horse rises theme and trinity kernel. That's an s3 to make your friends envious first sure.

Synergy for me.
I'm on ParanoidAndroid as well. Tried out Synergy and Redemption, both were good but I prefer the AOSP style, and I like phablet mode on PA. If I weren't really into phablet mode, AOKP would probably be my choice. But I'll second,

I second this ... very smooth, enhanced Twiz experience. The unstated bonus is that the ROM automatically takes care of IMEI backup, Busybox, Samsung root check and a host of Verizon spyware/sludge.
Plus, there are several tasty themes and kernels available to tweak your user experience.
I am currently running Synergy.r72, EyeCandy (theme), KT747 (kernel) and InfinitySound.v2. Can you say awesome?
Definitely a must try.

There's also some other small under the hood tweaks worth mentioning like Sony Bravia engine for crisp camera shots and 4G/WiFi speed tweaks as well. Synergy is what a stock ROM should be like, reliable and secure

This is only for AOSP. How did you get it to run?
For those inquiring about the InfinitySound tag in my sig. This is a reference to UltimateSound from here .. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883262 .. v2 was an older build released for ICS.
Very few people were able to get it to work with Synergy/ICS ROMs, so the OP took down the link and limited his newer releases to JB only.
I am not comfortable mirroring an older build that soft bricked 90% of people who installed it.
He is working on GB and ICS compatible builds, so be patient.

Isn't this kind of redundant in the General forum where there isn't any one device? Especially seeing as you're talking about specific ROMs rather than bases (i.e. not something like AOSP, MIUI, TouchWiz, Sense etc.). If I said I was using NexusHD2 JB would that really mean anything or make a difference to your choice?

Your an idiot. I was trying to get a poll or collection of pros and coins about your rom . nothing said here is for me to decide the ROM I want. I chooses based of my own parameters not people decisions. Just thought I could get a page about everyone's ROMs and why they chose it. You don't have to be a douche about it.

OK, let's start this again
I will list a few of the high points mentioned in the cleaned posts as there were some good points made
Everyone has to start somewhere. My first ROM was just an ADB /pull of my existing setup and thrown into a flashable.
From there this awesome community taught me how to do so much more.
If you want to stick in this thread and help with growth and contribute to the community please do and thank you
If you want to trash someone for trying and tear down the attempt please ignore this thread and move on

Best Tweaks for Galaxy S4 GT-i9505 on Cyanogenmod 10.2

Hey Guys,
What are everyone's favorite kernels and tweaks for Galaxy s4 running Cyanogenmod 10.2? Just trying to get a consensus. I downloaded KToonSez Kernel but I my phone started working a little off. I couldn't pin point it. I ended up installing the next nightly for 10.2 and KtoonSez was gone, which was a relief.
Anyway, please share if you guys have any advice on best kernels and tweaks, and even if you have any great apps to share.
Cheers!
In actually using CM 10.2-20130915 version with Swipe Pad app running smoothly. My only issue is that the radio signal bars are showing only one bar or no bars at all!!

ROM port question

Is it possible to port s4 ROMs to this device? Has it been done before? I've messed around with porting before, I actually tried to port a sense 4 ROM to the s3 and I tried porting an s4 to the droid DNA. The problem I ran into was getting Ubuntu installed onto my windows 8.1 laptop in dual boot. Just curious thanks guys!

I don't see the point to do so. S4 is only 4.3 and current we're running custom 4.4 with all the latest 4.4 features. There's no reason to go back to 4.3 rom.
Yeah I understand your point. The reason I was asking is because I'm still running 4.1 jelly beans ROM and I was wondering if they weren't going to do a 4.3 release of that ROM if I could port the s4 version to the s3.

Andy ported the S4 apps on to his S3 ROM. It is still an ROM based on the S3 firmware. If it was a port it would have said so in the title of his ROMs thread. It is an XDA rule to put port, official or unofficial in a ROM title if necessary. With that being said it is very difficult to port a ROM if the device it is based on has different hardware then the device it is being ported to.

What 4.1 ROM are you running? There are already quite a few 4.3 ROMs for the S3. MOAR, Wicked Sensations, Clean ROM, and JellyBeans (now called Alliance ROM) have all been updated from 4.1.2 to 4.3. And Synergy ROM and BoneStock are in the process of being updated to 4.3. There's also Old & slow's ROM, samstock, and scrosler's knoxless, rooted, stock ROM all based on 4.3.
