It didn't work that way unfortunately, I heard about some kernel modifications to allow USB Host controllers .. I'm now installing CM 10.1 hoping I can get my keyboard and mouse working

What mouse you got?

just an ordinary USB mouse, I tried it on my friend's Note 10.1 (N8000 with ICS 4.0.4) and it worked ! so can this be just a compatibility issue with my tab, or our GalaxyTab 2 or JellyBean doesn't support mouse at all ??

Very odd, I used a
Basic Logitech, Microsoft and an ibm mouse wired usb and all Work fine.
Are you using the original usb adapter?
I also have the ps3 controller WIRED working on stock no root 4.1.2 tab 2 10.1

I tried my OTG cable as well with Note 10.1, it works fine, I think it's not the problem ..
I can connect many peripherals as keyboard and flash memories (even a USB Modem), but for mice I couldn't .. I'll try another mouse just in case if the current mouse isn't compatible enough to work with the tab ..
and btw, did you need any additional apps to connect your PS3 controller?

No additional apps needed, remember I use a wireless ps3 but plugged in always.
Currently playing shadowgun deadzone and max Payne .
and starcraft with a mouse

Easy though? Connect your SGS to telly with tv-out and use a Bluetooth keyboard or attach an usb kind of plug-in on your SGS and connect with usb keyboard...
Et voila you can type and use whatsapp..

One my geekiest moments was hooking up my I9000 with the projector we had in the classroom and playing Manic Miner in a Spectrum emulator using a Wii controller. Although using my N810 as a bluetooth keyboard and mouse for my I9000 is also pretty geek.
BTW, PS3 controllers are the ones that use bluetooth (you can use them with the help of the Sixaxis app). You can only connect XBOX controllers through the USB port.

Does game controller work for you guys?

Hey i have a logitech usb game controller (Logitech F310) I plug it into the Samsung usb dongle and it does nothing.
any of you having problems using usb game controllers?

I know on the Nexus 7 Sony PS3 SixAxis bluetooth/USB is supported out of the box with USB connection and seems to be the universally supported controller. I don't have the cabling to try but the Sony controller works fine for me over bluetooth with SixAxis app (requires root) on GN 10.1.
Wii also works
You can also use the Wii with the classic controller attached.
I'm using it and works great.
You need to use Wiimote controller app for some to work.
I think most people have a Wii... Try it.
Ill try it out with other controller then. I find it weird because on the tf700 I used to have it worked great maybe because of the powered USB on the dock?

USB Hub 2 Gamepads?

Hey.
Is it possible to use a micro usb to usb cabel, plug in a usb hub and then 2 xbox 360 usb Controllers? is it possible to Play like n64. with those two Controllers?
I know it can be done with ps3 controllers with the six axis app. I know I have seen one that let's you use the 360 controller. Last time I checked though there wasn't a stable n64 emulator

Usb controller how to use on p6200

And i have the otg cord. Does it help anything?

you'll most likely require a rooted devices and the appropriate keylayout files. Some devices already have them installed in /system/usr/keylayout or /data/system/devices/keylayout but I haven't looked to see if the Tab 7+ does or not. I have noticed that alot of the really cheap tablets have a crap load of keylayouts already installed but the more expensive devices do not...
I tried to use a xbox controller but the tab wouldn't recognize it. I have used a keyboard and it works great. Any usb keyboard should work.

[Q] How can I get a wired xbox 360 controller to work on my tab 2?

I have seen a lot on the internet about getting PS3 and Xbox controllers to work on android phones and tablets but I haven't had any success in getting it to work. I connect my controller up to my OTG cable and then connect it to my GT-P5110 and when I do the controller lights up and continues flashing, but it doesn't work on any of the games that support it and doesn't seem to send any input to the tab. I also own a GT-I9100 and have tried it on that too with no success. Any information would be very helpful thanks.
NOTE: The OTG cables on my tab and my phone are both working fine for other things such as mouse and keyboard and usb flash memory. Also my phone is on stock 4.0.4 Rom and rooted with cf-root using the siyah kernel and the tab is also on stock 4.0.4 Rom and rooted but with stock kernel.

Not quite what I was looking for. I want an Xbox controller to control games and emulators on my tablet or phone. Excellent app though will have to try it out with my 360 later.

Me too... I have used my XBOX Controller on my Prime but not working on GTab2 7.0.
the apps I've seen are for connecting controllers thru BLUETOOTH, i don't know if it can be done WIRED.
does not work natively, need to use USB/BT Joycenter
