INVALID IMEI good phone to bad phone-WHAT? - General Questions and Answers

hi! i found a way to solve the INVALID IMEI issue and here it is:
1:Root the Z1 with -SuperOneClick-in Windows.
2:Install -root explorer-app from the market.
3:Copy the file:MP0B_001:from the good phone to the bad phone using root explorer.
4:Restart the phone.
(Location of MP0B_001: /data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/)
but i have a question, how will i know where's the bad phone? where exactly will i paste the MP0B_001? under what folder? i'm really confused right now. i can't understand the good phone to bad phone.
can someone help me? please?

I highly recommend you use this tutorial. It's very detailed and even includes screenshots. As for the guy up there ^ you either be more detailed or just don't say anything, cause I doubt anyone NEW will understand what you said.

[Q] No operating system

Hello,
I have a problem: after playing with the format-reset-mounting...options on my galaxy gt-i9103 the phone seems not to have any operating system and it stays on all the time....
I am not a cell phone expert, but I have downloaded Odin3-v1.85 in my computer...dont know how to proceed or from where to download any operating system-drivers or else. Could anybody please advise me how to proceed? I have never done nothing before with cellphones, so any explanation should be made thinking I dont know nothin...not even which things to download...
Thank you in advance for your help
Why did you play with formatting if you don't know anything about it?
Sent from my OmniROM-powered LG Optimus 4X HD
I bought it on ebay, so I thought it was a good idea to start everything from cero... once i reinstall everything I am sure that i did a good thing...
May I get help?

[Completed] [Q] S5 G900V unknown IMEI/Baseband

Hi to you all
I know that there is no good fix for an unknown imei/basband .... which I had all of a sudden after installing an "apk"
anyways, i come to know that its a bad efs file, and unfortunately I don't have a backup .... so, I was told to find a copy of such a file from a similar s5 g900version and flash it.
The thing is I couldn't find an efs file, or make the phone work by flashing any ROM.
So, If anyone have an idea, I would appreciate it.
thanks

SM-G920I wrong model number (SM-G925F)

Hi everyone.
I've been reading this forum since a long time ago, until I finally decided to register a couple days ago, so I'm new here. (Hello world).
Please forgive me for my bad english, but it's not my native language. I'm from México.
I have an issue with my S6 (flat). The thing is that I've flashed succesfully (I think) a custom rom a few hours ago and I'm still testing it. Everything looks fine so far except for one weird issue that I haven't find to be disturbing no one but me even through I've searched for it, just one guy who reported this to be happen on a S3.
The problem is that me model number has changed to one from a S6 Edge, mine was SM-G920I and suddendly changed (after the flash) to SM-G925F.
The guy that posted this issue on its S3 said that you can modify its model number by rewritting its code with Root Explorer, but I dunno if this solution also applies to my case.
If someone can help me, I'd be very thankful.
Regards.
Don't worry about it. The custom ROM you installed was based on the edge firmware that's why.
I am using Back to N0t3 ROM and so my model number is now that of the Note 5.
If it worries you then you can edit the build prop entry "ro.product.model" and change it back.

Thanks a lot for your reply.
I was planning 'bout reflashing my rom, thinking that maybe something went wrong in the process, and I was stuck waiting for someone to answer my cuestion to move on installing apps etc. but now that I know that there's nothing to worry about, I can continue modding.
Can you please explain me the route to find the entry to change the model number? I know there's nothing to worry about, but I'm a little perfectionist hehe.
Regards from México.

Use a text editor or Root Explorer.
Navigate to /system and edit the build.prop file point said earlier and reboot. Make sure you dont edit anything else and don't make typos, else you can have an issue with booting (which can be so solved by putting back the original build.prop or reflashing the ROM).
