[Q] No headphones supplied as standard? - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

I have been using an xperia x10 for a few years which I was happy with. I'd unlocked and rooted it, the sound quality and speed of everything was great.
I just bought an xperia J, direct from Sony. I was surprised to find it had no headphones in the box, as my X10 came with headphones?
The X10 headphones don't fit the xperia J, and I have headphones for my tablet which also don't fit.
Aren't headphones supplied?
Does this mean I have to buy more??

Well, its supposed to be inside the box. So you should sony before buying it.

No earphones for me in the box either. A bit of a bummer because they are needed to make the radio work: I tried my sony earphones but they didn't work, and both the wife Blackberry and a colleagues Samsung earphones work, so I assume it needs to be earphones with microphone, hinting that the microphone wire serves as aerial.
Shame, especially since I find the USB A to micro cable and the mains to USB adapter quite good.

I also have the Xperia J and found no headphones in the box, but it seems that there are a few people who got the full package. It seems that these headphones come with the phone :

Sony hasn't given out earphones for our device(Jlo) for quite some time it sucks but oh well, However a regular pair of earphones/headphones should work, I believe it's 3.5, It'll work with or without a microphone, The radio doesn't need a earphone with microphones
^Worded all that like a kid not sure it makes sense but oh well

Seems I was lucky to have got one in the box...

What earplugs are you using with O1

What earplugs/headset/earphone are u using with this handset and how does it perform..Is the audio quality good?? What is the price that you bought it for?? Is it comfortable and easy to carryout around?? Wud u recommend it ???
Sony EX35LP ...
bought it when I was in Japan so dont remember the price ( maybe 1200 INR ??)
performance is decent ( I have used em previously with my Nokia 5800xm ... obviously they sounded better on the Nokia) ...
A super cheap but decent Creative headset xD Lacks bass.
I am using Creative EP630 its kinda very famous here and also the market lacks variety..I wud say the audio is an "big improvement" over the stock headset..However EP630 does not respond well to high frequencies producing some shrill and hiss noises..ITs Worth 700INR~USD$16 here
Dr.Dre Beats are the way to go
Philips SHP2700 are quite good. Not so mobile, but cheap and the sound quality is way better than my previous Koss Porta Pro (25th anniversary is such a crap).
default earplug with poweramp on classic preset = ownage
use the original earplug. but it was painful in my ear.
i m thinking to buying Philips She9500 next month...India is a very poor market for quality earpieces from klipsch or seinheiser..they are friggin costly..Philips/Creative or maybe SOny on Seinheiser
hiss problem exists with any other headset, except original
sennheiser HD202!!
AUSOME QUALITY....DA BEST WAY TO MAKE USE OF UR PHONE WEN ON DA MOVE FOR MUZIC!!
aaauuusssoooommee!!!
plz mention the price too in USD

I am using the nuforce ne-6 headphones (same as ne-7 but no mic). Cost about $45CDN.
I use Soundmagic Pl-11. They are excellent for the price of $10-15.

sennheiser HD202 - cheap and really good sound quality

Trouble with earphones

The stock earphones doesn't fit into my ears rather I have to forcibly push them deep into the ears to experience the actual(true) music quality causing hell-like earpain. Although, they provide good sound quality(stock accessories are always best) but I've to struggle everytime I want to listen music:banghead::banghead:
Pls. suggest me some earphones/headphones compatible with my FIT, easy to fix in earbuds with awesome full fledged music quality. Go in detail(if possible)
Thnks...

I guess you are not comfortable with canal ones,so in earphones I would suggest apple ones if you want awesome music quality (but you won't be able to use mic and earphone controller will be absent)
Other ones are stock galaxy Y and stock Ace earphones. They are compatible with our device.(you can try any other samsung ones too)
Also mention your budget,as headphones/earphones varies from few hundred to lakhs of INR.
the rubber part in canal earphones is given in 3 different sizes when we buy our phone .
you can try using a thinner diameter one

Price doesn't matter. Please tell me the details for headphones/earphones compatible & fully functional for fit (with awesome sound quality) easily fixable in earbuds...
& yes I have canal earphones(learned from above pic.) They get loose after sometime affecting the music effects. For example:- I cannot experience bass when they are slightly displaced from ears.

To be honest I'm not surprised. Leave your phone in your bag and carry a tiny little handset when you don't need the screen. Good idea - wonder if it is coming to the UK.

Ther's no reason why they won't selling it in UK.
that charging dock looks pretty nice
Magnetic? How do you eat that and how it differs from the standard dock.
Magnets? How do they work??

Will be Xperia Z compatible, seems only XZ Ultra ???
Only xz ultra, magnetic dock is compatible with.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk 2
XZ ultra uses something similar to the apple magnetic connector so no, unfortunately this dock won't be compatible with XZ.
Anyone know if the dock is charge only or can you transfer data with it too? It looks to be only for charging as far as I can tell.

It's not for the XZ and it's only to charge a phone.
Why is it that its too hard for them to make a universal charging dock. Thats why its not feasible to buy their docks. If they can make compatible to all their phones. Im sure they have a good profit here.

If you want extremely good sound quality and if you don't have much of a budget, I suggest the Bose Soundlink II

If you want good sound and more of a budget I suggest the Jambox.

There are many other types and brands, but when it comes to really good quality you gotta spend atleast over $100..

Completely agree with this. I have heard good things about the Jabra Solemate and even the Logitech UE boombox aswell as the beats pill but that is pushing $200+.
I would wait on a sale since big box stores like to put these portable speakers on sale and you could score a deal.

I have the UE Boombox and it's great. You can connect via bluetooth up to 8 devices, has a good range, and battery lasts for about 8-10 hours.

Headphones and Adapters Sound Issues.

Hi, for anyone who has weak and low sound with headphones on our beloved Mi A2.
I have tried most of the cheap and expensive headphones that the majority of people can buy.
And the best one out there for the value of great sound and money is the one i have mentioned below. I bought for 15$ in Iraq.
This headphones just KILLS it .
Huwawei Classic Earphones USB-C Edition
Model : CM33
Ps. Not a commercial or anything, just an average users review.

@Ahmedstarr93 Are you on the latest Android Pie stable ROM?
have you tried the active noise cancellation from huawei?
I was on oneplus 3 previously and was using audiotechnica earphones which used to work great for my personal use. With MI A2 the problem is the USB c to headphone adapter. The sound quality gets degraded a lot due to it. I'm still looking for alternative USB c earphones. The one you mention I can't find them in India e-commerce site.
Does any fellow India direct me towards good USB c earphones which one can buy in India?

Just buy Google pixel dongle. Or you can by hidizs sonata dac from AliExpres (better than pixel dongle). No USB C headphone is better than your audio Technica one at this moment.
U may try type c pixel ear buds! Available through Flipkart!

I agree that any good jack headphone is better than most bluetooth ones. And also better than many c-type headphones.
I think that if you already own good headphones, is better (and cheaper) to buy a DAC dongle. I'm sure that hidizs sonate is great. I haven't tested it.
I can recommend Venture Odyssey DAC. Is very cheap and it sounds really great with our A2. Its signal to noise ratio is worse than hidizs's (113 vs 98 dB), but it is way cheaper.
The thing is that the combination of A2 DAC plus the passive USB-C dongle provided with the A2 sounds awful. Things are way better with another DACs.
Best regards
