Can unroot use this tool?
Sorry my english,

Does this method of rooting give acces to read/write to system? For example: does it allow for deleting apk's from /system/app or editing hosts file with adaway?

After install exploid in ADB, reboot, write in Terminal "pkill -f /sbin/ric; mount -o remount,rw /; chmod 644 /sbin/ric". Now copy install-recovery.sh to /system/etc/ and set permission to 744. Reboot. Now full Root access.

True, this would work on all Xperia phones (or atleast the 2012 series range).
But kinda think u should change the title a bit, as this is not ON .5.5, but practically before.
I like this method, it's cool that it works like this but still, hope there will be another methods soon, a simpler one, hopefully a one-click-root method when a new bug/glitch is found in the Xperia 2012 phones. Without having to (down/up)grade a few times to make it work.

first, i need help here on how to root my miro 11.0.A.5.5 device.
second, thanks . because now i know that there's a process to downgrade your firmware.(which i ddnt know before)..
too complicated.. thought that the process would be easier just like how i root my phone when it was on a lower version.
third, i think i just have to wait longer for the updated version of Bin4ry that could root my miro.
last, if i takes long, then ill have to try and do this process of downgrading my firmware.
thanks.. keep on posting

If you want to flash a lower version of firmware, you'll need a few things:
- Flashtool
(I'm not sure of there are other Flashtools around, probably there are, but I use this one, works like a charm).
- An FTF file of the older stock firmware version. Please if someone here has a good ftf file, please post it, as I have no idea where you Miro guys posted them xD
- Patience and Understanding
Documentation on how to use the Flashtool is also in the topic where u should download it from.
As soon as you've got the older firmware version flashed on ur phone, u should follow the tut in this thread, but before you do ANY of this, I recommend you to find a way to backup all ur apps and data. Just in case.

Want to save current language? Use pc companion > repair my phone. Then you can make it into .ftf and root it then.

Hey buddy guess you are a beginner...
Rooting your phone does not delete anything if the method used for rooting is safe.so nothing will change after rooting.
But from then on you can do anything with system files..
So unless you delete them, nothing will be lost...
And accidentally if u mess up,u can use repair option in pc companion to fix your phone( if you are planning to use simple root tools.and not unlocking bootloader)
Ps: after rooting you will have a temptation to edit system.files

Don't panic that much....as a matter of fact I too did first time..
Just try some one click root tool
They are safer
Try unlock root or srs root..they are pretty much fast and easy..
Since you are a first timer don't think about unlocking bootloader and flashing super user

OK I have the Xperia M!
C1905
On latest firmware 15.1.A.1.9
Bought in Germany
SI code is 1274-1587
Screen is great! If you put it on full brightness you can see how beautiful it is.
Honestly, I think my Xperia Sola from 2012 (reality display, bravia engine 1) had a *slightly* better display, but not by much
The light effect at the bottom is quite bright and attractive
Earphones are OK, but if you have a better pair, use them
Very fast, very smooth. 2GB user space, 1.74 available

if you have been deodexed your phone, you can customizable your /system/app and /system/framework like you can compile or decompile your framework-res.jar, you can edit your SystemUI.apk. If you still not understand, please do some research, okay?
I'm not lazy, bro. I just asked a question. That is a kind of research.
It is okay. I have researched previously, but only for my language. That was not enough. Thank you for your answer.
sure and it is the easiest way of research... I am just pretty sure that xda is full of such threads, probably two in every device forum^^
However, what abiel saidbis not everything:
on odexed phones, a part of special (system-)apps is cut from the appcode. That code is a file with the ending .odex and will be loaded while the phone boots, result: your apps start faster.
Bad about it: Boot process takes longer, its harder to modify and if you deodex, difference isnt as big because all apps get ,"cached" in dalvik cache (also for odexed btw) after first start so then the sart-speed-difference isnt as big compared to odexed roms

Don't replace it via Root Explorer or something like that. Try to replacing it via ADB push or with this tool.

Xperia M2 Root
There is a guide for rooting the Xperia M2, its called Towel Root . Its easy and it only takes 2-3 minutes to root, I did it on my M2 and it works fine
I unlocked bootloader and after that I downloaded Towelroot. Now it works perfect.
Towelroot works. I suspect that some just install the app, but then don't execute it.
After executing it no need to reboot. Install FlashgordonBB, unselect it's safemode, install SuperSU-v1.99.zip with it, reboot with the phone (not through Flashgordon) ... and enjoy.

I’m curious, is there any reason/benefit to using this Flash Gordon app to install the SuperSU zip as opposed to just using the steps provided by CeBits on the root guide:
How to get the latest SuperSU to avoid the update prompt
First uninstall the SuperSU downloaded from the PlayStore.
1. Visit Chainfire's SuperSU threat here on XDA
2. Scroll down and find the "CWM / TWRP / MobileODIN installable ZIP" download link
3. Download the file and extract it to your phone/PC
4. Once extracted, you will find the latest "superuser.apk" inside the "Common" direcroty
5. Transfer and install the APK file on your phone
Or are both methods basically just the same?

They both do the same thing.
I used the Flashgordon bcs I occasionally use it anyway.
