Omg, this would be definitely the game I've been looking for since I purchased my first android! I am just a huge fan of final fantasy and blitzball was just amazingly addictive. I wish I had knowledge in programming for android to help you, but it's not the case...but you have my full moral support! And if the project were to be realized, be sure that you would have my donation!

Jonesing Games to the rescue
This is an amazing idea, although this thread seems old and dead. However, I'd like to revive this project . Does anyone know about possible copyrights and trademarks surrounding Blitzball?

[Q] Looking for the right place for my 6 year old to learn how to code???

Hi All,
My 6 year old nephew is super into the App world, gaming, and technology as a whole. (not just saying this but he is much more advanced then any other child his age that i have come across)
I would love to get him into a class or a platform which can teach him the basics of coding.
Obviously it needs to be geared toward children and preferable in a coding language which can be used to easily create Apps and games.
If anyone knows of anything good please let me know.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
Mike

So i got introdued to the android gaming "industry"

Hello everybody, so i wanted to share my story today , please be kind or ignore this post if you wheren't a big fan of that kind of stuff
so about 3 years ago , my sister and i went to ET school , learned algorithm , c , c# and then html , css , javascript & php , then in our second year , our teacher asked us in the class : who would be interested in android developing, (he had in mind to create a gps app , maybe like taxi or bus ... that kind of app ) my sister & i raised our hands of coure as it would be a nice experience , we thought that it was going to be extremely hard as we would have to learn Java first , and then android programming, our teacher was very kind and though us the main differences between c# and Java , and then he introduced us to Eclipse , we had a crappy pc back then , and running the emulator was a pain in the ass , so we learned how to make calculator (everyone start with that i know ) , then form , and then we made a simple kids math game which turned out to be very nice (never went beyond our pc, we never published it ) , and then our teacher told us to start working with Databases , so we had the advantage of knowing SQL , and we where learning PHP at that time , so databases with android was okey , then we moved to the main project , android localisation , we created an app that was very nice and useful , but people in my country don't really rely on technology , so after we tried with the train station , buses , taxies .. everything , we gaved up .
Months later , my sister & i decided not to waste our knowlidge and to create an android game and no , we didn't quit our job , we are not sure that this would work , so we had to keep an income and work at night at the game, so after 5 months of hard work we have finished creating our first game. It´s not so amazing or groundbreaking, but we learned a lot while we were developing it. All the assets (game art and sound) are made by us , we spent months working on this "project". This was a major challenge, to create a graphically nice game with no money to spend on game art. if anyone had any questions , feel free to ask , i would try my best to answer most if not all the questiond .
If anyone made it all the way down here , and was curious to see our game , here is it : http://bit.ly/1Do2XQW
any reviews or rating would be very appreciated have a nice day
Thanks for sharing your story and very cool game!! I noticed some minor graphic glitches. Please see below; these are suggestion or things I experienced. I am running Sense 7.0 Android L 5.0.1 custom ROM.
1. As soon the game starts, there is a graphic glitch but it goes away pretty quick.
2. As the car driving; there is some sorta motion of the car leaving trail behind; I was not sure if that was a glitch or special effect?
I will let you know if I see any other issues.

Hello badboy , i'm not sure what kind of glitches are you getting ? could you make a quick screenshot or clip to show me the error ?
and if you click on the NOS , you get a little smoke behind the car , so i'm not pretty sure if that the second glitch you where talking about
PS : could you mention the device & android version ? thank you
I will post a video later today or tomorrow.

Making a game...
Hey,
I know how you feel working a full time job and making a game on the side. This is what I have been doing and just finished my first game using the unity engine. I have also programmed a game prior using just Java, not with the android SDK though. I used Netbeans and not eclipse, but then later switched to eclipse. Best of luck to you its tough out there on the app store!

Project ARC. Getting kids/teenagers into the world of development!

Hey there! My name is Josh! I wanted to share some information on a project me and some friends have been working on for a few years now that recently has taken off! It is called aproject ARC Android rom creater's. Pretty much what it is is older guys like me with knowledge on coding and things of that nature. It is a after school/summer program for children and teenagers to learn the art of coding and building custom roms from source! We are currently hoping to expand this program into other states. Me and a friend originally stated it for our own kids and soon all the kids at school found out about what they were doing and learning and as you know kids these days can't live without there phone! So we figured.. since we can not beat them why not join them! Or better yet.. teach them! And that's what we did! I would live to see this go into more states and get more kids involved with it! As some of you may know.. the custom rom era is getting dry and it would be amazing to see these young minds bring more cool crap to the table! So we are currently seeking other like minded people that would love to get the kids and even adults! Into this! We also are currently seeking donor devices for them to learn on as this year for the summer camp we already have 46 students involved! The classes are free so getting devices for them to learn and practice on is a little hard with free classes lol! So if anyone would wanna help in that aspect as well that would be fantastic! Thanks for checking this out and hope to see some people interested!
