Hi
Sorry if the answer's already on the forum, but i couldn't find it.
I'm in the UK and have just used the LGMobile Support Tool. It found an update and updated my P920 to v21g.
However I was hoping that it would find the update to v30a (ICS). I saw on the LG firmware list that some other countries in Europe have this available to them, and noticed that if i change the country selection in the LG tool to one of those countries then the v30a seems to be available for me to update.
My question is: if i update my phone using this method (not using an official UK release) will it still work on O2 here in the UK, or are the separate country updates tailored to the carriers of each of country only?
Thanks!
It should be fine except I keep reading about LG update tool 'breaking' phones. v30A is Euro so it should be ok as long as that it updates properly. If you have problems you can reflash using LG Flash Tool. Also, if there are any connection problems you can flash a baseband separately for your region.

LG updater uses .kdz files that combine .bin (system software) and .fls (baseband/connection software). With LG Flash Tool you can install these independently, so you can try another baseband if one is not working for you.
Custom ROM XBSA v8 is v30A firmware, btw.

It's best to ask this here: G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting.
There is a nice guide for manually flashing firmware to your device: [Guide] LG G3 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock).
Maybe it's helpful. But I won't flash a firmware for a different model, as long as no one else has reported that it works fine.

I own a LG G2 D802, and my software version is D80220c-AME-XX. I recently found a open source code on lg website for LG G2 D802, It was a lollipop 30d source file. I wanted to ask that wether I could flash this source file on my model and if there will be any problems. Here is the link of the source file on Lg website : www(dot)opensource(dot) lge[dot]com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=d802 {remove 'dot' and replace with "." }
My phone has middle eastern version of software as you can ses there is AME in thd software version. If the kdz file present in the link is fine for my model, can you also describe the process of upgrading software using kdz file.
Thank You
