It is not clearly mentioned but the text below the seek bar (start and end of the interval) is editable, can be modified and thus able to refine the time range.
We're looking for more data (with permissions of course, your published works can be cited) to have a more consistent database; though, it is the beginning.
Let us know if you experienced issues (on ICS notably or crashes when the app starts).

A quite similar feature is the search button
You can search for remains/fossils by entering the name of a place, country or museum; the list will remain sorted by extinction date .
We wil add a similar feature for the discoveries gallery (third tab).

m-parking is an easy and configurable parking fee payment interface.
It allows you to super-quickly pay the parking without worrying about mistyping the zone number or your car registration. Essentially, it sends an SMS with your car registration to a dedicated zone number to initiate a parking fee payment (in supported areas; more details below).
What distinguishes it from the 99% of other parking fee payment applications out there (beside the polished UI and operation) is the above mentioned "configurable" part. Apart from all the predefined countries (6), cities (190+) and zones (570+), it offers the possibility to enter your own parking zone data and to start using the app in minutes even though your country/city did not come as predefined. So, even without having zone data available, app is used literally worldwide!
The app is on the market (QR and links below) and it has received only praises, both from reviews on the market and from publications in renowned IT and computer magazines (links below). All that is great, but what we're aiming for here is to get more feedback on the current look&feel and functionality from xda-dev users (experts, developers and aficionados).
Even if your location does not offer parking fee payment system m-parking supports (details below), install it and just give feedback on the UX. If m-parking does support your location, even better -- you can try it and report on the full experience!

I've been using the app for some time now and am quite satisfied how it works and, especially, how it gradually got even more refined.
Only problem I had so far was on the first use. My location was found automatically and, after I entered my cars registration, I wasn't sure what will happen when I pressed the zone-button. Somehow I expected a confirmation dialog, but the message was immediately sent
Well, after that initial "scare' I found there is a setting for confirmation, but I actually decided I liked better the fast way -- open, press, done!

Oh yes, and for the feature suggestion, I propose: a more localized license plate image.
I understand that supporting each and every possible country for this is like science fiction, but at least an EU and non-EU template?

Just a small update introducing a quick, anonymous survey to document the satisfaction with m-parking and Dream of Electric Sheep’s service and to collect suggestions for improvements.
Users who haven’t bought m-parking yet and who have made 5 or more parking payments will be offered to answer a short survey and be rewarded with 5 additional payments!

Version 2.1.2 is out.
Thanks to all who took their time to fill out the survey. Your input is valuable and will lead to a better product for all users!
After analyzing the survey feedback (initiated in the previous release version), a few similar requests have been indentified and are now implemented:

3.0 beta test open
Hey guys,
As previously mentioned, m-parking notably appeared on the The App Clinic (with Reto Meier and Ian Ni-Lewis) and the very first Android Design in Action (with Roman Nurik and Nick Butcher) and, while feedback from both reviews was constructive and valuable, we were unable to dedicate much time for this particular app till now.
Business priorities aside, we decided that the app which is loved by its users (4.8 score on Google Play) as well as praised by critics deserves some more loving from us again! So, we've worked hard last few months improving its design while retaining the appearance and compatibility all the way down to platform version 2.2. We've ironed out most wrinkles within our closed Alpha test group and would now like to offer you the possibility to try it and to voice your opinion -- if we're on the right track and what could still use improving.
As we all know, screenshots are great for presentations, but the real user experience is in the interaction with the app, so we're asking you to install the app and try it for yourself first. As the changes are not yet live, you'd need to join the m-parking community to participate in this Google Play Beta test. But, don't worry if you haven't done that before, it's easy (you'll see the pinned post how it's done once you join the community).
Your feedback is much appreciated and we can't wait to hear from you!

Here are the recent changes in m-parking app version 3.1.
After some issues with our "m-parking unlocker" app, we have decided to abandon that old approach to unlocking the premium content and to switch to the modern and well adopted in-app payments.
Even though both approaches have the same end effect, the in-app billing is more straight-forward and offers more convenience for the user.
Unlike key bought via PayPal™, which is also no longer an option for unlocking premium content (although previously bought keys will work on the device they were bought for), the premium content unlocked with in-app payment works on a principle: buy once and use on every (supported) device with your Google account.
A note to current "m-parking unlocker" app users: in case of license problems, please don't hesitate to contact us by Email.

Yes, a new graphic is scheduled in the first months of 2015.
I add new functionality every update(1-2 week), but I think that some features that my app have aren't common in other (not many but some yes ).
