[Q] Can't change firmware - Motorola Atrix 2

I already flash "InlineFlashing_Edison_67.21.125_CFC_P3_APBP.xml" from 591.com (I don't remember and found what forum). I really don't know not att phone musn't flash this firmware, then I can't flash any other firmware.
Is there a way to fix that?
PS Sorry about my english.

We need more info: Is your phone AT&T or International (Retail). What did you did? You flashed at&t fw to retail a2? If yes - you're screwed... You should never ever flash AT&T fw to retail 2, because cdt.bin version increases & you cannot downgrade to retail one.
If you done that & have warranty, better is bring to it, they'll couple times try flash retail fw which will fail.. And they will change mainboard. If yours warranty is over, you'll live with that problem... Only temporaly fix is flash kexec based rom (if you aren't kexec reject).

[Q] Why RSD can't flash original UAE firmware to UAE Atrix2

Hello!
I am have some strange problem.
Have Atrix 2 MB865 and it is UAE, that i think. May be it mistake, but this photo of phone back.
Via RSD can successfuly flash only InlineFlashing_Edison_67.21.125_CFC_P3_APBP.xml.zip (is off for ATT). Any other images not flash without errors including official for UAE. The are errors with cdt.bin and recovery.bin.
The phone not have any ATT logotypes and initially was have some 2.3.x firmware (I do not have more information about what was in store phone firmware)
I can flash JB leak 3 without cdt.bin and recovery.bin, and it work, but camera not.
I can flash MIUI v4 ,it work, but battery so short lifetime.
I can't flash Unofficial MIUI v5 , have boot loop.
WTF?

MB865 does not necessarily mean it's an AT&T phone. If it is an AT&T model it will be quite obvious since it clearly says AT&T on the front of the phone.
If I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be making money in a very weird way.

So...
EMEI say - is UAE, but RSD can't flash any other image include off UAE, but only ATT. Why. May be some modules or identificators was rewrote with ATT image. I have no idea, and already use forum search and google (
You wont be able to flash any firmware except at&t. Because you flashed at&t 125. cdt.bin number increased & you can't downgrade, but if it works good (no battery drain & etc) leave it. Still you will not be able to downgrade to UAE fw... RSD will keep throwing cdt.bin err...

If you have the AT&T model, you can ONLY flash AT&T firmware. That's why you're getting an error.

It will not turn back to flash on ME?
No. The cdt.bin version number (aka burned eFuse) increases to at&t one and can't be downgraded or changed... So you got at&t model forever.

So why can not I flash 4.1? The same increase in the firmware and not a fall.
And the second question when installing bootloader A73 (I have A72)?
Here's the way it turns out in piercing

Because that firmware wasn't meant for AT&T phones. Now that you've flashed the AT&T firmware you're stuck with it. There's no way to upgrade, and no way to downgrade. You can still root and flash ROMs though.

(You can still root and flash ROMs though) --- What does this mean?
But what about now be firmware radio?
there is a difference between ME and MB.
It turns out that I have a radio from ME but flashed firmware from MB.

[Q] Flash SM-N915W8 (Canadian Note Edge) firmware onto a SM-N915V (Verizon) phone?

I'm thinking no, but wondering if it is OK to flash a stock Odin fw that is different from the device's carrier? Has anyone tried this? From what I recall from other Samsung devices, worst case is it would fail but not brick the phone. But still want to see if there's any feedback for this phone.
Have a SM-N915V here (SIM unlocked) in Canada and would like to flash a Rogers stock fw onto it if possible.
I guess NO
Reason : both the device have different partitions(that is the only thing i guess). if partitions can be matched it can be tried as hardware is more or less same.
Still i would suggest take a full Nandroid backup including the efs, and flash the firmware, even if you brick you can recover.
Thanks. I assume this is where .PIT's come in - but I understand the danger of force-flashing a PIT of one model to another model. Too scared to brick. Will stick with Verizon firmware ;D

Should I flash my Galaxy S7 Verizon to stock firmware in West Africa?

Hello.
I have a Galaxy S7 that I got about 5 weeks ago. I paid to have it in the box but the person got a secondhand one. I am in West Africa but someway somehow I got a Verizon one that is unlocked for any carrier. Anyway I checked and some functions were not working. Private mode is not working, there's no software update option anywhere (I checked developer mode) and some features I've seen on YouTube are not even on the phone. I'm stuck on Android 6 and can't update so I made up my mind to flash a custom ROM but turns out Verizon's bootloader is locked which will make such a task impossible. Some days ago though, I found out that official Verizon ROMs can be flashed without unlocking the bootloader and this raised some questions which I want to ask here.
Here's the info at the about phone page
MODEL NUMBER - SM-G930V (there's Verizon on the back of the phone so I think this is true)
ANDROID VERSION - 6.0.1
BASEBAND VERSION - G930VVRU4API3
BUILD NUMBER - MMB29M.G930VVRU4API3
1. Can I really flash a stock Verizon ROM for the Galaxy S7 without bricking my phone and with a locked bootloader?
2. If I were to flash a stock Verizon ROM will the phone be locked to Verizon again? I'm asking this because this is the only phone I have and I'm supposed to use this for 2 years!
3. Should I flash the same baseband version or will another Verizon one work?
4. If all the above questions are true, where can I get official Verizon stock ROM for my device?
If you have any questions for me please let me know.
Thanks

Yes, you can flash Verizon stock firmware without issues, as long as you are not trying to flash an older Verizon stock firmware than the version you already have. In other words, you can upgrade, but you can't downgrade.
As for flashing a west African firmware, Nn, Verizon devices have a locked bootloader, the locked bootloader will not allow you flash anything except Verizon stock firmware. Attempting to flash anything from another region or from a different device will only result in a soft-bricked or hard-bricked device. You can only flash the Verizon stock firmware for your specific model number.

Hi! Thanks for replying! So where can I get a Verizon stock firmware that is an upgrade of mine and what region should I download from? Also which version of ODIN should I use?
Thank you very much!

whats best way to flash unbranded SM-G715U1 to U for vzw?

So both my phone and vzw branded phone are same model, and android 11 firmware is out for verizon and my phone received the G715U1UEU7BUC3 ota 11. Is the latest Odin software and verizon G715USQU7BUC1 firmware what i need to get it done?
Also, do i need to do the full flash or can i get by with just one file that includes all the vzw bloatware. From what ive read i can get by with flashing just the userdata file. Once complete ive also read i need to do a factory reset and that it can be done i DL mode. Is that true? Finally can i leave my sim in for this or should it be out
?
?
Anybody??
Not even a response from Europe where they must hand these xcover pro's out with every gas tank fillup.
I have the latest version of odin installed and downloaded the verizon ota firmware G715USQU7BUC1 and am ready to give it a shot. I would just like a little confirmation im on the right track. Bootloader versions are the same. (bootloader is still locked) Even a grunt would do..........
