Hello Guys,
I am in a confusion about Canvas series. I am currently using Samsung s5830 and now need to upgrade. I bought it @ 15000 and within 2 years its price slashed to almost half. So I have decided not to spend money on "brands". I really loved the way Micromax is coming out in market. Also aware of Canvas 4 but not interested to buy a "new" product. I will prefer an old models as we can get plenty of user reviews.
Now I am confused on these 2 models.
Canvas 2 plus and Canvas HD
I read some nice reviews as well as some really pathetic experiences people got with these handsets. I am a ROM developers so surely I won't run it on stock for more than few weeks. So I need your opinion on these two.
Price is not an issue, I need quality. Though HD had a nice resolution I heard it's having problems with camera quality and Audio quality. So just want your opinion to decide which one of these should I buy.
All your suggestions, reviews are welcome.

You should go with canvas HD.... as you are rom developer if you got any problem like you mention you can fix it but i don't think it has any problem
and the build quality of canvas HD is better than canvas 2 plus
Go with canvas HD.

To be honest both Canvas 2 HD & Canvas 2 plus are practically the same.... But Canvas HD has the upper hand in a few minor areas.. Would recommend Canvas HD.

Yesterday I went to Best-Buy and bought the Atrix Hd for $50, not including tax, cases, etc. From some of the negative reviews this phone has gotten I simply think it's amazing. It's swift, doesn't lag at all . It's what the atrix 2 should have been in my opinion. But I will help to continue to test ROM's in the community here. Micromax Canvas 2 is mentioned as Rs 10,249 on the flipkart but users will get an automatic reduction in the price while making the payment. Interested users will have to hurry as this is a time limited offer, valid only for today (27th june) or until the stocks last.

I am looking to sell my iPad and get a android tablet. I have the s4 phone and I love it, I also have a samsung laptop that I love as we'll so I am leaning towards a samsung tablet. What would you guys recommend, I have been looking at the note 8.0 and I have read mixed reviews so what do you guys think?
It's a solid tablet, but it all depends on how useful that S-Pen is going to be for you. Otherwise, if you're looking to get the most bang for your buck specs-wise, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

The $149 Hisense Sero 7 Pro is a great Nexus 7 clone available exclusively at Walmart, and occasionally you can find cheaper refurbs online for about 80-90 bucks. I got mine this June, and it was a great purchase decision! I've just recently rooted it and am running Dolorespark's dopaROM v1.1, which you can read about here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2470998 There's also a Kitkat-based ROM called Taktik (get it?) that I haven't tried yet as the camera and mp3 aren't working properly yet, but good news: Hisense just released the kernel source code today, and it looks like ROM development for this tablet is about to really take off! I feel disappointed to know the HTC ONE has won the best smartphone for the year 2013? How? why? and more-over LG won the most innovative brand of the year! Com'on this shouldn't be true!
Don't you think this is unfair to Galaxy S4 and Note 3 users out there???? They were the 2 best smartphones of 2013!

HTC One is arguably a better/more innovative phone than the S4; headphone amp, ultra pixel camera, blink feed, stereo speakers, etc. The S4 just has a smaller bezel, exchangeable battery and microSD slot. Cannot say much about the Note 3 as I don't own one, but I doubt there were that many changes compared to the Note 2.

That´s no surprise... The HTC is more or less acclaimed generally by everyone. For me as a s4 user the only thing that feels better then the one is the bigger screen and sd slot, on the other hand, the HTC beats the s4 fast everywhere like quality construction, sound, design and also camera. That´s no scandal.
LG wise the G2 is a great device with awesome battery times (more then N3) and also they came out with great features and build quality. I don´t see any scandal in that.

Jan 2015 I bought Oneplus One used it for a year and finally sold it on Jan 2016 and bought iPhone 6s 64GB for more than $1000. Since then Ive been using it and frankly Im terribly disappointed and frustrated by the whole iOS eco system. Not to mention the higher cost of same Apps vis-a-vis Android.
Im now planning to get a second phone, an android, for my love of rooting and flashing custom ROMs and for changing more than a wallpaper in the name of customization. And eventually sell my iphone after a year since selling it now will cause heavy depreciation loss to me.
Ive set a budget of $200 to buy a custom rom happy android phone, please tell me which phones should I consider. Im open to used phones too.
Please note that phone should have rich custom rom development activities.
