[Q] USB Ethernet Adapter - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has anyone been able to get a USB Ethernet adapter to work with the Note 10.1? I see a lot of other devices are capable is there anything that can be done to add or enable this functionality on our device?

[Q] 3.1 Host Mode & USB Ethernet

Does anyone know if the new host mode interface in 3.1 supports a USB Ethernet adapter? I'd like to be able to use one of these when I'm traveling and at a hotel that only has wired connections.

I wouldn't think so you would probably need some proprietary drivers to make the adapter work
Why not go with a small travel router? It's one more thing to carry but would satisfy the lan line only issue.
This one got some good reviews, not too pricey:

What about other uses? I'd love to have a usb serial adapter and a usb ethernet adapter so I can use the xoom for adminning devices and such.
linux drivers
Android uses a normal linux kernel, so anything supported by linux will be supported. I have used an external wifi, ethernet and usb-serial with an Android phone.

[Q] Are there any USB Ethernet drivers in the kernel?

Anyone know whether there are any USB Ethernet drivers in the kernel, so that I can connect a USB wired ethernet adapter into the OTG port?
I'd like to use the Tab2 to control an Elphel camera out in the wilds...

[Q] Samsung Smart Dock/USBOTG + Tethering?

Phone: Galaxy Note 3
I'm considering buying the Samsung Smart Dock and have a question and couldn't find the answer anywhere.
Basically I'm wanting to tether my phone's data connection to a Sapido cellular router to create a wifi network (I don't want to root and I don't want to Hotspot because of extra data charges). But I also would like to use my Note 3 like a desktop (output the display and add keyboard and mouse).
Right now I see a solution to tether through the micro USB connection, use Screen Mirroring/Allshare Cast, and bluetooth the keyboard and mouse.
I was wondering if the Smart Dock would provide the same solution? It could output HDMI, and you could add the keyboard and mouse using the USB OTGs, but the tethering connection is the question.
I'm hoping the third USB OTG port on the Smart Dock could be used as the tethering connection. So basically the phone would have to do USB OTG and tethering at the same time.
My question is, has anyone tried tethering through a USB OTG port on the Smart Dock, or is it even possible to use USBOTG and tethering at the same time?
Any other info appreciated.
Thank you!

Or does anyone have ANY solution for outputting internet access through USBOTG?

Would it be possible to use USB 2.0 graphics on Nexus 5?

I am wondering, because it would be awesome to build some kind of dock and convert Nexus 5 to laptop. Does anyone know if it's in any way possible to use an external screen with USB OTG hub? Does anyone know how to make that possible?
I have already running USB HUB that is able to charge N5 and use keyboard, mouse and usb flash stick. Only thing that I need is an external monitor.

Power, keyboard and ethernet all at once via USB-C?

Hey all! I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about how to accomplish this.
I'm trying to have an external keyboard, hardwired internet and power going to my Tab A (SM-T510) all at once via the USB-C port.
Is this kind of setup doable? I'm not sure what the limits are of USB-C handling multiple functionalities like this or if there are existing products that could handle this.
Any ideas what is possible here?

To connect Android device to wired network an OTG to Ethernet adapter is required. Note this only will work if device supports it.

Do you know if I can supply power at the same time?
And could I *also* add an external keyboard as a 3rd function?
