I am enjoying my GS4 for about 1 month.
Since about one week I have a lot of dropped calls and very slow internet.
If I use my GS3 with the same sim card, I have no issue.
Any ideas of what could be the cause?

I can't say anything on that. It will void your warranty..
You could try another modem. Hope it helps..
I tried different roms, different modems...
Everything works great except the weak signal...
Anyone has an idea?

I put one of these dumb stick on antennas (as seen on TV) on the back of my battery and it sucked so I removed it. Now I can't get 4g I only get 3g. Any ideas on how to fix?

But if your getting 3g that is great...4g is a misunderstanding...
Can you make:

Never heard of this antenna thing but if it really did hurt something I would say a wipe and reflash would fix your problem.

Those things do absolutely nothing. You probably just have network issues.

Alright so I've called the idiots over at AT&T over five times now and they are telling me its a device issue, even though its now happening on all of my family lines (different phones). Can't receive calls, texts are delayed like crazy, and its even been happening to my parents so I'm fairly certain its a network problem. Let's say its a device issue, I'm running the ICS leak, is there any way to factory reset? Or would that brick me? Idk what to do to solve this dumb problem and AT&T is trying to crawl itself out of a hole.

You should be able to factory reset with no problem (through stock recovery).

You sure? I need another opinion on this. Bricking would be bad.

Second Opinion is a good idea. I've done it before though.

Any of the devs have any input on what to do to fix this perhaps?
Sent from my MB865 using xda app-developers app
This may sound silly but go out of town for a bit. Try and travel about 20 miles to move away from your cell tower. If the problem persists, its your phone. If it starts working and you have no issues, then the cell tower near you may be having severe issues.
If its the cell tower, call them up and complain.

Also, its sporadic. Sometimes I get a period where the texts are not late and then there are periods where the texts can be minutes and sometimes even hours late.

I have had this issue with almost every phone I've had on AT&T, and every rom I've had on my A2, including the stock one.
When I text this person I can send them text and they get it but when they reply I won't get it. They got a new phone and still the same problem. I've download hand cent to see if that would but nope.
If it helps they are on metropcs
I'm running cm10
I had this problem in my incredible and this phone. It's the same two people, has to be something on their end. Or in this case, I guess your end. Annoying though.

Does 4g not work?
I'm showing 3g right now and normally get 4g in the area i'm in (i'm at work not home).
NVM it just showed the H symbol over 3g. I know it's Fake 4g, but normally here never drop to 3g on GB, seems to be more stable at 3 and rarely get H.

The way ics asop roms handle 3g over 4g is unless you NEED 4g it will default to 3g. Update a app or two and see what happens.

Ahh very cool. NOw i've read about the wifi signal issue which isn't an issue except for wifi calling. Guess it doesn't matter since it crashes but in the future if that takes off and works.
Flashed it last night. Everything is great except the wifi calling. Can't make and receive calls.

Love this. Only issue I have been having is wifi is slow even tried various modems from FB but each seems to have a downfall, lb6 made wifi fastest out of them all but then my service bars bounce up and down and lose signal inside buildings. Still figuring all this stuff out since this is my first flash. Thanks!

Sorry if this has been answered or I missed a thread...is the difference between this version and 20130227 is that wi-fi calling works on this ROM?
No. And wifi-calling still doesn't work on ICS... closest it got was accepting text messages, but the wifi app still crashed on calls.
Does this ROM support bln?

It's a kernel thing. Proton kernel doesn't do bln but hefe will. The downside I think is that the backlights will stay on while the screen is on. Although I think some people have both working with some combination of rom and kernel. Ultragen I think.
Ok thanks for the reply

Does it have no signal everywhere? Or does it seem to be localized to one tower? It might be a tmobile tower issue, maybe your getting refarmed.
I have signal now
And it just dropped...
I have another blaze but It was "defective" so I unrooted it ,used triangle away and flashed stock firmware so now it says Samsung official and my tracks are cleared but the replacement won't be here until Thursday and on my other blaze I had signal everywhere! Never dropped under 3 bars on that blaze, and on the current blaze I'm using now i rarely ever get above 2 bars and signal constantly drops
