I have tried the dialer code but it just factory resets my phone. i did however get my MEID back my phone info below

Disregard last comment. You are going to need to inject your imei. If you have the box your phone came in, that would be great.

Imei is also behind the battery should be able to restore it using qpst I just had to do this. If you search for how to restore imei with qpst you should find a tut. Don't have a link atm.

I have odin back to ics 4.0.4 and then tried the dialer code to no luck, then tried a stock 4.1.2 and no luck. I did get my meid back doing this and my phone number is still correct. I do have qpst as i have flashed a few phones to cricket. Would just hate to screw up my replacement s3. I dont have original box as it was an insurance replacement so i believe its a refurb.ill look for a qpst instruction page but if anyone knows the link i would greatly appreciate it. I was able to get my text and talk back but still stuck in data roaming..... so i guess qpst is next step. Btw i did flash back to PA 3 4.2.2. Should i odin back to stock b4 using qpst??

fixed
Got it working after two days of messing with it. Used the samsung xda restore app, it was hard to find the .rar but i was able to simply type in g imei. Strange part is someone had mistakenly typed my imeid into verizon stating that it was lost or stolen so once i called verizon with the proper imei provisioned i was good to go. Thank u all for ur help!XDA is the best site for accurate feedback from people who care.

Woooo xda!

Your baseband is unknown.. hmmm you should try restocking your tab that should reinstall ur modem. It might fix it. But before that check and see if ur tab still has an IMEI number.

A few months back my s2 fell in water and apparently I didn't let it dry enough before powering it own. When I did it came in and everything worked except reading the sim. And of course it had no imei number and no baseband. I had a friend check the hardware out after I tried to flash it back to stock and tried flashing the imei back with one of those boxes like the z3x I think that's its name. But it turned out there is a chip on the board that holds this information that got fried. But everything else worked fine. But I could forget using a sum on it again. So my guess was maybe that same chip on ur board might be the issue if u tried flashing back to stock and it didn't work. Or u could have that random efs corruption problem. But seeing as flashing a stock rom won't kill no one I would suggest u go back to stock and see what happens. And btw did u check and ssee if u sill have an imei number? And yeah u check by dialing *#06#

And about the imei number there are a lot of things associated with imei. For one its like ur devices ID there are some apps that are linked to imei like viber and things like that if I'm not mistaken. Without imei its like ur device has no identity. Its sorta how ur carrier recognizes ur device. So if u have no imei u have no phone. Or any telephony u have a tab with working wifi, Bluetooth and u can do almost anything but no mobile data and no calls. But lets hope that's not ur issue. Good luck man.

issue: Complete Signal Loss

I have 4g Infuse, I recently flashed the current BeanStalk 20130318, with current gapps. ever sense my signal will work for a bit then when if I idle my phone for a hr or two the signal drops completely as if no sim was in it. I have tried updated apn's, updating modems, fresh wipes. Flashing older versions, anytime my phone idles it wont reconnect the signal. any ideas or help appreciated.
What's your imei say ,if it's symbols flash cm 10 then your rom of choice usually fixes imei problems

Seems the Imei is indeed gone, tried to flash c10.1 with no fix but going to follow the imei tutorial here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1873954 hopefull to fix it.

No signal

I just flashed CleanROM on my S3, and now I have no signal, and when I do I cant make or receive calls or anything.
I flashed it on my brothers phone before doing it to mine a day before, and his works wonderfully. Should I just give the phone a day? If so, and it doesn't work by tomorrow should I simply flash a new radio or reflash CleanROM?
Check under settings> more settings> mobile networks. You should be set to global setting. If it already is set that way, switch to gsm of CDMA and the switch back to global. That should do it. And obviously make sure your not in airplane mode, sync is on, mobile data enabled, ect.

Well did you backup your imei before flashing ROMs, as it was a thing to do in the guides of rooting your phone to begin with?

Well first your going to have to Odin back to the 4.0.4 stock G1 http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/C...w_ship.tar.zip
Then follow this following guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31051731
Or also try this if the above gives you no help
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29462348
You do have to re provision on the G1 4.0.5 as it this one only has the menu.
After all is good please you back up your imei just in case something goes wrong again a d to your friend to whoever you flashed the cleanrom for, back theirs up as well.

Of course not. Go figure. I backed up the phone I did it on originally, and didn't need to. Decided the process went so smoothly I wouldn't worry about backing this other phone up, and what do you know I should have. Just my luck. Anyway, I'll try to follow the directions IMEI repair tool. Hopefully this will go smoothly.

I got the IMEI back using the first link without reverting back to anything. However, so far I still have no signal. I guess I have to revert then? The reason I didn't convert is because I found the tool before reading your reply and it didn't mention anything about reverting.

Fixed it. Reverted back to stock 4.0.4, still had no signal, typed in the dialer *2767*3855# and this solved everything.

Way ahead of you. Got it backed up with 4.0.4. Thanks for your help and patience man. You get a thanks from me.
Also, I think it should be noted for everyone else that after flashing back to stock 4.0.4, you can save yourself a lot of drama by using that code. Also, you do get stuck into a boot loop when reverting back(I and many others did that I read), simply boot into recovery(yes stock recovery) and do a full wipe. This is probably mentioned somewhere though.

Help needed for BRICK

I think I may have finally done it. I flashed the latest slim rom (vers 6) today, booted into the ROM and set it up. No problems. Then I flashed faux mainline kernel. I followed the instructions for the kernel install, and hit reboot as last step. The phone shut off and did not reboot. I am now unable to turn on, boot into recovery, or download mode. When I attempt to connect to the PC to try and ODIN back to stock, the phone will not connect to the PC. I have the latest Samsung drivers installed and have connected to my PC previously with no problems. I know I downloaded and installed the right version for my phone, I have flashed kernels many times before.
Am I screwed now? I have insurance on the phone, but really would like to get the phone back from the grave if at all possible. Any help offered would be greatly appreciated.
Never heard of the kernel ... Got a link to it???

Going through the history of my browser, it looks like I did a bone head and flashed a Nexus 4 kernel to my VZ GS3. Am I screwed?
Possibly ... Your kernel tells your phone what to do and how to do it ... If you can't get Odin to connect there's a big issues but I've never flashed a wrong kernel so research around a bit for more info ... You can't get into download mode or recovery mode??

[Q] [Help]Attempting to Unroot Phone, Phone's Powercycling

Hello everyone. So today I tried to root my phone for the first time and all was fine. I could download and use apps that required root access. Then I tried to flash CM 10.1.3, and that's where things got messy. After I flashed, it was saying that unauthorized software was on my phone, and I had to go to verizon. I figured this was because my bootloader unlock didn't work. So I tried flashing a stock 4.1.2 rom, and now my phone's just powercycling. Any ideas? Yes, I am new to this, feel free to yell at me for being an idiot for forgetting some obvious thing.
I think you need to Odin back to a stock build and then repeat the entire process of rooting, unlocking, etc.
I could also be wrong, so we'll get yelled at together.

You'e right lol
@Elerock, does powercycling = stuck at the Verizon LTE splash screen or boot animation? If so, boot into recovery (hold power, home, and volume up) then do a factory reset. Root and unlock following these directions.
