Presenting an ICS ROM based on the Stock Indian ICS release.

How to Install
(If on Stock ROM, Flash ODIN flashable tar for CWM 4)
Download ReCon V1.0 ROM from the below links, copy zip package to sdcard.
Boot into CWM recovery, Take a CWM back up, Go to mounts & storage, select mount /system.
Now, install zip from sdcard
Wipe cache, dalvik cache & Reboot.

For this MOD to work best do the following in your device
Go to Settings > Applications > All > Messaging > Clear Data
KNOWN BUGS AND WORK AROUNDS
Error while updating Google Apps ( Gmail, Youtube, Google Maps, etc) in Google Play.
Tested Work Around:
1. Download a system app remover like "No Bloat"
2. Go to Settings > Applications > each GAPP > clear cache and data.
3. Go to No Bloat > System Apps
4. Delete GAPPS which do not update by selecting "Backup and update"
5. Now reboot into CWM recovery and wipe cache and dalvic cache
6. Reboot system and install GAPPS form Google Play.

The ROM is in two parts for easy download. The MODs are in a separate zip, so any one can use it if they want to.
I am a Junior member here, not really a developer. I have used this ROM for several days now. It is running smoothly on my device.
I will need Seniors help if there are problems with the ROM or the MOD.

For those who want to run on the Stock Kernel I have attached a link below.
I personally use the stock kernel since I have had zero call drops ("call bug") with the stock kernel.
However, it is possible that the stock kernel has the EMMC brick bug.
So.. use the stock kernel with caution. Search the forum to see what not to do when on the stock kernel.
The absence of the call bug ( absolutely!!) make me to take the risk of having the stock kernel since I cannot miss a call in my profession.

I can say this ROM is based on Indian ICS. But is there any unique feature that other ICS ROMs don't have?

Well, no unique features.
Just that it is based on the Indian ICS release.
The stock Indian ICS was the first ROM after GB without a call bug experience for me.
This is a custom rom based on that.

Buddy, actually he has released it for indian users. Coz we didnt have indian based all these stuff. Also, lots of things is to b added. May b he will let u know better. But wait and let he completed all these. He is new to this and really not to release this. But he didi for us so...pls give him warm welcome.

I had put the rom to download overnight. Unfortunately power went. Tried downloading form my phone but getting the following error.
Edit: closed browser and tried. Working
Nokia 2110-->Sony Ericsson k750i -->Nokia 5233 --> Samsung Galaxy R

Will upload on other servers today.
Can the experienced here suggest which is the best hosting site to upload the ROM?

(1) is this confirmed to work? any jmp rom v11 users tried this yet? pls report results.
(2) better to have as an (app) icon in app drawer. saves using the hardware power button.
(3) although che is a global icon to many, a lot of people would not want him displayed on their lockring.
(4) what about the others like jetmod, jmp rom users? how to undo the tweaks? any patch?

It looks grt and promising but whats the ram usage.
Thats the critical point.
SystemUI is very good and better than suvi rom.
Gonna test it tomorrow.
But just some requests:
make ur rom light
how?
Just delete the music player,video player,calculator,watch on and health apps, samsung apps, samsung link and provide nova as default launcher.
U can provide all the goodies and tw launcher in other patch named media apps.
This way ur rom will be light and those like me who can install apps myself will not waste the internet packs
So is it a deal?
If u can then do this much then i will support u fully.
I will provide the bugs, try to provide solution for them as well, provide detailed reviews, promote ur rom(if its really good).
So what u say? Can u agree with my 1 condition that is?
Its fine if u can do it from nxt version.
Last thing is u will have to update the rom thoroughly and not copy others( ie if some rom has this feature then the next version of ur rom must not be updated just based on adding 1-2 features. Ur rom must be updated to be bugless and then add features)

Basic Troubleshooting:
Smooth Transitions - Go to Settings > NOT FOR NOOBS > Set All Animation from X.5 to X1
Error Android Process – Wipe Again/Dalvik and Flash the Rom
NO WIFI / Problem with Connection - Wipe Again/Dalvik and Flash the Rom
DISABLE ADBLOCK - USE ROOT EXPLORER / ROOT BROWSER Then Go To SYSTEM / ETC and Delete HOSTS then Reboot
Procedures:
- Wipe Data
- Wipe Cache
- Wipe Dalvik Cache
- Install the ROM FIRST
- IT WILL AUTOMATICALLY REBOOT
- AFTER BOOTING UP TO HOMESCREEN GO BACK TO RECOVERY AGAIN
- PLEASE DO NOT WIPE OR ELSE YOU WILL ENCOUNTER SYSTEMUI HAS STOPPED
- Flash the PATCH
- Done..

will do when i have time to modify the framework again or you can use GravityBox then use Solid Dark Holo Background... in the meantime i've uploaded the new V2.2 patch please download the patch and flash it again..

Please upload a patch for default S5 fonts . How/what is different between this ROM and Kalawakan V4 https://a919a110.wordpress.com/2014/08/25/rom4-1-x-kalawakan-v4-2/ ROM ?

im not the creator of Kalawakan V4... its a ported ROM from somewhere i dont know and he only used the name of my ROM.. its a little confusing but its not my work... only Kalawakan V2 and Kalawakan V2.2 are my work... i dont know what's the default font for S5.. do you know the name of the TTF? example is Rosemary.ttf...

I will try finding a patch for this I have already seen on some forum , you might be able to modify it to work on your ROM

that is not default S5 font.. the default font of S5 is Roboto Condensed which is the 1 i used in this ROM.. the one in the screenshot is the Rosemary font.. just search rosemary.ttf and install it using iFont..

My dad used this phone now he is having trouble with this device so i decided to show him some out of the box rom, im on stock rom that comes with the phone, want to try some custom ROMs,.. Have downloaded this rom .. Would need help if anyone can guide me how to flash recovery and do we need to unlock bootlaoder in this device?
Im aware of flashing methods as i flash custom roms on my personal devices ,but just want to be sure about this device ,as this device belongs to dad

But i am new with this phone,

well I do have A919 unit since it was released. and it went gaga just this day.
im previously using L919 V2 ZEXAR by ponnex, and i lost my installer. so now im on a hunt for a new ROM.

Good rom but lagging in games
I still use canvas a110.... most of the roms on xda r dead due to dev host not working(I cant download any roms) Ur rom looks r awesome but it laggs a lot in games and after 1-2 days of use... plz suggest me another rom which doesnt have dev host links and is stable or remove those lagging in ur rom
