General Info & Introduction
~Android Open Source Project: Or in short AOSP. Android is an open-source software stack created for mobile phones and other devices. The Android Open Source Project (AOSP), led by Google, is tasked with the maintenance and further development of Android. Many device manufacturers have brought to market devices running Android, and they are readibly available around the world.
~Rooting: Android rooting is the process of allowing users of smartphones, tablets, and other devices running the Android mobile operating system to attain privileged control (known as "root access") within Android's subsystem. Rooting is often performed with the goal of overcoming limitations that carriers and hardware manufacturers put on some devices, resulting in the ability to alter or replace system applications and settings, run specialized apps that require administrator-level permissions, or perform other operations that are otherwise inaccessible to a normal Android user.

My review of this ROM :
First off I have done everything written in the instructions (I only installed newer armoa gapps)
bootanimation looks good, except one frame is white...
The I had the first graphical issues in setup of country etc. The text and the icons were sometimes overlapping. But after the setup the text in launcher and apps was normal again.
At first the launcher, especially the app drawer, were a little bit slow and the cpu frequency was a long time on 998mhz. I used smartassV2 so the frequency was lower when I don't do anything
I changed some options (only workspace and user interface, which defines workspace UI + apps default UI) an rebooted, since then there were graphical issues ll the time in launcher:
in appdrawer only 2 rows, really large icons, the clock only shows one hand, the search field is partially black...
I don't know what I did wrong, I try to reinstall and keep the normal settings, then I only change the settings for each single pp, I don't know what I did wrong :/
Despite that I'm lucky that someoe tries to continue (restart) the development/port of Paranoid to our Desire
Edit: I could change the workspace options without any issues, just the user interface options made problems...
Edit2: and I would appreciate it If you could use another search app instead of the one installed, it has Android 2.x style and doesn't fit that good to the new look of Android
I had exact problems as Androidmarketuser with this rom.

Google Now should replace that, I'm not attracted by this app either, PA includes it by default
Thanks for feedback
Kinda silly question.. is it the same base as nikez jb rom?
Edit: Tried the rom and this REALLY need A LOT of work to be even usable. I had the same problem as the one above with the wierd fonts and stuff + the phone started up in something like phablet mode (font sizes, setting with two columns etc.) but after changing workspace to tablet ui it changes to a phone mode... WTF?! i really recommend to work on the next version before posting it on the forum
Edit2: Oh, and there's no lock screen

The new version is much much faster for me (maybe I did sth wrong before or it is just the new kernel)
Really good, now I can use it as my daily ROM :good:
I updated my phone from a Legend to a Desire recently. On my Legend, I built ICS PA. I like a lot PA and obviously I wanted to try this.
The ROM is great, everything is working or has very few bugs. Smoothness is not perfect, but butter effect has not yet been obtained and this is still great. Only one thing that is not allowing me to use this as daily ROM : Paranoid Settings. They does not change anything, and after a first change ( I tried to enable Tablet Mode ) I had a lot of graphical Issue. Statusbar is still Phone Mode, everything is still Phone Mode, but the screen is stretched, like full screen, and overlapps with statusbar. The problem may be in the app and not in the framework, so I'm trying to edit DPI and layout manually. In ICS PA there was a pad.prop in system. I read that it has been removed. I can't remember where the new file is ( even if there is a .prop file in JB PA ). Could you tell me where to find if it exists? Many many thanks, and great job with this ROM man!
EDIT : found propieties.conf : /system/etc/paranoid. And also found the cause of my issues. After a change within the Paranoid app, propieties.prop has been totally cleaned. I'm trying to replace it.
EDIT2 : bootloop. Restored Spaze Dog. I'll wait for a fix ( if this need a fix ) or try next weekend

I am using Tablet Mode in this very moment, but I never had these issues. Did you use r3 or r4? Maybe wipe failed?
Or didn't you apply the framework "fix"?
Right now, I massively debloated bootanimation, it's a lot faster and a lot smoother and the white screen is fixed.
Also Nova should be a lot more stable, I haven't had any framework issues / wallpaper resets. Pls share experiences when r4.2 is up (only dalvik and cache wipe)
The patch is not flashable, but it contains changed files.

Other Info
All in all, this ROM is Cyanogenmod 10.1 with a few graphic changes. It also includes various extra features that have been cherry picked from multiple sources. In addition this ROM is compiled without the use of cchache and only full clean builds are released. This means that it will take longer for me to compile, however it will result in a reduced chance of bugs and maybe even an increase in performance.

Fixes & Add-On's
Restore Stock Font - removes the preinstalled custom font, and replaces it with the Jellybean's default Roboto font.
Restore Stock Lockring - removes the chromium logo lockring, and replaces it with the stock lockring.
Fix Tearing (Build 10 ONLY) - fixes graphical tearing issues found in build 10. It is no longer needed to use the "Disable HW overlays" option.
Disable Button Backlight - disables the backlight on the desires hardware buttons.
White Softkeys - Replaces the holo blue softkeys with white ones
More Stuff & FAQ
How do I disable Navigation Bar?
Settings > Chromium ROM settings > Button Height > 0dp (off)
Im getting graphical issues & tearing throughout some apps in build 10. How do I fix this?
First go to Settings > About phone > Tap on Build number 7 times. That will enable the Developer options menu. Go into it and enable "Disable HW overlays".
This should solve all of these issues, but keep in mind that this option does not stick after a reboot. Therefore you will need to re-enable it upon each boot.
**There is now a fix for this - Download and flash it from the Fixes & Add-On's section above**
Recommended Settings for Performance:
First go to Settings > About phone > Tap on Build number 7 times. That will enable the Performance menu. Then go into it and choose these:
Processor:
CPU Governor - Performance
Min CPU Freq. - 460MHz
Max CPU Freq - 1113MHz
I/O scheduler:
I/O scheduler - CFQ
Memory management:
zRam - 26%
Allow purging of assets - Enabled
KSM - Enabled
Also install Nova launcher, as Trebuchet (the stock launcher) seems to be a bit laggy.
Here are some screenshots of the battery life im getting after a day of heavy usage:
Almost 4 hours of screen on time...Keep in mind that i still have another 20% battery left in the screenshots.
could you please make it compatible for Data++ hboot.?? i.e 180 system

I could try, but I don't think I can make it that small. I've already removed a lot from.it.
Why not just use a2sd?...it works fine

also i completely forgot to add a gapps download...i was too focused on getting the rom to boot. So does anyone have a gapps package that works well with this? Let me know and I'll add it to the OP. One more thing, has anyone tested jelly hboot? Should work fine, just wondering
Giving me status 7 error upon flashing. Could be because of my data partition, it's full of bad blocks, I used jelly hboot.
Great ROM ! Fast & Stable since yesterday. No soft reboot and Wifi work great.

Thanks. To disable the navbar:
-navigate to /system
-open build.prop
-look for this line and remove it:
Code:
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
Then reboot
It is possible to add this style of Navbar to other CM10.1 based ROMS?

Re: [ROM]<--CHROMIUM ROM v1.0-->[JB 4.2.2][CM10.1]
You could copy the systemui.apk into another ROM, but its possible that it won't work.
Or you could just download the soft keys that you want and manually put them into your ROMs systemui yourself...that's guaranteed to work.

same as cm10.1, which is stable:good:
I must say, with all the tweaks and customizations that seem specific for our hardware, or at least performed with our device in mind, I'm definitely interested in giving this ROM a shot as new DD to replace SilverL's unofficial 4.2.2 I've been using since July.
Did a test install and everything seemed to be working real good. Not a huge fan of the terminal-ly looking font (from sense I guess) but I'm sure that's probably configurable somewhere that I haven't bothered to look yet, or in one of the 2 included super customizers.
I'll post up my thoughts if I do go DD with this but in the meantime, I'd love to hear opinions from anyone else that's installed and used so far. Might be my new fav 4.2.2 rom until a fully usable 4.3 (in my head at least) comes out.
Before switching from emmanuels 4.3 version to this i have to ask:
- is the keyboard popup lag fixed when using the hw keyboard?
- if you will update this anytimes...are you considering implementing halos? (Sorry if i may sound demanding...i am not...just curious )
- thanks for the build and all the hard work in advance

Maybe it was the fact I didn't do a full absolute clean slate wipe before flashing (way too busy to reinstall all my apps and settings manually and I don't trust auto-backup apps) but there was an issue with Media closing on its own when I tried opening camera, and took an act of congress to get it to let me out of the f/c loop. I'll do a full wipe if and when I get time because this looks interesting to me.
You want feedback... will you take feature requests and suggested improvements? I offer them with respect, of course, but you might not like my opinion is all

FEATURES
- PIE (with immersive mode on)
- PEEK
- HOVER
- Non intrusive phone call notification
- Legacy parts (is simply a sub-menu that consolidates all of cm/device specific coding and features into one location to prevent a mash with ParanoidAndroid setup)
- PA Wallpapers
- New CM Theme Manager
- CM's cLock
- CM's File Manager
- OmniSwitch
- OmniTorch
- Advanced Power Menu
- Quick Settings (Tiles)
- Status and Navigation Bar See Through
BRAVO SPECIFIC
- Linux 2.6.38 kernel: my self-brew "Utopian" for htc qsd8k-devices (very close to EV kernel plus additional cpu governors and all applicable security patches that are recommended here)
- Latest Adreno libs from AU_LINUX_ANDROID_JB_VANILLA_04.02.02.060.053 (build date: 2013/04/11)
- Trackball to wake the device (not to unlock it)
- OmniTorch as substitute for PA's lightbulb (as it does not work on our device)
- ParanoidOTA removed because it is useless for my homemade rom
- A few tweaks for faster scrolling, longer battery life and smoother overall performance
NOT WORKING
- MMS (present in all 4.x ROMs; Just use Textra SMS instead)
- Video recording (present in all 4.x ROMs)
- Screen recording (error: cannot create output folder)
- OpenVPN (kernel issue: cannot acquire tun interface socket)
- SELinux (disabled by intention)
- Xposed/GravityBox [KK] (causes bootloop)
- Quick tile to turn on/off lightbulb
- Notification/Battery LED
REQUIREMENTS
- An hboot with at least 250mb on system. These include stock hboot or Alpha Jelly (250/5/182) hboot
- A 512mb - 1.5gb EXT partition (EXT4 recommended) on your sdcard. Use this guide to create the partition. Partitions made using other tools (CWM, Minitool Partition Wizard, etc.) will likely cause issues.
- The latest TWRP (credits @Chromium) or 4EXT (credits @madmaxx82) Recovery. Old versions of CWM may cause issues.
INSTALLATION (follow this procedure exactly)
- Remove SIM card
- Full wipe
- Flash ROM
- Wipe Battery stats
- Boot ROM and let it settle down (3-5 min)
- Open up Terminal Emulator, type in 'su' and 'a2sd install ' (chose: Y/N/N)
- Reboot into recovery
- Flash my slim gapps
- Power off and insert SIM card
- Reboot
Have a nice day!
P.S.: You may want to compile it yourself:
Code:

Why soft buttons, since there is PIE? Personally, I use Button Savior.
PIE is not as useful as real softkeys.. I guess I can install xposed and gravitybox to enable softkeys? I thought softkeys can be enabled/customized on paranoid roms

I have observed that a few rom customizing options from AOSPA 3 are not (yet) present in AOSPA 4. And also that there is no special paranoid settings section any more -- instead we have now "Legacy parts" which consolidates all of cm/device specific coding and features.
About Xposed and GravityBox (don't install on this rom):
I was able to install Xposed, but GravityBox is not working on this rom. After installing it, my phone went into a bootloop. :/

Oh and also there is not a option to change the capacitive buttons for example the menu with recent apps switcher ( i know that i can with xposed)...

For hotspot option to appear in QS :we have to switch on the hotspot once .Then it will get appeared.
I didn't post it on XDA due the sim card bug. Yes this one also has it. But if you guys are using it do tell me how frequent it is on this one and OP you need to update the kernel source link https://github.com/lenovo-Kraft-T/android_kernel_lenovo_msm8916/tree/cm-13.0
For the sim bug ,i have a solution ,no need to reboot.
Don't use the device after some seconds(>20) of boot .It will automatically detect both the sims. MM roms take time to detect sim.

At the first boot it the default first time setup wizard i had to skeep the mobile data activator because the rom wasn't able to recognize the sim card, but after that i didn't even have to reboot and the sim was recognized. I have rebooted the phone several times and haven't experienced it yet. I will report tommorow for more detailed overview.
Best Kraft MM ROM I've tried to date.
Stable, great performance, no bugs found yet besides 2 very slight ones.
Switching Themes causes:
1. The first drag-down of the notification panel makes it offset to the side, but only once.
2. System UI has a chance to crash afterwards while opening an app.
Screenshots of both:

Oh, and as you can see from the 2nd screenshot, totally compatible with God's Kernel R2 and working phenomenally.

No problems in general, really.
Edit: Yeah, there is an audio routing problem bypassable with this app.
The installation sequence was.
(The Recovery i used was TWRP 3.0.2.0
1. Full Wipe (Sys/Data/Cache/ART-Dalvik)
2. Install Beanstalk
3. Install GApps
4. Install God's Kernel
5. Reboot
Note: All of the zips were installed over Sideload, this shouldn't be important or relevant to the installation, but i thought I'd give as much detail. After a while i also flashed xposed fw and it works just fine. That's all i can tell you at this moment.
Extra: I noticed that it will sometimes (but extreeeeemelly rarely (twice in 3 days) soft-reboot by itself. As well as the External SD-Card not having right permissions, so the stock CM File Manager can't access it, i suggest using a 3rd party one (FX File Explorer did the trick, personally).

Thanks a lot
The battery life after a full day of on mobile network.
Using Gods Kernel R2.
I faced very heavy battery drain and overheating. In idle with vattery saving mod on for 40 minutes from 15% to 4%. The phone was very very hot!

Use God's Kernel R1. R2 has some issues which keeps the cpu frequency high
Seems like I can't get access to my files in phone via computer. ROM just automatically switching to charging only mode, any ideas what I can do?
